"Made an order with 3-day shipping. Needed to have it by Thursday, April 6th. Didn't ship out until the 4th, so I gave them a call. They upgraded my order to 2 day shipping for free so that it will get here by Thursday."
"I purchased over $3,000 worth of computer parts since it takes them more than half month to complete my order as a combo system. So i received my order and some items weren't in stock so I did not have complete parts to build. Even though i managed to get some compatible parts and trying to put things together my system did not post. I called tech support and talked to a guy the said "I am sorry sir, but there's nothing i can do since you purchased the items without the warranty" I said: "well then why did i buy from you for if you don't give me tech support?"
things go on and on so i finally decided to ship it back to them and have them deal with it.
after 2 weeks...they found out that the motherboard and memory were bad.
Lets look at this: if these things are new, why are there 2 out of 8 parts are bad?
is this a scam from their store?
Even with the $3000+ i spend on them, they charged $90 for so many hours. now it's April 4. I still haven't received my system yet. I called and they keep transfer me to tech support where i have to wait 30+ minutes and still no one picks up.
I am very upset with this and hope any future purchasers to watch out and be careful for these guys...let them built the damn thing...if the parts are bad let them eat those parts...you don't have to worry about the headache. The reason why I chose to get parts and put them together myself were: 1 - I build lots and lots of computers for my Video Production Company. 2 - We need a system fast to work with new projects, we have deadlines.
At this point and time if $3000 for an uncomplete system is hell lot of money.
My advice is that be careful with these guys if you choose to buy parts from them.
I wonder when will they ship my system. it's been over a month now. THIS IS REDICULOUS!"
"I actually drove to their store as I live in Atlanta. The staff were helpful, there were many computers and cases on display in the store. They did not have the Asus motherboard that I initially wanted in stock so I bought the DFI LanParty nF4 UT Ultra-d which I am very happy with. I also bought an AMD Athlon X2 4400+. Given the ability to walk into the store and have the goods same day, I'd definitely do business with Monarch again. Highly recommended."
"Feb 14, Tuesday. Order vid card online. Website states 1-2 days processing for parts. Upgrade to overnight shipping. Expect it to go out by Thursday at latest, should get by weekend. Immediately that morning get confirmation email stating they got my order.
Wednesday, nothing (not that I was expecting anything, really)
Thursday, nothing.
Friday, nothing. Call service in a.m. Person tells me its shipping that morning, and I’ll get an email telling me so.
Friday night, nothing. Call service again. Person tells me its going out that evening and I’ll get an email telling me so. At which point, I cancel order- not only does monarchs website state 1-2 days processing, but I have a policy never to deal with retailers that blatenly lie (like telling me its going out that morning, and you’ll get an email)
Monarchcomputer insists on charging me a %15 restocking fee.
(restocking fee on something that hasn’t even shipped… you gotta love it)
So, to make a long story longer, I proceed to argue with the phone person for about 20 minutes regarding their failure to provide 1-2 day processing- and why I should be charged for it. SCAM, plain and simple. They should be refunding me %15 for the trouble they caused me. (I needed that card by the weekend) Bottom line- monarch offers service, I pay for service, they don’t provide- I want my money back. End of story.
Finally, he relents. Says they’ll refund my CC, but it will take FIVE WEEKS! They charge it in 20 minutes, but it takes FIVE WEEKS to refund (correct) my account.
So here we are at SEVEN weeks later, going on EIGHT weeks, and I STILL DON’T HAVE MY REFUND.
BTW- I ordered some parts from another REPUTABLE online retailer that same tuesday, did two day shipping, got them on Friday.

"Ordered a Coolermaster 810 stacker for $140, they had the best price around and they upgraded me to 2 day fedex for free with no addition cost over the $22 shipping charge on a 40lb package.
I called them to check on status because I lost the email. I was greeted by a very pleasant polite woman with a very nice voice and helped me out no problem. I have ordered many times from monarch over the last couple years and they seem to get better and better to the point now I would rate them over pretty much anyone.
Monarch right now with this transaction and my last 2 which were seperate cpu's I ordered 1 at a time have really shown me what i want to see from a online store, it has been simply perfection in every way for me personally.
Great pricing, they use fedex ! Expediancy, fast shipping out the door, great prices on shipping and if you have to call them you are greeted by very polite, cordial and just great people.

"Don't get me wrong, MonarchComputers is totally AWESOME when it comes to buying stuff. Really fast, low prices, etc., etc., but they really SUCK when it comes to returns!
- They process credits ONCE A WEEK, not every day.
- I had to wait nearly a MONTH before I got my refund back for a video card, and am now waiting for a SECOND refund, again waiting for nearly a month. I find it RIDICULOUS to have to wait for a MONTH for just a reply to the STATUS of my refund. Go to your local Best Buy or Fry's and a refund takes only a week."
"I have just recently (Tuesday, March 28) placed my first order for one of Monarch's "Custom Workstations". I specified and paid an extra $125 for "HOT RUSH" (the computer you order is supposed to ship in 5-8 business days) because I need the computer as soon as possible for work. There was an unexplained hold-up but representatives have been working diligently and generously on my belhalf to rectify the situation. I am very pleased that they have promised to credit the "Hot Rush" fee towards expedited shipping and are working to ship my computer by Friday (April 7). I appreciate their efforts and look forward to receiving my shiny new custom workstation very soon. It is nice to deal with a company that provides good customer service (and is willing to work through issues with a customer) without compromising quality.

I've just received my new custom "Furia" workstation. I am extremely pleased with the quality of service and product that Monarch has provided. I highly recommend purchasing from Monarch."

"Ordering on line was a breze with the order form layout.
I did incurr a problem that was instantly resolved and corrected. The part i ordered (XFX GeForce 7800 GS Overclocked 256MB), was, according to the website in stock.
After waiting a bit, i called and was informed they over sold the item, and i
was next. Yes!!! I actually talked to a real person in a matter of seconds. They upgraded my delivery to over-night at no charge. I can't
beleive real customer service actually exists ;). The person i talked with was super cool and sympathetic to my situation, (i am guild leader of a large guild in everquest, and had a important progression raid on friday, and *needed* the vid card i ordered). The product Arrived the very next morning as promised and was very well boxed and wraped, and the product Its self was better than i expected or hoped for.

A few minutes after I ordered, the price went DOWN and the ship status changed from "In stock" to "Usually ships between 4 - 6 days". Upon seeing this, I immediately cancelled the order.
