Bottom Line Monarch is a reputable company just make sure they have items in stock before ordering. And Expect to wait 30+ days on credit. Other then that they are great.. "
"On 11/15/05, I ordered an Opteron 165 (OEM) from these guys. I was well aware of the fact that it was on backorder until 11/28, but being that the item was in high demand, I decided to get my name on one. Order was placed around 9:30pm. 4:45am rolls around and I have an email from them confirming my shipping address (made a typo and my card provider questioned it), sent them an email back around 8am, and it shipped on the 16th. Yes, shipped - the item came back in stock that day. Right now my Opteron is at the local shipper's facility, and will be delivered 11/21 - all according to plan. Overall, very please - got my CPU two weeks before I expected it!"

Company is extremely responsive and helpful. Had a problem with an item that arrived scratched, and left an email for them on the weekend. I got a call back on the weekend and spoke with Sterling. He handled the situation and by Monday afternoon had a replacement part shipped, 2-day. Now that is what I call service!!!
Initial Review:
Originally I had a bumpy but ultimately surprisingly fantastic experience with this company. I ordered some products, which their website said was in-stock, and then received an email that one of the items was NOT in stock as advertised. Since I needed the part asap, I cancelled the order from Monarch and ordered from another vendor.
That night, I got a call from Sterling at Monarch computers, and he told me there had been a mistake, that they indeed did have the item in stock, and would I like them to keep the order--meanwhile bumping my shipping from 2-day to overnight?
I was shocked to get such personal service from this company. No company or system is perfect, and he explained that there had been some glitch in their software or stocking process.
So, I am very pleasantly surprised and pleased with the outcome. Would definitely do business with them again.
PS, Sterling called me at 6:40 pm my time (CA), which meant he was calling at 9:40 pm his time. Impressive!"

I received an e-mail by upper managment, Sterling, whom left me his personal number -- I called and was nothing short of amazed by his comments and intent to please customers for the long haul. This type of personal attention to service is unheard of in online retail these days with all the shoddy companies out there. Sure, Newegg has shipping down to a science, but are they going to personally contact you and fix things in real time if there is a problem?? I don't think so. "Purchased a mobo/cpu combo from them with the "pretested" configuration which I could not find anywhere else. I alwas had the concern that I would order something online that will not work and have to send it back.
They shipped out my order within the estimated time of 1-2 days for the tested combos so that was cool.
I also unfortunately had an opportunity to test out their support. The price of my CPU dropped within a day of my order and I wanted to cancel or have them fix it. This is probably their major flaw as they don't have an option within their website to monitor your orders and choose to change your orders (I wanted to upgrade my motherboard to a better one after I clicked submit and read a little more about it but couldnt!) I decided to live with it but when I saw the price of my CPU drop I contacted them via email. (Their communication options are limited as well, but email support is nice). I sent it after their business hours so I recieved a reply the next morning when they opened. They didn't want to price match the prices, however Joe at monarch computers was kind enough to accept my proposition of some store credit for the price match.
So in all I would buy from monarch again... free shipping options or more discounts would make it much more appealing though. Their support is nice and fast, although mostly limited to email. Their shipping times are quite reasonable considering the factor of pre-testing. "

"Ordered a evga geforce 6600 GT from monarch. They shipped out the order the very next day and I received my order in 2 days. Monarch uses Fedex express saver. The shipment did not have the invoice for sending the rebate. I mailed monarch regarding and received a reply with the invoice within 24 hrs. I used to shop at Newegg before but monarch has become my new number one online computer purchase stop. One thing lacking, is the website design. The site is difficult to navigate and search. Hope they fix this soon."
"I placed an order on Saturday evening, Oct 29th, for some OCZ memory, a 2 gig dual channel kit. It was shown as in stock and said "Usually ships in 1 to 2 days". I received an email Sunday that my order had been successfully charged to my credit card. I then waited for a shipping confirmation e-mail. Monday afternoon the memory showed up on their site as being out of stock, so I requested an order status by email. Late Tuesday , Nov 1st, I receive an answer that the memory had been "oversold" and ETA was Nov 25th.
They apologized, but blamed OCZ saying that there was a "manufacturing error" on the chips used to make this particular memory.
The fact remains that they charged me for memory that they did not have in stock in their warehouse, but showed as in stock on their web site when I ordered it!!
Blaming OCZ for this is highly unprofessional in my opinion. I contacted OCZ and they said that Monarch just made up the manufacturing error problem.
Several emails later, Monarch also accused OCZ of continually changing the ETA's.
The final straw was when my last request for status was answered by Monarch with an ETA and asking if I wanted to cancel the order. I replied back no that I would wait, and my reply email was answered back from Monarch again on the same day with a different ETA 5 days later than the first ETA!
Two different ETA's in 2 hours and they asked me again if I wanted to cancel.
At that point I had had enough and responded that I did want to cancel the order.
Monarch has lost a good customer.
Edit: After I posted this review, I was contacted by a certain Monarch representative offering a discount. I called him and the first thing he said was, "Oh, this is about the stupid OCZ EB memory (referring to the particular memory I had ordered). You don't know how much trouble that has caused me."
Unbelievable! He did later say he was very sorry for the trouble I went through. I didn't make use of the discount.
Listen up Monarch!
My problem isn't with OCZ, it is with the stock status of items on your site. Don't charge people for items that you don't have in stock!
Edit 2: Now Monarch is calling me a liar!!
