"Ordered a couple of memory chips. A week later I called because I saw my credit card billed 4 days previous. I called and asked what was going on. I was told my stuf was about to ship. What does that mean? So maybe 4 days after paying my stuff may ship? What's that all about. Just beware - terrible customer service. Looks like they turn stuff over real slow also. Don't think I'll order from them again!"
"Well, I must admit I was a tad bit frightened by ordering from these people after reading some horror stories. But since I can't find the super cool Radeon 9700 video card cooling kit (http://www.ocsystem.com/ocati90vidca.html) anywere else I decided it was worth my $24 ($17+$7 UPS ground shipping) to give them a try. Lo and behold I get a e-mail the next day saying it would ship. Damn UPS deemed it necessary to take 6 days to get my package from California to Oregon. Anyways, I got the heatsink with reasonable packaging (no instructions though, I guess it was pretty straight forword but I bet there are some people who will need them) which is nice after reading some of the crap people were getting. After a hour of removing the stupid stock heatsink and the thermal wax I applied some artic silver and carefully put the 2 piece (yeah, on the site they said three, must of been a typo) heatsink together. After a short prayer I turn it on. No smoke. Bling bling. Well, it works. I didn't get screwed. I got what I bought. I'm definitely a happy customer. The only things I find wrong with them are: 1. They don't respond to e-mails if they don't have your invoice in the header, screwing anyone who has a question about a product of theirs. 2. They seem to only give tech support over the phone. 3. Their shipping is a little expensive. My heatsink weighed less than a pound and $7 gets it UPS ground shipping (I hate UPS). Oh well, hope this review helps someone."
"Conducted sell on website for a Willcall pickup. When I arrived, they wanted to take a photocopy of my drivers license which is against the law. Technical support is a bit lacking. Otherwise it went well. I got what I wanted, but then I only ordered some graphic card coolers and memory coolers. I have heard of others ordering 9700 pro cards and getting overclocked 9700 NON pro cards. So I purchased my Pro card somewhere else instead of risking it through them. "
"Alright Im posting this for a friend of mine that purchased from them.
He bought a complete system from them (before I met him). Anyways for the people that don't feel like reading all of this to sum things up: For the love of everything that is holy do not for even a second look/buy from this site, don’t even waste browsing time with these people.
Now on to what happened. He came to me wanting a system built after he gave up on returning the one from ocsystem. I thought I would see what was wrong with his before I made him pay for another. To my horror the ram they claimed was 1gb pc3500 geil ram, was actually two sticks of pc2100 128mb no name brand. The video card which was supposed to be a "enhanced" 9800 was simply a oced 9500 (a poorly oced 9500 I might add). The ps was obviously old and had been used by someone else it was filled with dust and hair (his system wouldn’t even start so he couldn’t have a dirty ps). The ps when tested was dead he claims it never started out of the box. The keyboard and mouse looked used to me but could have been the fault of the customer. He opted for two serial ata 160gigs. What he got was two 80gig parallel (ide) drives. The case was scratched up (can't verify I don't know what it looked like when he received it.). His horror stories continue. I tried straightening things out with them but conveniently they no longer answer their emails (I did get one) and they don’t pick up their phones. The one I did get back claimed there was no such invoice number issued so i faxed them the invoice that had their name on it and attached a note saying "You had better get back to me soon".
So following ocsystems trend they decide to never try to resolve it and simply disappear.
Another customer bought ram from them and let me tell you its not a good idea. Any of the ram that says oc anywhere in there is most likely oced lower end crappy ram. This time I got someone on the phone (1 out of 20 calls) unfortunately it was useless I couldn't understand what they were saying the worst English I’ve heard in my life (I don’t think it was even English) after I said "manager" 10 times I got a English speaking person on the phone (which was obviously on a lunch break, while talking with her mouth full occasionally) she immediately tried denying the oced ram then after she realized i had to much evidence against her she just said "Ok I will personally see that a replacement will be shipped out" 2 months later nada nothin. Its all a ploy its a joke, a crock, a fraudulent company. However you want to look at it you have a tiny % chance you wont get jiped and when you do kiss the money good bye.

