"The plug on the oil drain pan on my daughter's 2006 Dodge Magnum had developed problems. Other shops had tried to install over-sized plugs which resulted in unreliable situation. When I brought that vehicle to Monroe Muffler for routine oil change on a Sunday, the technician could not put the plug back in agian which will guaranteedly remain tight. We discussed different options. I went home thinking the only reliable option was to find a replacement Drain Pan. The work hour manual showed that it would take 6 Hours of technician time to take the old one out and replace with new one. Apart from the labor cost, there was a question how long it would take to get the replacement pan. I went home that night worrying about how much is it going to cost by the time the problem was solved.

My daughter had to go to Boston that night. So she took my car and got a rented car for me. Thinking that it might be some time before the problem will be solved, we rented the vehicle for a whole week.

Next morning I called Ray from the Monroe Muffler shop and he gave me the most pleasant surprise by telling that the problem was all solved without having to get a replacement pan. He just bored the hole about a milli meter larger and then re-threaded the hole using a good quality tap. He then installed a standard size plug. The whole operation costed me less than $175. I got the car back on Monday by 12 Noon which allowed me to return the rented vehicle in less than 24 hours.

Some times you get the direct evidence of "Life is Good !" Honesty , creativity and expertise is not a vanishing creed !

"I went in for an oil change and tire rotation upon arrival was told it was going to be 69$ For my 2015 sonata sport turbo I advised the worker James that the dealership in which I bought my car from changes the oil and rotates the tires for 64$ ( hernstein Hyundai of chillicothe) , James said that wasn't an issue that they could match the dealerships price. A few moments later after my car was on the rack and draining James came out and said my tires didn't need rotated that the proper ones were already on the front and he would recommend " leaving them until next time" so i called the dealership to see how much it was for just an oil change they advised me 32.95 and though james agreed to match the dealerships price James said 64$ was the lowest he could go. So essentially I paid for services I never received and was lied to I will never go back to this place nor will anyone else I speak to. "
