"Review Revision: About a day or two after I wrote the following review, I recieved a call from Thomas saying that his higher ups approved a replacement for my defective unit. After that, Thomas worked with me to make sure that the problem with the original order was fixed.
I was moving at the time when the replacement process was taking place and Thomas offered to cross ship the item for me. I recieved the item flawlessly and the return was as simple as filling out a form and dropping the box off at my local fedex. The only negative that I could find within the whole process was the time of reciept till the credit was issued (about a week and a half), but even then it was painless. Thomas made several calls to make sure that I was pleased with the process.
I can understand that OneCall is a high volume seller and that problems do arise from time to time. At first I was greatly dissatified with the process, but after Thomas helped me to get my replacement, things turned around. My outlook has changed on this company, but I would have to order a few more times before I can have my full faith restored. Overall a good experience.

After a friend referred me to Onecall, I bought an Onkyo TXSR703B open box. The next day, I get a call saying that they did not have the black version anymore, but they had the silver one in stock. I accepted that and they sent me the unit.
I received my order 5 days later from FedEx. The outer box was a little dirty, but it was the inner box that scared me. The bottom side had lots of little holes on it; luckily enough, they did not extend into the box and the contents seemed to be alright. After testing the unit for two days, I noticed a popping noise coming from the receiver. The noise happens at random times. I kept testing the unit for a couple of more days with different inputs and cables, and no matter what, the pop would happen eventually.
About a week after I received my receiver, I got a call from a CS agent asking if everything was going alright with the receiver. I explained my problem and he said that they would, "make things right." He gave me the number to Onkyo and said if there was a problem with the receiver they'd give me a replacement. I tried calling Onkyo, but never got in contact with an agent. I called Onecall again on Friday May 5th.
I first got in contact with an agent named Chris. I told him my problem and explained that I would like an exchange. He told me that in order to get an exchange, I would have to pay shipping. I explained to him that my receiver weighs 30lbs and that shipping would be extremely expensive. He retaliated saying that it wasn't Onecall's fault for sending out a defective product and that I would still have to pay shipping back. After talking to him for about 15min I asked to be transferred to a manager. I got on the line with a manager named Thomas and explained my problem. He said that Onecall would pay for shipping back, but since my item is an open box, they would not be able to give me an exchange. After talking for a while longer, he basically said either I could send it in for a refund or get it fixed.
All in all, I would say this was one of the MOST MISERABLE shopping experiences I've had. Not only did I have to argue with a CS agent, they were not able to resolve my issue as one of the other agents said they would. I was expecting stellar service like from Newegg, but I guess I was expecting too much. They seem to care more about the money then their customers. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!"

"I was please with my shopping experience, purchased a Onkyo HT-S790 for $499.00 including free 3 day Fed Ex. They now reduced the price to $449.00 and added $129 for 3 day Fed Ex. The minimum price ends up being $579. Be careful a sale is not necessarily a sale but more of a trip in smoke and mirrors. The unit arrived in the allowed 3 days. On the weekends they offer private sale items for free. I suspect since it was the end of the month they wanted to meet quota. So I got a $68 Monster surge protector thrown in for free. A nice company to do business with. They did not try to sell me extended warranties or anything else. "
