"Misleading verbiage leads one to believe you will be paying about $30.00 less than list price. After being lead through a sequence of contrived steps where "X" amount was deducted for this, that and the other thing, it all gets added back in and you actually receive "Free Shipping" and not a $33.00 discount off the price. It was all smoke and mirrors as far as I'm concerned. To end up paying over $30.00 for a trigger to be shipped is a bit much. The item did arrive quickly and in good condition but for $30.00+ for delivery of an item that size and weight?? Should have been delivered by someone in formal wear on a silver platter.
I am a big fan of the old adage "screw me once... shame on you - screw me twice... shame on me." My experience with OpticsPlanet will be one and done.

"Tried to order an item online. After several attempts, each ending in my getting a pop up that they could not process my order, I called it in within minutes of my last attempt. They hit my credit card for the purchase AND somehow, even though I was told they could not place my order on the website. Charged me AGAIN on Paypal. They said they would refund toe credit card payment within 3 days....Its been over a week...NADA! This was on Feb 26 and I never received an invoice #."

"I placed an order for several items. All but 1 was shipped and arrived as expected. The 1 item that was shipped separately was lost in transit. I was forced to wait several days before Optics Planet would ship another. I was forced to call several times, often waiting 20+ minutes each time just to get in touch with someone. Leaving a message with my information to have them call me back fell on deaf ears. Once I was finally able to get a replacement sent, it was lost in transit yet again. I had begun the process for the 2nd time of waiting before Optics Planet would send a replacement, when low-and-behold, it finally arrived.
I'm sure I will try Optics Planet again in the future. Surely this scenario won't replay itself again."
"Granted the error was not OP's fault. PayPal used an old address as my shipping address. This was undetected at the time of purchase and resulted in my goods being labeled for shipping to the wrong address. Now, this error was detected at a point where the shipping notification and tracking (sent by OP via email) stated that a shipping label had been printed for the product but the tracking showed it still in the warehouse.
I called OP to alert them to the issue. I was told that even though it had not left the warehouse, there was nothing I could do except 'hope' that the good people receiving my purchase would return it whereupon I could be refunded my purchase cost. Advisement on the application of 'hope' to a customer service issue does not strike me as an effective approach to customer service at all. Based on this, and the apparent inability of a customer service representative to use a telephone to call the warehouse and tell them to hold the package (which again was shown as not having left yet) has lead me to drop OP as a vendor that I will be doing business with at any point in the foreseeable future."
"Placed an order February 26th, it is now March 13th and still no product. Delibery date keeps moving back more. No luck sitting on phone for over an hour to get ahold of a customer service representative. No email return either after sending in a complaint. "
"Sure a company can be okay as long as your item gets to you when you buy it. How you really tell a great company for an average one is when you have a problem and how its solved. Had a shipping issue they followed up quickly and got everything resolved with minimal hassle to me. What more can you ask for in a company."
