"Purchased a 'medium' priced dress for my daughter. always a high risk undertaking for a father.
She was delighted and the dress looked beautiful. She wore it to her winter formal.

The only down side was size. I got a small, and it was still a bit big. Would be great if some dimensions were included with the size... not that i know my daughter's dimensions,,, but as a guy sizes in measurable units seem like a great idea.

"I recently purchased a couple dresses from ModCloth. They arrived very quickly and were cute as can be. They fit well too.

One of them had a zipper that didn't work and I called to see how to get a replacement. Although I had to call twice to get it resolved, they offered to send a replacement dress out before I even sent the broken zipper dress back. The first person might have been new but they were polite, listened and attempted to address the issue. Unfortunately, they didn't and I had to call again to inquire. The second person was apologetic and handled it immediately. As soon as I received the replacement dress, I sent out the broken zipper dress.

They were so responsive with the entire process that I would still recommend them to anyone. I've gotten numerous compliments on both dresses and I love them.

I will DEFINITELY order from ModCloth again as well as recommend them to others. However, I hope ModCloth does speak to all of their customer service agents to confirm when speaking to a customer on returns (any needed numbers for the return, names, dates etc....this was omitted from the first call.)"

"As soon as I received the tee shirt I put it in the wash in cold water and air dried. The tee shirt had shrunk about 2 sizes so I couldn't wear it. Disappointed in the quality of the product."

"I have made many purchases on Modcloth and have always enjoyed the relatively low priced, unique merchandise that I found on this site. However, my most recent order was a huge disappointment. The merchandise was all as anticipated, but the $100 duty charge for shipping to Canada was not. This is the first time I have been charged duty on an order from Modcloth, and while I understand duty can be charged, the amount was obscene (nearly 1/3 of what the order cost!). When I called UPS expecting that a mistake had been made over the duty fee, I was informed that even though the products came from the US, they were made in China and I must pay import fees as if I were importing the items from China. This seems very unreasonable, as duty fees should have been paid for the products' import into the US. I will no longer be ordering goods from Modcloth."
