"i have to give Micro Center a Five Star since they restored my faith in the consumer marketplace.
item was delivered on time, during the New Years' period.
Another company I had ordered the same item from (Frys) had confirmed order, sent shipping notice, and then said "item no longer available" all in about 20 minutes.
contacted Micro Center and my power supply was delivered BEFORE the date Frys said it would be.
THANK YOU to Micro Center."
"I still can't load this on my computer and they don't know how to help me. They say they only do hardware, not software. I'm afraid if I take my Mac over to them, I will lost everything on it. Someone should be able to solve this issue. "
"When I ordered this item their website said 1 to 3 working days to ship. The receipt indicated that it would ship in 3 working days and even specified a date. Several days after that supposed shipping date, I still had not received any information whatsoever. I tried their webchat. After 15 minutes, I was told that it had not shipped and they could not provide any anticipated shipping date. And that they could not cancel my order. I then telephoned them. Another 15 minutes and the order was cancelled. I never would have ordered it in the first place if they had been upfront and honest with the shipping date. "
"Had to really “search” for what I was looking for!"
"Phillip was able to give me a code so I could update my other two computers Eset. While we were on the phone together he emailed it to me. I followed the directions and now I'm all set! Thanks Phillip T!"
"I went into store for an online order pickup and the computer was not in stock although I was sent a confirmation that my order was ready for pickup.
Then I ordered the computer online, waited 5 days and received an email that my order was cancelled because the item was no longer in stock.
Why show the inventory count on the site and let me purchase 2 separate ways if you are not going to fulfill the order and waste my time driving to pick it up or wait at my office for something that isn't going to show up? I don't understand why it takes 5 days to tell me it was out of stock and my order was cancelled, we had depended on that computer."
"Usually I order online and pick up in store, never had any issues. First time I ordered online for home delivery has not been nearly as smooth. Once I've ordered (other then the confirmation email) no further contact and according to the website standard shipping is FedEx and is usually two days plus prep. I waited 7 days till I contacted MC customer support (via chat) as there was no update just stated routed (which there is no explanation for that status). CS stated it was still showing as going to the warehouse and would send an email to kick start them, I received an confirmation email that it was now shipping with in 24 hrs. 5 stars for their customer support team. I will probably no longer order for delivery and just drive the 1.5 hrs to the store. MC is still a great place to shop!"
"I got charge for something I never received. Or if I did receive it it went to my spam mail. I called and they took care of everything. Thank you"
"I purchased a refurbished Samsung Chromebook and the updates are no longer available. It would be nice if that information was put on line with the computer picture and price."
"This is my first and last order with Microcenter. I placed an order on January 6, 2020 for 32gb of DDR4 SDRAM for nearly $200. The website said that it would ship within 1-3 business days and Microcenter got it shipped on January 8, as promised. However, I paid for standard shipping (either FedEx Ground or FedEx Home according to the Microcenter FAQ). Unfortunately, Microcenter shipped this item FedEx Smartpost, which is not what I paid for. When I contacted customer service they said they don't use Smartpost and that I need to contact FedEx. Clearly the agent hadn't bothered to review the Order # I provided to her or she would have seen that the tracking number Microcenter provided is clearly a FedEx Smartpost number. Once she understood that, she then changed her story and said Microcenter uses Smartpost for "low value items". Clearly she still hadn't looked at the Order or she would have seen the value. At the end of the day, Microcenter's Customer Service is really only "Customer Management". They provided no real solutions and were at best lazy or at worst dishonest. "
"Ordered all the components for a PC build 6 days ago, and the website site listed that everything is in stock. Checked some of their stores too, and everything also is in stock there. They have still not shipped anything to me, and it is not because of an inventory issue. They just don't have any sense of urgency and will ship things to you whenever they feel like it. Amazon, Adorama, and Newegg all ship on the day of the order, and I think Microcenter has serious issues with logistics and providing reasonable customer services. I am also not happy about paying shipping charges on 1.5K worth of small components. As the owner of a new company, I can't afford to sit around and wonder when computer parts will arrive."
"I have not received my order yet and I am curently going through the pain staking process of figuring out why.
30 min on the phone going from one department to the next. now I'm waiting on email from upper management..
tick tock tick tock..."
"Web site said in stock, wasn’t in stock waited about 7 s DW days. Paid overnight shipping to get item ordered next day then was told it was on order. At minimum I should automatically been given the option to cancel. Not to mention I was billed for the item as soon s as I ordered it not when it shipped."
"I had a number of small items in mind when I came to MicroCenter, which is out of my way and neighborhood but I stoped by after an appointment since it was a little closer. I was approached by several employees during my stay but it was clear that most of them had little interest in answering my questions. A few pointed in the general direction of their suggestions and didn’t walk with me to the aisle or area to explain to see if I needed any more assistance. I was left wandering around the store looking for the correct spots. Finally someone on the other side of the store directed me back to where I came from and vice versa. No one wanted to bother. I finally realized it was because they were working on commission and no one wanted to take the time to assist me. I finally did meet one employee who seemed more helpful but he kept walking away and I had more questions. The last person who “helped” me was a bit too pushy and was encouraging me to purchase a product without giving all the info I needed. I honestly was open to buying larger ticketed items once I was there since there had been items I had been considering for some time in their stock. All in all I decided not to because I didn’t feel I was given the service I wanted. In the end I “helped myself” find what I wanted and told myself I could at least be satisfied with my purchases since they should be quality and not cheap manufactures. I didn’t feel I was getting some special deal. I just told myself “well this is what better items cost.” But I was wrong. I went to bed with my tablet plugged into my nice new charging cord and my phone sitting on a really nice looking wireless charger. (The one recommended to me). Three o’clock in the morning I woke up and neither had charged. I tried everything. I took my phone out of its case, I moved it around, trying to figure out what I had done wrong. The charging cord for my tablet was hot. I preceded to plug it into my old charger and it “charged away.” I gave up on the wireless charger. It was too much trouble trying to position my phone and in addition it was sliding all over the “pad”. There was nothing to keep it in place since it was “glassy” on top. I just knew my iPhone was going to slide off on the floor and crack in a million pieces. I decided there was no point to a wireless charger that required me to take off the case and which frankly still wouldn’t charge if I did. I have two other items and I honestly want to take them all back. I rarely write reviews but I’m annoyed. I don’t have a MicroCenter in my area and I will have to make a special trip to return everything. A total waste of my time, money and gas. "
