"My fiance purchased a
Tressa Sterling Silver Round-cut Cubic Zirconia Ring with which he was going to re-propose but his plan got messed up when the ring he ordered from Overstock.com granted was a quick delivery he ordered it Sunday morning and that Monday morning it was delivered. Well he was away at college and had it sent to my house so we didn't get to open the package until that Saturday when we discovered it was a very beautiful ring but it was the wrong size. He ordered a size 7 and they sent a size 5. Well so here I had this beautiful ring i went to try it on of course it didn't fit it got stuck on my hand. He called customer service and they told him to send the 5 back and they would send him a 7. They sent him an electronic label to send it back UPS but yet his order for the new ring did not even ship until that Monday and processed for like 5 days now we are just waiting and were hoping it would come today but it is apparently slower this time probably because of the holidays expecting it the Friday after Thanksgiving considering its last departure was like 2 hours away in Alabama (we are in Mississippi) which was on the USPS website and it was at 12:00 am LAST NIGHT but yet the mail has already come and it did not come. After reading the reviews of this site I will not order from them again not after their lousy service as well as the reviews ive read of people ordering toasters getting broken ones sending them back and getting ice makers. I'm done with overstock I just want to get my ring and say to hell with overstock.com. I do not recommend using them. In my opinion, you've got a safer chance of getting something from EBAY from a complete stranger just trying to sell his junk. I give overstock.com a major thumbs down."

"Pre-ordered Halo 4 from overstock, they didn't even begin processing the order until launch date, didn't send it to USPS for shipping until 2 days later. The tracking information doesn't even give a clear indication as to where the package is. I plan on avoiding overstock at all costs in the future."

"I would not recommend buying from this site. Read carefully all descriptions as they tend to sell knock off with very little value. For example, I purchased a Le Corbusier type LC2 chair, supposedly leather, but it is fake. They described it as leather match when it really is cheap vinyl. 1/4 of the seat is leather, the other 3/4 are vinyl. I told them I felt mislead, and if they could explain what leather match means, they had no idea what it meant, but yet, they felt they were giving me a courtesy discount when they charged me $70 to return the item. Never again… "

"I ordered a toaster oven from them. When it arrived, it didn't work. They sent me a label to return it and sent out a replacement right away. Good eh? NO -- when the replacement arrived, it was an icemaker instead of a toaster oven. Although they would take it back, they wouldn't ship a replacement until they got back both of their errors!!! Needless to say, both are on their way back and only then will I supposedly get a credit."

"I wish now I had read the reviews before I shopped on Overstock. I ordered a pair of earrings for my wedding and paid the extra money to have them shipped on a 2 day delivery. They still have not shipped! When I contacted customer service they tried to tell me I asked for regular shipment terms of 3-5 days. I did not receive one straight answer from this person! Just the same BS of I am sorry and we can do nothing but contact the warehouse. When I asked if I would get an answer from them the same day, this person informed me it could take 3-5 days for a reply. Then when I asked how long for a refund if I cancel the order, I was told again 3-5 days. That seems to be their standard answer. I will never order from this place again. And strongly warn all others to be very careful about ordering, if they feel they must do so."

"Am not usually the one to write reviews online - but here goes, because i think they deserve this.

I ordered a panasonic blu-ray BDT-220 player and had it sent to my wife in India on October 18. I was really apprehensive about this site from the reviews i saw online (which was AFTER i placed the order - and trust me, I got super-paranoid - lol - i would have cancelled if the card wasn't charged)

Anyways - i received the order in 5 days flat - it was quick, in perfect packaging and price was cheaper than anything i could find in the country itself. I am glad i went with these guys because it was really a job well done from point A to point B.

I know some people have had problems so i can't comment on that but i will buy again for sure. "

"I bought a 6 pack of stuffingless squeeky toys for my pup, as those are his favourites and they cost less than what I normally pay at the store. When I received these products, of the 12 squeekers(2 per toy), only three worked. So my pup won't bother, and I wasted my money. When I contacted overstock, they offered me a 10% refund (3/12 = 25% workable squeekers, so i thought 10% was little). I was about to accept the offer, seeing as it was better than nothing, when I remembered they sent me two emails. Upon reading the second email -- that came only 12 hours after the first one was sent -- it stated that because I actually had a life and did not reply right away (not in those words, exactly), the issue was closed and will not be reopened. WHAT?! I understand that certain people have had positive experiences with this company, but it seems their problems in dealing with them have not been all right, so I would not take the gamble in buying from these people again."

"I ordered a book from Overstock Digital for my sister's birthday and I expected it in 3 days. It came to me in 4. And one of the sides of the book was heavily dented. Although everything else went really well (they told me that they were shipping it off and when to expect it) they didn't do a fantastic job with protecting my sister's book and they didn't ship it very fast."

"I originally ordered four HON 4700 mid back chairs (which I have used happily) and adding some other items to make a 10% coupon off of $1200. The order went through seemingly without issue. My wife did not like th additional items so I cancelled my order. She repurchased the
order with 4 HON 4700 mid back chairs with other items to make the $1200. Overstock then told us that the 4 HON 4700 chairs were cancelled due an inventory error, but it shipped our other items and offered a $5 refund for the issue. I really want the chairs and spoke to customer support "Keith" and then his floor supervisor "Phillip". He told me that there was a database error. I work in the computer field myself so I attempted to ask for other ways to rectify the issue (can it be backordered, can they change the number of chairs sold). Both answers were no. Phillip proceed to show me two other chairs, one I tested and did not like and the other I have never sat on so I cannot buy. This part felt like a bait-and-switch.

At best, it was better for Overstock to give me $5 than to fix their database issues. At worst I feel that Overstock did not want to honor my contract due the 10% coupon for the chairs."

"Overstock.com is more like Overprice.com. Just check the Netgear GS605 network switch. Everywhere else are selling for $39.99, their price is over $46. Lot of places are free shipping and Overstock charge a few bucks fo shipping. By the time you added it all up. You pay over 25% more. OVERPRICE or not?"

"I can't honestly see why Overstock.com has such low ratings here. Their customer service is the best I've come across and they offer great discounts. Just to give an example, how many other companies do you know of that will stand behind a product they sell, yet wasn't made by them? I had a product that they sell fail outside of Overstock's return period. When I contacted customer service and explained that the manufacturing of this particular product was faulty, they immediately took steps to remove the item from their website and refund me the full amount. I received emails and phone calls through the whole process from excellent CS reps."

"I ordered a "handmade jigsaw frame". When I received the frame it was cheaply made and painted, not separate pieces of wood. I returned it and used there label, because every other website I've ever returned something from has free return shipping. They charged me $8.75 to return a 2 oz. object. I will never use them again. What horrible a horrible, falsely advertised product and ridiculous return policy."
