"I purchased an AMD 4800x2 after the price drop, 5 minutes later I changed my mind, and immediately sent an Email to cancel. This was acknowledged, and I thought everything would be alright. There was a hold on my money in my bank account, and I thought this to be normal, and would probably go away in a few days. Skip ahead to Wednesday, and the money was posted as a final sale. I called and emailed them to no avail. Skip ahead to Wednesday Aug 16th , and still they are holding money that does not belong to them. I finally got some one, and they said it would take 30 days. This is fraud, if they do this time x amount of customers they are making a lot in interest. I am going to my bank in they am and will be signing an affidavit to dispute this charge as fraudulent. "I recently purchased a BFG 7900GT graphics card and an AMD 4600+ CPU from Monarch Computer, about a week after I ordered I still hadn't recieved my shipping confirmation so today I decided to call and check on my order. I talked to customer service and got everything straightened out quickly and easily, they also upgraded my shipping to overnight express. "I purchased an HIS Radeon X1900XT 512MB video card from this store on August 1st. I was told that it would be mailed from the store within 2-3 days. When a week passed by with no word, I filled out the Order Status form, sent email to their order status department, and even made phone calls, with no real pertinent information being relayed to me. Finally and email was sent to me from the order status department saying that it would be mailed August 14th, 14 days after I made the order.
The 14th passed by with no word, again. So today, Tuesday the 15th, I called their number once again, thinking I was going to have to cancel my order, say some uncharacteristic things, and post a negative rating. I told the operator my situation and was put on hold for a minute, when a supervisor (I think) named Joe picked up the phone.
Joe was incredibly friendly, very understanding of the situation I was being put in, and had a game plan before he picked up the phone. I was told that the video card shipment that I had ordered was messed up by the manufacturer, and that an upgraded version had been mailed to Monarch. Joe said that he would pick up the cost of the upgrade and also grant me next day shipping in compensation.
Needless to say, I was astounded by his generousity. Alone, Joe changed my opinion of the company, and not just cause of the bonus I got out of it."
"While at first, I was not happy about the misunderstanding between the reference to "shipping" and "delivery" on the website, a phone call to Monarch cleared up the confusion and the motherboard I had ordered was delivered "overnight express" to my obvious satisfaction. "After significant research, I purchased about $20,000 worth of CAD/CAM workstations for our company. Monarch came through with flying colors.
David F. assisted me through the purchasing process. Unlike many other companies that I've dealt with, he represented Monarch well by respecting my knowledge and not "selling" me on anything.
He knew that I had done my homework, and he was happy to put together the order. He kept me informed of the build status and was never to busy to take my call if I had questions. He was friendly, and generally knew the technology well.
The systems were built well, and all cabling looked professional. There were no DOA systems, and they have been very fast since day one.
Before I did a RR review, I wanted to use the systems for a while. The systems, now over a year old, have worked out great. I had one motherboard die about 8 months in and a bad DVD-RW after about 10 months. Both were taken care of quickly by Monarch Support. In both cases, I was offered upgraded hardware, as the original hardware was no longer available.
Kudos to David and everyone at Monarch. When it comes time to upgrade, I'll be calling Davind again!"
