"I'm going on a trip in a couple of days, and wanted more compact flash (transcend 8gb 133x) for my DSLR.
I started to order via their web page but was not certain when the order would be filled. So, I called their 800 number, the phone was answered in *seconds* by a *real* person.
I told him my situation, and he had me place the order over the phone. I placed the order on Tuesday, with 2-day fed ex shipping, and received the package right on time on Thursday (today).
So far the compact flash is working fine - and cost only $69 + $10 shipping.

"firstly i am not one to normally complain, but these guys seriously need to work on their communication skills. I placed an order nearly a week ago. I recieved an order receipt. I checked my account which said it couldn't find any orders. I assumed this may just take some time so waited. 3 days later still no order registered on my account. I sent an email to customer service - waited 24hrs but received no response. I sent an email to support and have now waited another 24hrs with still no response. It will be a week tomorrow since I placed my order and still i have no idea what is going on. So far NOT GOOD.
CONTINUED 24/10 - still have no idea what is going on with my order!! After sending several emails i finally got one back from Douglas Hare (on the 20th) apologising for the delay and asking for a copy of my order receipt which i forwarded immediately. Here we are at the 24th and still no follow up. These guys are hopeless - Mr Dawson I note in the past you have been very defensive over any criticism of your business practice - care to explain what is going on here?
ADDED 30/10 - after numerous emails and nearly two and a half weeks i finally got this resolved. In the end i had to place my order again - once i did, I received my order in 4 days which was impressive (If that had occurred from the start I would have had a very positive impression of this company). By way of apology mydigitaldiscount paid for the postage (to Japan!). All in all it has to be said that this compnay is cheap and when everything works is probably OK. They are let down by their lack of communication when there ARE problems. Would I deal with them again? maybe but not if I was on a deadline for receiving a product.
ADDED - Matt the only reason I even put a review on here was out of deperation to get a reply from your company. Regardless of the lack of an order showing not showing up, communication was still an issue. I have altered my rating but i would be lying if I changed it further. This company does not stand behind their inexpensive NP-E3 batteries for Canon cameras. I've had one replaced, out of five, due to the extremely short "warranty" period. But there have been sooooo many cases of the batteries failing that they should simply replace them."

"mydigitaldiscount.com sells Canon-type NP-E3 batteries at good prices. I recently bought two of them. Both were defective. They didn't make proper contact with the camera.
mydigitaldiscount.com received the batteries a few days ago but only gave me a partial refund...about 75%. They apparently charged a "restocking fee."
A restocking fee? For batteries that should not be resold because they don't work? Do they intend to resell them to an unsuspecting buyer, have them returned again, and then make another 25% on the same batteries?
If you're going to do business with mydigitaldiscount.com, be forewarned.
ADDED 10/8/07: I have emailed www.mydigitaldiscount.com repeatedly for an explanation as to why I didn't receive a full refund for the defective batteries. I have yet to hear from them. This is neither good service nor good business.
ADDED 10/17/07: Finally heard back from MyDigitalDiscount.com. As I suspected, they have charged me a "re-stocking fee" on the return of two defective batteries, which suggests they intend to resell them. Resell two defective batteries? Amazing."
"I had ordered an 8GB SDHC memory card to be shipped using ground (cheapest), a few days had passed so I contacted the seller through email, within 24hrs I had received a replay and was informed that there was a stock issue problem and that my order would ship the following Monday. Monday came and went, and no shipping notice, so I decided to give it a bit of time, on Thursday of the same week, I receieved an email stating that my item had shipped and it had shipped using Fed Ex next day International Priority.
