"I ordered a motherboard combo on the 30th of November and they did not ship until the 12th of December. They gave me no indication that my order would be delayed until I e-mailed them about it after their "2-3 days to ship" claim had passed. In the end, it ended up taking 8 business days to ship. I was a little disappointed that I couldn't build my system as soon as I planned since I ordered parts from three other stores, which all shipped the next day and arrived promptly. To make matters worst, when I received the motherboard combo, it came with a couple of bent pins. Fortunately, I was able to straighten them out and after putting together the system, I've had no stability problems at all. Still, they do have great pricing and the combo comes with a free Half-Life 2 coupon, among other things, so that somewhat compensates for a bit of delay."

"Ordered a system on 11/22. I e-mailed them on 12/13 to see whats up. Online status has been on stage 2 for over 2 weeks. Received reply the next day 12/14 stating the system would be built on 12/15 and would ship on 12/16,(what happened to the 48-72 hr. burn in?) baring any testing issues. Just checked online order status and guess what? System is still at stage 2. There is a week left till Christmas.(this is a present)
Just called them,was told the shipping date is 12/16. The person on the phone sounded perplexed why the system is still at stage 2. I asked him if I would receive by Christmas, he said " oh sure, we are working Sat. to catch up".
Getting worried, even if it is built by Mon. or Tues. what about shipping delays(weather etc.) This is cutting it way to close!"
"I purchased an Opteron 170 and a DFI motherboard from Monarch on Wed Nov 9. Come Friday, I had heard nothing about shipment. I paid for 2-day shipping in the hopes I would get it for the weekend, but that wasn't a huge deal. Called Friday the 11th, it turns out the DFI motherboard was on backorder and they were expecting a shipment that day (Friday the 11th).
Later that day, the shipment does not arrive. Now they think it will arrive Monday the 14th. Come Monday, the shipment is not there. They agree to refund me for the motherboard and overnight the CPU. The CPU does not ship until Wednesday the 16th. I receive it on the Thursday the 17th, with my DFI motherboard from another store with free 2-day shipping.
Two weeks after this, I called about my refund. They reminded me it takes up to 3 weeks, but said they would ensure it was processed. Two more weeks pass, still no refund (It is now beginning of Dec.)
Now we come to the week of Dec. 12; MORE THAN ONE MONTH AFTER THE PURCHASE. I call and they don't know why the refund wasn't processed. On Wednesday the 14th I am assured the refund will show up by Thursday. Thursday it is not there. I am told it was processed Thursday and will not show up until later that evening. It FINALLY shows up this morning, Friday the 16th. To recap, my original order was placed on Wed. Nov 7th. 5 WEEKS AFTER MY ORIGINAL ORDER, I FINALLY GET A REFUND.
They do not update their inventory in real-time. If an item is out of stock or backordered, the only way to know for sure is to call. This is NOT the way to run a business.
They also took an extra two days to ship my CPU from when agreed upon, which is ridiculous.
Every single person I spoke to was very helpful and polite. The staff is great, but somewhere in there the chain falls apart and causes their business operation to suffer.
I will never purchase from Monarch again unless there is a really cheap price; if I were to purchase again, I would call before hand AND be sure not to need it soon. Paying the $20-$30 more at other more reliable websites is worth it in this case, as Monarch is unreliable at best."

I ordered twice from Monarch Computer Systems within a month. I ordered 2 identical video cards. I was buying the dual slot version of the Leadtek PX6800GT.
The 1st order, they sent me a defective card and it was the wrong verson. They sent me a single slot instead of the dual slot. Even though it was their fault for sending me a unit that was defective and wrong, they made me pay for return postage. The eventually sent me a replacement that was correct, however, they sent it via slow shipping so I was without a video card for over ten days.
The 2nd order, giving them the benefit of a doubt by assuming the first screw-up was a fluke, I wanted to order another card to pair it with the first in- SLI. I called to make sure that they have the DUAL SLOT version and to make sure it worked so I wouldn't received another DOA card. They sent me a dual-slot card, so far so good. BUT it was a dead card. TAKE NOTE: This is the second time I had to mail a card in and again they made me pay even though it was their fault for sending me a DOA card. So I shipped it back and waited....they send me a replacement. It worked, BUT they sent me a single slot version again which I have too this day and which overheats often due the single slot cooler version they sent me when I EXPRESSLY asked for the DUAL-SLOT VERSION ONLY. Subsequent Emails to this vendor were ignored.

"I have yet to recieve my system but they have processed the order faster than any other place I have ordered from recently. Though my computer is still being assembled, I feel confident that they will do a good job. I have heard many good things about this company & they respond quickly & politely to my e-mails. I was told my computer would be shipped out today & guarenteed I would recieve it this week, but two days ago I recieved an email saying that they "have encountered an issue with my configuration." I'm getting worried that I will not recieve this for the holidays. I already paid for two day shipping. I wish they what actually went wrong with it, just to rest my curiosity & anxiousness. I'll update later when I finally recieve it.
