"i was very impressed with the ModCloth website and the variety of items that they had available. Particularly the fashions. I had found 3 dresses that I loved and very excitedly ordered. I made sure I followed the sizing charts and advice. As I live in Canada - no free shipping for Canadians! As well no way that we could track my shipment - kinda frustrating. When my shipment did arrive I was hit with an extra $20.00 for duties. I have ordered from numerous other US online sites and have NEVER had to pay duty before. None-the-less I was excited to open up the parcel and try on my items. My initial impression when I opened up the items was that I was a little disappointed as the quality was not what I was expecting from the descriptions or for the price. When I tried the items on - I had to look again to make sure I had received the correct sizes. I am slightly long waisted and found that on all 3 of the dresses the dress waist ended up sitting just below my bust. I debated exchanging for different sizes except for the fact that the dresses basically fit otherwise. If I did order larger sizes in order to get a proper fitting waist I would have had to alter the rest of the dress. Definitely not worth the price. As well I was worried again about what duties I was going to have to pay for again if I did an exchange. I sent the items back 3 days later and am still waiting for the refund to show up on my statement. Can't say I will ever order again from ModCloth and would not recommend to any Canadian to order from the site."

"What I ordered arrived broken --- and with in minutes of sending in an email to customer service to let them know, a lovely person replied, apologising and promising to send a replacement. The replacement arrived with in a week; everything was handled very professionally and no one made more work for me. It was a great experience --- of course, people understand that things break. I like that they give details like whether item provide stretch, material made, length, different views and zoom function. "I really love this Panda Mug. It is soooooo cute and I love that they sent me a free sample of floral bows. Unfortunately my bow broke during the day and when I came home the bow was missing from the clip, but the mug was superb. It was a little smaller then I expected but it was really cute and keeps the drink cool or warm and when my friends come over and we have hot cocoa or a smoothies they compliment me on the mug and ask where I bought it. Now I check your website everyday for dresses and other cute things. Thanks ModCloth, you guys are great and it was a great birthday present! "

"Incorrect info given by Modcloth resutled in my paying EXTRA on duties (Paid over 40% the value of my order in duties, something I've NEVER had to do with any other online shopping I have done. Kind of defeats the purpose of a sale.), submitted a complaint over a week ago and have yet to hear back (which is why I am leaving the review here). Over priced and poor customer service, not impressed. And the dress I received doesn't even fit well, even with following the recomendations given on the site. Will not be shopping Modcloth again. "

"I was so thrilled with my last purchase at ModCloth! I had returned a dress, (which was so easy with free shipping!) and then when I went to purchase this top, the credit immediately popped up and Mod asked me if I wanted to use it for the order. SO awesome and convenient! "

"Not overly impressed. I ordered a dress from their site for $84.99, free shipping. It turned out to be too small, so I requested an exchange. The size I needed was out of stock, and apparently nobody knows when things will be back in stock (By the way, I've signed up for several "notification emails" and I've found that they rarely work).

So I did a refund instead. I sent the dress back on the 24th, and they're supposed to receive it a week later. Then it's 1-3 business days to process the return, then 3-5 to actually see money in my account. ALMOST THREE WEEKS for a return. Yikes.

After I sent the dress back, I shopped around for the size I needed. I found several vendors online, including eBay sellers, with the EXACT SAME DRESS for around $55 plus shipping. NOT buying from ModCloth saved me $20!! ModCloth just renames items so you can't Google the name. I ordered their "Budding Starlet" dress, which is ACTUALLY called a " Hell Bunny Charlie 50's" dress.

Bottom line: SHOP AROUND! The exact same item was $20 cheaper from a different vendor."

"I will never shop with this company again due to their misleading size chart. I am currently a bridesmaid in a wedding and the dress I ordered was suppose to be a medium but to my suprise it was a Extra Large. Apparently the sale was final but now I know why. They probably had so many issues with send backs from the grossly oversized dresses that they decided to discount it and make it All Sales Final. I am very frusterated and stressed. They said I coulld order another one in a size small for 20% off but I would hate to waste money and get stuck with two dresses. Buyer Beware, if it's All Sales Final there is probably a reason for that (besides the fact that the dresses are made in china.) I said I would pay the shipping for the exchange but they won't allow it. They blame it on the way their system is set up on their computer (I don't buy it and I now will never buy there either.) "
