"Good shopping experience as usual, with one caveat: unfortunately, price match did not seem to work properly so I ended up paying more than I should have for one of my item. I am not sure what was going on: when I chose price match and entered all the required info, the item just vanished from my shopping cart, with no explanation."

"I have purchased thousands of dollars of items from NCIX over the years and have never had a problem with any product being wrong, and only one that needed to go back for an exchange (DOA), which wasn't their fault but they took care of it immediately. It never ceases to amaze me how fast they can get a product shipped out and into my hands."

"I chose the PC assembly option to get NCIX to assemble my PC and they did a very good job. I received all the boxes of the parts I chose and the cable management was excellent. I only had two problems likely due to the shipping even though there was tons of packaging. The hard drive bay was crooked and a screw on the CPU cooler was very loose but these problems were both easy to fix. The customer service was also very good. NCIX would respond to me quickly when I had any questions and if I needed to edit my order they were able to help. Overall I rate my experience with NCIX as 9.5/10. I highly recommend NCIX's PC assembly option for anyone looking for a custom built PC! "

"The product (HDD) arrived in timely manner, in good working condition - well packed. Overall: smooth experience. one thing I wish was different is the ordering process itself. If you are familiar with Amazon's one-click checkout - well, this one is just very opposite. very cumbersome and lengthy process, and if it was not for the very good price, I'd have abandoned it half way through(I was a new customer and never ordered from them before). Once you are past the ordering process - it is smooth sail."

"A year or so ago I had a bad experience with NewEgg and was extremely frustrated at the time. I contacted NCIX while trying to sort out my NewEgg order and NCIX seriously blew my hat off. They had my order processed and shipped only an hour or so later and my order arrived the next morning a mere 7 hours after I initially placed my order with NCIX (I live halfway across the country!). Since then I have always gone with NCIX for my computer component needs, both for myself as an individual as well as my company needs and NCIX has blown me away with their service."

"I believe my time with NCIX.com was quiet amazing. Every time I called to answer some questions or any requests they handled it pretty quick and accurately. They also seemed to have all the information available once they get the order #.
My order did take a bit longer to process (I bought a custom PC) but what surprised me was that they upgraded my shipping method to Express shipping! Thats the difference between me getting it in 5-8 business days to 1-2 business days!
The price I got my PC was a steal, I find it was great experience overall and the site provides lots of information to you.
Great place to buy and will come back again.

"About 6 years ago I put in a large order with NCIX and it was completely botched, but I thought what the heck after 6 years their process must have stabilized but boy was I wrong- what I am going through this time is several magnitudes worse than what happened before. It all started when I decided to include the PC assembly option in my order. After 2 weeks I got tired of waiting so I called them and they told me explicitly that my entire order was just sitting in a warehouse in Ontario waiting to be assembled but they couldn't tell me if it would be a day, a week, or a month before it shipped so I just said to take the assembly off the order and ship it. This is where it all went to hell.

3 hours later I check my order tracking on NCIX and it's completely gone without a trace- and I hadn't received any emails- so I call again to ask what's up. They tell me it has to be shipped from two locations so one will be shipped that day (April 19th) and one will be shipped Monday (April 22nd).

Then, an hour after that, I get an email which makes it look like the case and monitor aren't even in the same location as the rest of the PC parts yet after two weeks, contradicting the story of the first guy I talked to (how would it be in queue for assembly without the case?). In addition, the mouse is on backorder- neither of them even mentioned that- so I didn't know until I got the email.

I posted about this on the NCIX forum hoping someone could explain (which I will link at the end of this) and a sales rep responded and we had the mouse on the order changed to one that was in stock. He also explained what was going on with the order which was great and I thought everything was sorted out.

By Monday I had 4 tracking numbers, 3 from Ontario, and 1 from BC- which didn't make any sense since he made it explicitly clear several times in the thread that the entire order was being shipped out of two different warehouses in Ontario. I decided not to inquire about it at the time thinking it was probably one random item or something.

Yesterday and today I received 3/4 of the shipments, but it turns out it was only the monitor, keyboard, and mouse- meaning 12/15 items of my $2600 order were still unaccounted for. I figured even though 3 reps told me that everything was coming from Ontario that the rest of my items must be coming in the BC shipment so I decided to call to confirm. After arguing with me for 15 minutes trying to explain that either I must have already received my entire order or it was still out for delivery even though I said repeatedly that I signed for 3 shipments she finally admitted that the last 12 items of my order were still to come and were indeed in the BC shipment.

This seems to invalidate most of the explanations the rep gave in the thread and after emailing him about it he said he made it clear that it was just the mouse, monitor, and keyboard coming from Ontario but I really don't think it was clear at all. I still don't understand how after 2 weeks waiting for assembly the case was still half way across the country from the other parts.

And to add insult to injury I didn't get a refund for my assembly (I chose a more expensive mouse to replace the back ordered one, so they owe me $36 rather than $50) because I used electronic bill payment and the amount is less than $100- I would have to order from them again and contact the rep again to intercept my order and apply it because their website doesn't handle it.

So now I wait and hope that I actually get my main order which will probably be nearly 4 weeks after I had ordered it- if I had not cancelled the assembly it would have been even longer though.

As for the positives, they have price matching which is nice- even though they usually have the lowest prices around anyway- and a helpful community. I think after my experiences with them though I would be more than willing to pay the difference with a competitor.

"I buy a lot of electronics as part of a computer repair business I run in my spare time and for my personal consumption. Previously when I was in Calgary I always shopped at memory express because of their price match policy but their location in BC is very inconvenient so I thought I would give NCIX a try.

I ordered an item from them, I got it in record time, from the order to my door was 2 days. Unfortunately purolater broke the item in shipping. NCIX handled the issue extremely quickly and resolved the situation.

I was extremely impressed by their customer service, some of the best I have received from any company. Based on that, as well as their locations I will now be conducting almost all of my business through them.

"I placed an ordered for Gigabyte Radeon 7950, but I noticed that it was on backorder the day after. I called their toll-free number and explained my situation to the representative who issued a refund for my order immediately. Then I placed another order for Powercooler Radeon 7950 Boost Edition; the order was processed the same day and shipped the next morning. Finally, I contacted customer care for the invoice for my refund and to ask how I would receive the code for AMD's Never Settle Reloaded promotion. They responded within a few hours to both my inquiries. Overall, NCIX has one of the best customer support I have seen so far. I definitely recommend NCIX as the go-to store for your computer needs. "

"Very disappointed. I order a lot of parts from Ncix, I run a small computer company and do a lot of builds and repairs.

Recently for a new build for a customer I went with an AMD Bulldozer 8-core processor from ncix. The first one I received the system was hanging at odd times and after running tests I realized that some cores would randomly stop working. I RMA'd the part, and after a couple weeks, NCIX confirmed that my tests were true and there was issues with the processor. They sent me another processor, which I tried and found to have the exact same problem.

I sent this one back, indicating I wanted a refund, and purchased a Phenom II quad core instead for this build, which works perfectly btw.

After a week or so, one of the tech specialists, emails me, saying that the processor I RMA'd has bent pins and that they cannot accept this to be returned... I indicated that if the pins were bent while I was using it, it wouldn't have even fit into the slot properly, which it did, it also would likely have not even booted. I had the exact same model of processor with the exact same issue, and now when I ask for a refund, they are attempting to say it is due to physical dmg...

NCIX has since agreed to accept the processor for refund, so I am adjusting the review accordingly.
