"This store has the best prices around. Fast shipping. They do have delays on items every once in a while due to their great prices and being slammed with orders. However their prices are among the best around, so it makes any delays worth it. Their email support has always been good to me. Fairly quick responses. Great experience. This is about my 20th order from them. I will be ordering more as well.
The only negative thing I can say about them is, their refunds take about a month. I have canceled two orders with them out of my 20 I have done, and it took nearly a month to get my card credited each time."

"Ordered (actually 2 orders to split payments) on 5/8. Initially there was some delay in processing once they were approved, but after some communications with Monarch was established they made sure stuff got shipped and to make up for the delay they upgraded the shipping to overnight, as the delay had been their issue. Stuff arrived just fine by Fedex Express today, 5/18. They even through in some Monarch *schwaggg* :-) I have purchased many thousands of dollars from them in the last 3 or 4 years and in the few cases where there were issues they have made good on it."

"First off, I ordered a CPU from them. This purchase went well, Ordered the 3rd, got it the 5th.
Next purchase ( A Gfx card) on the 7th, has NOT arrived, have not heard ANY response from the e-mail query and their online form, though the CC was charged.
Last e-mail I got was that it went to warehouse.
I didn't get a backorder alert, or ANY communication at all. This is highly annoying to say the least.
If the card was backordered, then I should have been notified. "Stock coming in daily" means what? What place am I in? How long should I wait? My CC should NOT have been charged yet either. It should only be charged when the item has shipped.
**Update, With the help of Chris, I received my card today (5/16/06). He is a pretty decent guy.
Monarch needs to update their web site to a real time inventory system. Lots of the problems you read about are do to the lack of a real time inventory system. You just never know if it is really in stock or not. A new layout wouldn't hurt either.
As for the lack of e-mail responses (Before Chris got into the picture), they need to fix this up pronto! They should have a cron script and if there is no response given to the e-mail in 1-2 days, then it should send the e-mail to someone higher on the food chain. I can't begin to tell you how annoying it is for e-mails to go unanswered.
So the score is 1 great experience, then 1 bad (until Chris fixed the problem, then it was good).
Will I buy from them again? Yes. I plan on giving them another shot in the future.

"I have been ordering computer hardware online for 15 years. I always look for the hardware at lowest prices. (Life got so much easier with Pricewatch) Some deals were "hit or miss" over the years. ( i.e. To get the best prices I had to deal with shady businesses like the ones that "might send you a RMA product, or might take a month just to ship to you, might get a different product than you ordered, or the WORST to have to be on the phone going through and waiting on a automated voice system to finally get ahold of a live operator that you can not communicate with because of a incredible language barrier only to still have a product problem unresolved)
Well over the last 6 years I have been using a company that didn't have the "best" prices. Their prices were "close" but not near the best, they did ship fast and were large enough I didn't have to worry about the "dissappearing business" trick. So, I used them, all products came in resonable time, out of 8 orders three were RMA. Customer services felt like "Hey we are busy, here is your RMA... good bye".
So time came for me to buy a new video card again.
This brings me to Monarch Computers, been watching them awhile. I had a friend that swore by them.
So I ordered the newest Top of the line Nvidia card out made by EVGA. They had EVERYONE beat on price by 25-45 dollars. (Yupp this made me nervous but hey I live dangerously) Well when I finished my online order I made ERROR on my part on the shipping. (Was going for 2 day shipping but clicked overnight) I figured I had to eat it, every company I have ever dealt with would of been like "your fault" not our problem.
So the next morning I called Monarch Computers Support. Two rings and I am speaking to a actual person. (Odd, caught me off gaurd)Told the gentleman my error, he said no problem it hasn't went out the door yet and he also told me the price had dropped another 15 dollars from last night when I ordered the card and they would honor the new price. (My jaw dropped)
48 hours later, I have a blistering video card, bought 40 bucks cheaper than ANYONE on Pricewatch had offered with a chester grin on my face.

"I purchased a XFX 7900GT Extreme PCI-E and Microsoft Media Center keyboard in mid-March. It's been nearly two months. The site stated the video card was in stock, so I made my order. They oversold it, and they haven't been able to restock since. I have patiently waited and waited but now I have asked for a refund. Let's hope the refund doesn't take another two months. UPDATE: 06/05/06 I haven't received my refund yet! :("
