"Ordered two Xecuter3 chips and one blue case. Got the product very promptly. Opened the product up last night and the blue case had a case accross the top. Called FedEx to have it picked up last night and put a help ticket in with their support. Overall happy with sale but believe modchipman should package their blue xbox cases a little better as there was no packing material around the case. Just the case snug in the box. any pressure on the box would crack the case. Will update on RMA process once I get further.

UPDATE: MEGAN, Modchipman manager already responded and advise. Quick service responce. Will respond once I get my new case. Great service!

"Ordered an Xecuter 3 pre-mod xbox. The site says the pre-mods usually ship out 2-5 days. Took a bit longer for me, shipping on day 7 due to the new release of the chip and the DVD playback kit I ordered, which had been backordered.

When the Xbox arrived, I had no video. After a quick talk with modchipman's customer support, it was discovered that the chip had become loose during shipping. I re-seated the chip and everything worked fine after that. The item was well-packed for shipping so there wasn't much modchip man could have done to prevent this.

When I tried to first contact customer support I was a bit concerned as the only direct means appeared to be via a bulletin-board style interface. However, after several such discussions with one of the agents (kfree), these worries were put to rest. The responses were very quick even at odd hours during the night. I was actually very suprised at how responsive customer support was to the posts. Later I found access to an IM-type interface they had online which had immediate responses (again from kfree).

I actually had a couple of discussions with the customer support, reaching kfree each time. Kfree was always knowledgable and very helpful. Many thanks to kfree for the help.

The experience was good enough that at my suggestion a friend ordered an X3 Chip and I ordered a 2nd pre-mod, this one for another friend. Will definetly do more business here in the future."

"I bought a XBIT 1.5 modchip from ModChipMan. It was shipped and at my house within 3 days (good stuff). However, the original shipment was missing 2 reqired wires to complete the MOD. I eMailed their customer support and recieved a reply within 12 hours and the missing wires were shipped within 24 hours of the original complaint.

Although modchipman has a very informal irc channel for customer support, it is very courteous and professional when it comes to order inquiry. The international package took only 5 days to arrive. My brand new chip was well protected in a plastic wrapper. Upon installing the chip, everything worked just the way they promised on the web. "I bought a DMS XBIT 1.5 from this company. It was a used item - the write protection was taken off already.

It also appeared to be a forgery based upon the pictures they have on their own site.

I would say buy it from someone else unless you want a hassle. I am still trying to get it to work but will most likely be shipping it back to them for a full refund.

I imagine the last person they tried to ship this same chip to couldn't get it to work either and they just put it back in a bag and sent it out again.

"I ordered an Xecuter 2.6 Lite Solderless. I had a good bit of trouble from FedEx, though. At first they delivered to the wrong house. When they finally got my package to me, the package was all beat up and the modchip was broken. I filed a claim with FedEx, but they denied it because they couldn't verify the price. They didnt even contact me like they said they would when they had made a decision. They just waited until I called to tell me, which was a week and a half later. Well, of course this made me very angry, so I contacted Modchipman's technical support (it like a forum style, some hate it, I like it because it's a lot faster than having to constantly call customer support.)Before I went to bed that night the support person told me they would ship a new chip the next business day. They have very fast support, processing, and shipping. Their prices are also good. The only complaint I have is that their shipper (FedEx) sucks at finding houses, at least in my area."
