"I ordered an overclocked GeForce4 Ti4200 from them around July 15. They said it shipped by USPS around Aug 15!! I understand that being in the military, shipping stuff overseas takes a little bit longer, but waiting a month just for it to ship? Garbage.
Second thing I encountered was the card itself. It does work great like advertised, however the card itself was not the one that was reviewed by all of the OC websites. The one that was reviewed was an OC'd Triplex Millenium Ed. with the platinum PCB, the same pic was on the website. The one that arrived was an Abit Siluro with Blue PCB. Minor problem, but I was going with the all platinum PCB theme =P. I would just wish that they would ship the same card that was reviewed by all the websites.
All together I would have to say that I will probably not order from them again. Just due to the fact that waiting for the product to ship for a month was grueling. Even NewEgg gets the product here within 7 days of me ordering it. I couldn't imagine if I had to ship the card back due to it being DoA. In short, look someplace else for what you need."
"HAHAH this is hilarious actually. I just got an email from them with an RMA authorization to return the bad RAM stick. Good thing I keep all receipts organized, since they need a copy of it. Of course, judging from how they've handled this, I really don't expect them to do very good on the RMA. I requested an RMA for a defective RAM stick back in August, they late last night -April 17-. This is also after quite a few months since I filed a complaint to the BBB about them. I'll see how the RMA goes, but buyers BEWARE.
Uh oh..
So after about 3 weeks of normal operation, one of the RAM sticks I ordered from them failed. It's been a week since I emailed them about the problem and absolutely no sort of reply.
Seems everything they say about them is true. They may have low prices, but those are not worth their absolute lack of customer service."
"Sigh... Why oh why do companies such as OCsystem stay in business? Avg turn around time for charging your account: 24Hours. Avg turn around time for shipping: 1 month. I've ordered several things from this company in order to do a review of pc resellers, and from all of the things I've ordered, I've not recieved one response email, one answered call, one returned call, or one answer. Twice I've recieved the wrong product, one of these was actually mislabeled and non functional ram. I have dealt with bad companies as a reviewer before, but this one takes the cake. OCsystem is owned by encore inovations, who also now owns Geil memory. If you have any want to have a quick painless purchase and such, do not order from these people, they have no care to help you or to answer your questions. Good luck and stay away if you actually want your product and a company you can contact."
"Extrememly Wonderful Company to do buisness with, very low prices, and product is better than expected. I Ordered one of their DIY systems. The product came exactly as expected. They even included the retail boxes for the motherboard, and CPU(unexpected pleasant surprise). The system is faster than even advertised. I can reach 2.6Ghz with the supposed 2.4 O/Ced system. I rate them 5 stars, have placed another order with them since, and my roomate ordered from them and has had equally excellent products and service. I don't think these ratings are always accurate because usually people look for this kind of place only when they've been abused, the people who are happy with a company's service don't usually take the time to respond. I happened to see OCSystem here and was horrified at their low review, when I thought so much of them, So I thought I would throw in my praise!"
"I have not actually recieved the items yet but I have recieved a tracking number and it says it will be delivered tomorrow. So far this order has been pain free. I was able to easilly get my tracking number on their website and have had no problems. These guys seem to have a low rating but they'll be getting a good one from me."
"I bought some 400DDR from these guys and tried to use it on an ASUS A7V333 and it would not work at the recomended setting of the maufacture. Charlie a service tech told me to send it back for a replacement. I wanted to order something else than the 400DDR, so they told me to return it under RMA# R9766 and they will refund my money in 14 days so I can order something else from them. I do so and I still to this day have to revieved any refund yet. I have called them 5 times and they tell me that they are going to do it and still it has never been done. I have since bought from PC Progress and they are very good. OCSystems sucks! Do not buy anything from them unless you want to get robbed!!! Most od the time you can never get anyone on the phone, unless you call to order something, I mean get robbed!"
"Radeon 8500, 512 DDR 333, Rounded IDE Cables. All declared in stock, order never shipped after 9 days, after calling it was determined that the memory was out of stock, I cacelled my order, took two weeks to get my money back. Horrible company, never ever buy from these guys."
"Purchased a Triplex GF4-TI4200 128MB video card (cool, silver, matches my motherboard). I was concenred about their rating, but they are the only vendor of this product I could find. I messed up and pressed the wrong button on their confusing order page (ordered the 64Mb not the 128MB). E-mailing customer service fixed the problem just fine, in a very quick and timely fashion. Card arrived when it was supposed to. UPS only shipping policy may be an issue for some, I have problems with reliable UPS Delvery in my area."
"These guys are crazy. Their prices seem to be based randomly on sine curves.. up one minute down the next, up again, down again. With a trend heading in the upwards direction. I bought a stick of RAM from them before finding out about this site and then figured I was screwed until I came up with a pretty slick way of getting my money back. I can't disclose it here because then I won't be able use it again but think about it.. what are these people after? money so how can you use this fact to get your money back? I figured it out and if you think about it long enough I'm sure you will too. Don't buy from these guys.. ever.."
"The whole process of purchasing and shipping was not that long. I am happy with my purchase and would go here again."
"I ordered There most expensive memory and they sent me a cheap memory, ordered arctic silver, they sent me thermal grease. Sent both products back with RMA and they gave me the wrong shipping address, Now its being returned to me. I ordered next day air, they sent it second day air and charged me for next day air. Still working out problems, but the price is extremly good, but not worth the hassle."
"Save yourself the time to seekout another seller. These people have no ideal of what they are doing. They overclocked my cpu/motherboard/memory so high that my system would not startup. After emails/phone calls to them the could not explain why all the trouble I was having and was told to mail all products back at my cost. I found all the problems on my own. Memory was overclocked so high that board would not post, only beep.Cpu vcore volts set to high, and they claim to burn in for 48 hours. How could you burn in when everything is set to high.Tech support, what a joke. My money will go to another company that has a very good rating. Not oc system."
"Horrible experience. DO NOT buy from these guys! Buy if you like pushed ship dates and BS excuses. It's anyone's guess as to when I'll recieve a replacement for my defective PC2700 DIMM with their continually pushed ship dates. They recieved my bad DIMM on June 22. I was told it would ship by the second week of july. OK I thought. NO DIMM by then. SO I called back and they said they were actually out of stock! They said it should ship friday june 19th or at the latest the 22nd. I call today to make sure they send it out and the guy says, "I cannot gaurantee that it will ship out"!!! They have some in stock but there are other customers waiting on this RAM he said. He said they were on back order and I cannot exchange the DIMM either. Very Bad Customer (dis)Service once they have your money! By the time they do send the DIMM, my computer will be obsolete! I am dreading the idea of the replacement DIMM being bad as well and I will have to go through this phone tag BS all over again just to hear more pushed ship dates. Alas I am here reporting this nonsense. I wish I saw this site first so that may have shopped elsewhere. I am also going to report this grievance with California's BBB."
"Poor service! Ordered on the 8th. Their website said all orderes ship in 3 days! Sent e-mail on the 11th inquiring if order shipped yet. They replied that they were still backed up from the 4th of July holiday and the order would ship on the 12th or 15th at the latest. Sent several e-mails (1 each day) between the 14th and the 18th all with no reply. Tried calling and they never answered phone. Finally got an e-mail from UPS that it shipped on the 18th!
Very disappointed at the level of "service" from this company!"
"Ordered night of 7/3/02.
Vendor was closed until 7/8/02.
Order shipped 7/11/02 and was received 7/18/02.
Everything was shipped together and it all works."
