"Purchased OCZ power supply on 9/7 (2 day air mail). My paypal charged credit card immediately. I rec'd e-mail on 9/8 stating order had been sent to warehouse for shipping and would ship in 2-3 days. I used order inquiry on website on the 12th (no response yet). I then called on the 15th and was told by very nice rep that she was unsure why it hadn't mailed because it was due to go out the day prior. She assured me that she was on the case and would e-mail me if anything prevented it from going out that day; now its 24 hours later and still no e-mail or tracking number. What has happened to customer service? I was expecting her to offer to reimburse my shipping charges or upgrade me to next day delivery but nothing but a broken promise to ship me something that day that should have already been in my posession."
"I have had good results with this company in the past, but this recent episode has completely soured me on the company. I ordered a custom system with a motherboard that I knew was well supported by my operating system. When they couldn't obtain the motherboard I had selected, without consulting me they shipped the system with a motherboard they thought was comparable but in fact has serious compatabilty problems. The kicker is that they refused to take it back and return my money claiming it was against their terms of service.
Update: I've been contacted by the top management of the company, and we are working towards a resolution. They assure me this sort of thing is rare and is certainly not their normal business practice. I'll post more when we've resolved the issue.
Update: The only solution offered by the company involved me buying more stuff from them at a trivial discount. I'm making do with what they shipped me, but I won't be dealing with them in the future."

"Pre-ordered the Intel Core 2 Duo from their website. Unfortunately, I found another vendor that had the item at a earlier date so I tried to cancel the order. I called Monarch at least 3 times and on all occasions they seemed to have been too busy to pick up the phone. So I sent them an email informing them that I wanted to cancel and requested them to email me back with confirmation. Will they did cancel the order but I had to check their website to realize that. They didn't email me a confirmation. Horrible communication! Oh and as for the refund of my pre-order? It has now been at least 45 days since I cancelled and the charge is STILL on my credit card. I tried calling some more but guess what? Still no one to pick up that phone. I had to go through my credit card company to file a charge complaint. I don't know if this is normal but I definitely won't be shopping here anymore."
"Final Update: Once I placed my order on September 2, I received a ship date of September 29. Please note, you should call Monarch before placing your order to get your possible ship date since the ship date that is listed on your online order form is incorrect (mine said that the estimated ship date was Sept. 12). My computer shipped on September 27. Each time I sent in a query, I received a response back within 24 hours. I want to extend my thanks to their customer service rep Shawn who was particularly helpful in keeping me updated and my order moving along. The only other comment I have is that when I received my computer, something was installed incorrectly that caused the computer to restart each time a game was played on it. Fortunately, all I had to do was reformat and reinstall XP and everything worked. Nonetheless, it was a significant waste of time on my part to fix something that should have been taken care of before shipment. The bottom line is that my experience has been somewhat positive and I would consider purchasing from Monarch again."
"Purchased parts and they did not have them in stock so we cancelled our order. They had already charged the credit card and when we asked them to refund it they said it would be 30 days. It has been over 30 days and still no refund after many phone calls. Need I say more?????"

The person I spoke with was very nice, and helped to clarify everything. The order was then shipped to me faster at their expense! Fantastic service and communication!"

"Wow!!! This is a great company. While many companies try to offer low prices, they will get you in the end with their high shipment charges. Not this company! "This was my third motherboard/cpu purchase from Monarch. I've been quite satisfied with their response time and have had no problems if I called to check on the order's status. Particularly important to me is their pretesting mobo/cpu/ram combos prior to shipping. Although I'm not at all concerned about installing these things myself, pretesting prior to shipment precludes any number of things that can go wrong with new items. A good example, my recent order was delayed because the Monarch techs were unhappy when the first CPU they installed seemed to be running a little hotter then it should so they replaced it before shipping. I would most definitely order from them again."
"Truly an amazing experience. I somehow managed to place an order for an item that had sold out. Now, with most websites, I would have found this out via an automated email, but Monarch has gone far beyond the call of duty. Not only did I receive a phone call from a manager who had already left work for the day, but also a deal to replace the one I had missed. The phone call alone places Monarch at a level of customer service I have simply never experienced before, but the offer to "make it right" when they had really done nothing wrong is truly extraordinary. Finally after August 10th gave up on their responses of "it will ship in two days" And cancelled order. Now Monarch says wait 15-30 Days for my credit card to be refunded for the cancelled purchase, well it has been over 30 days and there has been NO refund to my CREDIT CARD. Monarch has no CLUE when it comes to Customer Sevice! and they have shady business practices.....BUYER BEWARE! "
