"Working with mixbook was great. The book i did came was very easy to make, and any problems I had mixbook was there to help. After finishing the book they said it would arrive on November 27 and it was there on time. The book was a success, my mom was very pleased as it brought out a lot tears as everyone looked through it.

"The final product (calendar) turned out well. The software to create the calendar could use some upgrades. You can't really edit without using their back button which undoes everything sequentially. You also can't shift whole pages around-for example, if you want to switch December's page with May's you have to redo both pages. Also, manipulating photos to fit in certain spaces is not intuitive and sometimes difficult or impossible. Zooming in/out is tricky.
I spent several hours creating the calendar for a youth group that is spread out across the country. I asked customer service if they could ship each calendar directly- "No, we don't do that." I followed up by asking if they could include shipping containers for each calendar (I would have been happy to pay extra)-"no, we don't do that either." How do you ship 1 calendar?
When I went to checkout, I was excited that my cost for the calendars was under budget-it was helpful to have a 50% off email deal. And, then-BAM-a $75 shipping charge for a single box ($330 order). Outrageous. I've worked in shipping and have had much larger items (furniture, fridge, wood burning stove) that have shipped for less or have even been shipped free. Mixbook, if you are going to charge an arm and a leg for shipping, be upfront about it. Nowhere on the website are approximate shipping charges given. If I hadn't already spent so much time designing the calendar, I would have cancelled my order."

"I loved it, so easy to use with options, made a book for each of my girls, some pics were to light to dark, out of focus n the tools on mixbook really cleaned it up, loved that I could add people's names so they don't forget their childhood friend names, I could put hearts n stars around pics, I could fill a page with one pic n put other pics in it, I could go on n on about the colors, stickers flipping a pic, the books r beautiful!!! 1 last thing, I had an issue using a coupon code, I sent an email was contacted in a day and helped me understand what I did wrong, cleared it up so I made a book for me lol"

"Overall we were pretty happy with the calendars. There were a lot of templates to choose from and I liked being able to add birthdays and special events. A few issues were that some of my pictures were mirror imaged when the calendars printed. Also, a few lost the clarity they had when uploaded. The shipping was pretty fast but was really expensive. We chose regular shipping and live in the same province but there was only one payment option. We wondered if there was a pick up option in Calgary but couldn't find anything online. "

"I have used Mixbook several times over the past 5 years and experienced a high level of satisfaction. This time, however, was quite different. I had difficulty with the photo uploading process. Photos would appear to be uploaded allowing me to edit them on my page, then I would get an error message saying the photo failed to upload. It would disappear from the photo tray and from my page. The project took me 3-4 times as long as it should have.

I contacted the live support people and had a satisfactory experience with her. The suggested fixes, though, did not actually improve the process. I continued with the project because I had so much time already invested in it, and I don't love learning new programs. I am not sure I will try again. :( "
