On the call they wanted to assure me that it was an honest mistake on the website and that they would change their website to show it out of stock. I looked almost 24 hours since they called me and it still says "Usually Ships In 1-2 Business Days".

From my experience this appears to be a "bait and switch".

I was skeptical to begin with after reading reseller reviews but thought I would give them a chance. I ordered at night and the next morning they called and said the Canon CG-800 charger is on back order even though I looked again on their website and it says "Stock: Usually Ships In 1-2 Business Days".

They said that they had another charger to sell me for the same price but it wasn't a Canon. I declined and asked for a refund to my Paypal account.

Off to Newegg.com to purchase it for a few dollars more.

They offer a Sony flash at a good price, and then after ordering, I'm notified that it is unavailable, but they can give me a "great" price on a Vivitar flash, even stating that it is "better" than the Sony. Well, after receiving it, not only does it NOT do what the salesman claimed, but I paid twice as much for it than anyone else has it on line. After complaining, they send me a rechargable battery set. Wow, that really made up for everything. "This note is a report of extraordinarily fine customer service that NWV Direct provided for me recently. I ordered from NWV two aftermarket batteries for a Panasonic ZS1 digital camera. The batteries, which arrived in a few days, were well-known standard-brand replacement units sold also in reputable brick-and-mortar stores.

Unfortunately, Panasonic has reprogrammed the firmware upgrade for that camera so that the firmware does not support third-party batteries. I e-mailed NWV to explain the problem, and without my having asked for any remedy, the company immediately told me to return the batteries for a refund.

I next explained that I might have to keep the units because I had discarded the original packaging, and if I did return the product, then NWV would receive batteries of unverifiable origin. Again, their reply was immediate; the rep said that it would be foolish for me to keep batteries that I could not use and that all I had to do was put them into a bubble wrap and send them to NWV for the refund.
