"Ordered a complete Monarch Furia Desktop System after business hours on 11-29-05. I received an email concerning shipping address. Once that was straightened out, I replied to that email. Within the hour a very nice lady called me at home to tell me that all was well. Actually she talked to my wife as I am hard of hearing. That act speaks volumes. Now, do I expect to receive my order in a timely manner? Depends...'tis the season. I'm not a child and don't have to have everything I want right now. However I am a computer tech idiot, so I do hope to receive everything in working order. My first impressions of Monarch are very favorable. I'll let you know how the computer works when the time comes. If you don't hear from me by Christmas, enjoy the holiday and more importantly your family and friends."

"It takes over a month for them to process a cancelled order (as of 36 days it hasn't gone though). Completely unacceptable. Admittidly the only other online store I have cancelled from is Amazon.com, and they don't charge you until it ships (and you can't cancel at that point anyway).

If I have to nitpick, there is a rebate for this video card, and it needs an invoice, but the package dont' ship with it. The final/last page of the order is the invoice, so if you don't save it for your rebate, you're in trouble. Luckily I saved mine.
But overall, transaction go thru smoothly."
"Ordered a Motherboard combo, AMD processor, OCZ Ram, Motherboard on Nov. 29th and it is now the 8th day after the order and the website shows order status as "submitted to the warehouse". After several e-mails the response that I got was they were so busy that the orders were being filled on a first come, first served basis! I guess nevermind what the website says about the 1-3 days. Then I was told on Dec. 5th "We had a slight problem with the OCZ ram, but this has been corrected. If everything goes right in testing, the combo will make it out the door
this evening."
After 3 more e-mails I received two conflicting responses just today. "I apologize for the delays, your memory was backordered from OCZ. We are scheduled to receive a shipment of that memory in today, and if it arrives your combo should be able to ship out today" A few minutes later I received this e-mail from Chris@Monarch "We apologize Mr. S----. Due to recent heavy demand the COMBO department is really backed up. I will try to expedite your COMBO."
OK, so which is it? I am going to cancel my order.
Update: 12/9/05 After requesting my order be cancelled they quickly hussled my order out the door. Although I paid for two day shipping ship date 12/8/05 Fedex notes that arrival date will be 12/12/05. Don't understand that one.
I also recieved a call from "Sterling" who has a tough job working for such a dysfunctional operation. He sincerely wanted to make it right and was gracious to my son whose birthday present was missed. As upset as I was, "Sterling" tried to make it right and is worth his weight in gold to Monarch. If Monarch loses Mr. "Sterling", Monarch is finished.

"I bought an AMD64 chip-in-a-box from Monarch. I originally was planning on buying elsewhere as I could get the same product at the same price with free shipping (Monarch charged me $5.90 for FedEx Ground). I went with Monarch because there was a free game download code given with any AMD64 chip purchase. It appears that the wording was somewhat confusing, and you had to buy a bundle in conjunction with the chip in order to get the free game (which you found out when clicking on some links from the advertisement). I was a bit disappointed that I did not get the game too. A follow-up e-mail message was sent to me asking if I was completely satisfied. I told them my situation, and they were happy (and punctual) in resolving the problem. I am satisfied with the service that Monarch provided in resolving my issue."
