"I bought a motherboard/cpu combo, and the experience was VERY positive. I would recommend Monarch, in a heartbeat, to anyone. They are very careful with your personal information, which is uncommon and refreshing. Their prices for combinations and barebones are very good. I feel they are more interested in getting the order done correctly, than faster- which is an important plus. I'd rather have the item I ordered, than the wrong item in two days.

Received an email about unable to verify shipping address on the same day.
I called my credit card company around weekend to added a authorized alternate shipping address.
Recevied an email on Monday, 5th June that Monarch successfully processed the order and the order is transferred to warehouse for packing/shipping.
Waited till today, Friday, 9th June, NO shipping information received. Called Monarch twice today afternoon, all told me that the item is ready for shipping and I should receive a Fedex tracking number later during night.
Just received shipping information on Friday after I wrote this review. Monarch upgraded the shipping from Fedex Ground to Fedex 2 Day which isn't any faster if you count in the LONG processing time."
"i ordered it 2 day shipping and it sat at their store for 3 days before it was shipped. i dont understand why it takes so long to pack an item up and have fedex pick it up. if newegg can rush an order (for 2.99) i dont see why they cant and i also dont see why any places needs to charge to get the item to you on time "

I ordered a video card from this store and selected an alternate shipping address at my place of work. No one is home during the day to sign for the package. I promptly received an email from customer service asking me to verify that my work address is authorized on my credit card. I called and verified, then responded to customer support saying it is authorized and to proceed with the order. The next day I received an email saying that they could not verify the address with my CC company and they will not complete the order because of possible fraudulent activity. At this point, I decided it would be easier to cancel the order and buy from somewhere else. So I emailed customer support and requested my order be cancelled, to which I received a confirmation from a person saying it was cancelled.
Last week I got my Credit card statement in the mail and guess what? They charged my account for the full amount of the order. There was no credit/refund in any amount. Why would they refuse to complete a "sketchy" order and then charge the card?? Now, all attempts to contact their customer support go unanswered. I finally had to file a dispute with my credit card company and open an investigation against them. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE!"
"Great company been with them since 1998 and are really making an effort to keep customers "in-the-loop" when demand exceeds supply. My AM2 processor was delayed by AMD production shortages but the customer service department has kept me up-to-date on status and is willing to make suggestions as to options available in these cases."

When I called to find out what happened, they upgraded my processor AND shipped it Next day air for Saturday delivery so I still had it in time for a weekend computer build. Talk about great service! Got an email on the 5th (3 business days + a weekend later) saying that they didn't have any processors due to AMD having manufacturing problems and that they would send me an email sometime in the next two weeks to let me know when I might receive one. Here's a guess, ummm ...the 30th? What DID they have "In-stock" then?
Meanwhile my Credit Card was charged (not a hold, a full charge) within 15 minutes of when I ordered on the 31st. Nice to know that they think I will float it for a month before seeing my processor eh? Oh yeah, all the other parts I ordered have not only already shipped, but are sitting on my workbench.
But hey, they let me know it should only take 15-20 days to refund me the money I gave them for a product they never had. That helps, right?"

I bought a motherboard/processor/heatsink bundle through Monarch that inluded a DFI Lanparty UT nF4-D, Opteron 144, and Thermaltake Big Typhoon. The order page said that Monarch would set up the system and test it before shipping, which was a huge bonus to ordering from them, because I knew I would not be getting a defective product. After setting up the combo in my case, I found there was no way they could have done any testing before shipping the parts to me. The heat sink was installed properly wtih a reasonable amount of thermal compound, but the temperature of the processor was hovering around 50 degrees C at idle in the bios, and jumped to over 70 when booting windows. It shut down after five minutes and the motherboard had to be reset. I have spent many hours on the phone waiting on hold as different people answered and transferred me between the departments, without ever getting through to tech support. The one time I did get through, I explained my problem and the line suddenly disconnected!
I'm assuming the processor is defective, as it doesn't seem to be quite flat (lower in the middle than at the edges), but I suppose it could also be an issue with the motherboard. I have reinstalled the heat sink many times, and even tried a different one, but nothing helped. This would not have happened if Monarch had lived up to their terms of sale. Now I'm stuck with broken equipment.
