"At least, maybe a discount on shipping to Hawaii? You have to choose shipping. Choices were value or standard, same price $14.20. Standard to Hawaii, about 7 days from ship date-not bad. However, if you “accidentally” chose value shipping, it seems that they will send you by truck and boat to Hawaii, same price $14.20, and it’ll take, according to USPS almost 3 weeks. With Amazon, and most other vendors offering free (or cheaper) and quick shipping, to Hawaii, this is unacceptable by Optics Planet. I ordered from a private Vendor (EGW) in Pennsylvania, free 2 day FedEx to Hawaii. Ordered from a vendor in South Africa, shipping cost was less than $5, arrived to Hawaii in less than a week (although, the site said it might arrive in early March). B&H Photo, was very similar to Optics Planet-I stopped shopping there-better deals elsewhere (e.g. Best Buy that matches prices, Amazon, and others). Obviously, different story if you live on the continent and not some US State in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, based on reviews. Also, Optics Planet support does respond quickly on inquiries/questions. And, they have a great website with lots of information , sales and deals, email offers. Thus, 3 stars. If they make their shipping time quicker and/or related shipping cost more reasonable-they get 5 stars. "