"Horrible service, faulty product, slow shipping.
several phone calls ignored. many phone calls not returned. All emails ignored. I was left completly in the dark about several issues, causing my computer a 2 month delay until it become operational, costing me $200 in depreciation alone, $1000's worth of my time. Simply put, I would not order from them again if they were the last distributer left on earth."
"Ok... this is going to sound strange. A year ago, I bought 2 512MB sticks of PC2700 for 2 different systems (P4 2.53/Abit IT7 and XP1800+/Abit KT7). While one system worked flawlessly, the other (XP1800) had all sorts of stability problems, esp. when the weather is warm - clearly a heat issue. I tried everything: I replaced the Mobo 2 times (Abit, to their credit, replaced my motherboard twice with little hassle - great job guys), the CPU cooler, the thermal compound, etc - nothing seemed to work. However, since the problem only showed up on the hot days, I kind of let it slide.
Fast-forward to today. While reading a hardware forum, I came upon a thread about OCsytem, with a link to Resellerrating. After reading some of the horror stories here, I was decided to check what memory did they send me. I dl'ed CPU-Z and ran it on the P4 sytem: PC2700, CAS2, 178MHz. So far so good. Then, I decided to check the XP. Sure enough: PC2100, CAS2.5(!), 133MHz. Considering that I ordered both chips specked at PC2700/CAS2, I was not amused. I then replaced the DIMM in the XP system with the one from the P4, and the stability problem went away. So that’s what was f-ing everything up .
So, what did I learn?
1) With a personal satisfaction/fraud ratio of 50%, I am staying the hell sway from OC system
2) YES, the premium memory from a reputable store IS worth extra $50. I have just ordered 2GB worth of Mushkin black series. Do not buy “SUPER490MHZ!!!! GEL GAMER ULTAWINRAM!!! TEH OVERCLOKERZ!!!2” memory you see on the web, no matter how good the deal looks - it just not worth the headache.

"I have ordered an OC RAdeon9500 PRO what I have received was RAdeon 9500 (NOT PRO) which was overclocked to the same frequency settings as stated on the website, it also had the OCSystems Radeon 9500PRO Enchanced Sticker on IT . THus initially I thought nothing of it since hell the frequency seems ok...but the benchmarks weren't. The benchmarks barely met Radeon9500PRO (stock) standards (PRO has 8 MEM PIPES and NONPRO has 4). So upon closer investigation I've realised the error, the Windows was IDing the card as 9500, Sisoft Sandra was ID the card as 9500, I even did a BIOS dump and the BIOS was for Saphire Radeon 9500 and NOT PRO. Also the PCB layout is for 9500 and not 9500PRO (the 9500 is based on 9700 PCB and 9500PRO has it's own PCB), also the 9500PRO does not have L memory shape and nonPRO does. So I've talked to one of the tech support people and explained him the story.upon disagreaing with me he decided to RMA the card. SO I wrote them a long letter and included all the pictures of the proof I've gathered and I've included the letter in the packadge. I've also sent them a copy of the letter via e-mail. I also paid extra for UPS tracking and confirmation just to make sure they receive it. The parcel should be arriving on June 2, 2003. Thus I will keep you all posted how it goes. I've also alerted by Credit Card company to set a watch on that particular order (even though it's beyond 30 days they have arranged a specific fraud assesment flag).
Wish me luck"
"Bought OCSystem 512MB PC3200 400Mhz DDR SDRAM CL 2.5/CAS 2.5 with heat spreader for a cost of $56 each. I purchased two to run Dual Channel on my new ABIT NF7-S mobo. By default it runs at DDR266, changing bios to SPD it will go DDR333. When you make the changes as described by OCS to make it go to 400mhz as stated in the description, the computer won't start. I contacted their tech support and they cannot answer the question of settings to make it work. I called again to complain and the gal asked if I wanted to return it, but not with a 20% restocking fee for a product that is not running as described!! I consider this to be a scam and will not do business again. I even asked for spliting the difference to go with GEIL ram. Good thing they didn't do it. My brother went ahead and bought GEIL for the same mobo and the best it could do was 390mhz. Don't buy cheap ram or be prepared for a letdown. I wish I could get my hands on some real ram to test my computer to see 400mhz, but not at these prices!! WOW!!!!"
"I read reviews about ocsystem after i had already ordered my $101 case. Of course i was worried that if it showed up it would not be what i had wanted. Well 3 days after i placed my order it was proccessed and then shipped the day after. It is May the 16, a total of 10 day's since i placed my order and it has arrived. Its condition is superb, and all the parts are there! Of course the 1 email i sent asking when it would be shipped (on the 3rd day), was never answered. This is the first time i have ordered from ocsystem, and im fortunate to say it was a good one. I will not be ordering the ram i was going to becuase of so many negative feedbacks specificaly about that though.
Bottom line, they didnt rip me off, i got my case, everything's OK. I definatly feel fortunate after reading previous negative reviews. And i guess everyone dosn't get screwed by these guys."
"This company sucks, I ordered a Radeon 9700 pro from them and 4 months later the thing is getting artifacts at stock speeds. There is also what obviously is an attempt to mod the card from what seems to be a 9700 NON pro to a 9700 pro. very unsatisfied"
"I bought a stick of OCSystems 512 MB PC2700 DDR 333MHZ w/ CAS/CL 2.0 . After 8 days i recieved my package and eagerly plugged it into my computer. I use AMI Bios with the DRAM settings both set to SPD (both for speed[MHZ] settings and timings). When my computer started up it said 266Mhz Cas 2.5. I restarted and paused my screen to make sure i was seeing it correctly. I decided to check the memory using CPUZ, a freeware program which has many features. I used it to check the manufacturer and PC type of the RAM. There was no Vendor ID and it said that i infact had a stick of PC2100(DDR 266). I decided to check out the physical stick of ram itself, low and behold it wasn't even using BGA (Ball Grid Array) Packaging! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING OFF OF OCSYSTEM, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!"
"I had no problems with several orders to OC Systems although the parts I ordered (Fans, grills, video card memory heatsinks) are hard to mess up. They seem to have good prices and are well suited for the hardcore/overclocking computer user. My orders came well packaged and I was sent a UPS tracking number. My only complaint was the slow UPS shipping (1 week) and the high price to send 3-day shipping."
"Purchased ATI Radeon 8500 Retail (275/275). They shipped me a 275/250 and said they would ship out the correct card once they received what they sent me. Well, they never sent anything back and I asked for a refund, no word and could NEVER get in touch with them again (phone rings, no one ever picks up). Have been trying to get ahold of them for over 8 months to get my money back, I will now file a fraud claim and get my money back from my bank."
"Ordered before and had so-so experience (another famous OC System botched RAM order) but this is the only place that sells premodded cases. Ordered Thermaltake Xaser II A6000A with custom cut 80mm top blowhole. Case came in in fine condition; blowhole has a sharp edge to it, but the grille guard will keep people's hands safe. Probably my last order from these guys, but if I need a custom case, I'm looking here again."
"On feb. 10 2003 I ordered a 512 mb chip of PC2700, 2.5 CL. It came with a neat copper heat spreader, even though I only payed for an aluminum. I thought it was just because their a great company, but now after reading all these reviews about people getting shittier ram than they payed for, I am worried my pc2700 might not really BE pc2700.. It makes since too, i mean why would you not even have a choice of NO heat spreader, unless the ram was overclocked and would overheat otherwise? I will have to find a ram testing program before I accuse though, anyone know a good one to determine my rams speed?

Ok todays the 27th, I have an update!
I downloaded SiSoft Sandra something or other, and it detected my "pc2700" ram as shitty ass NANYA PC2100!!!! I GOT SCREWED BY THIS JACKASS COMPANY JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE!!! FUCKING COCKWINDERS!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THESE ASSHOLES, THEY SEND YOU RAM WITH A HEAT SPREADER COVERING THE CHIPS SO THAT YOU CANNOT SEE THAT THEY SENT YOU SLOWER RAM THAN WHAT YOU PAYED FOR!! ITS OVERCLOCKED CHEAPO RAM!!"
