"I ordered three DVDS from Overstock. One came early it was Transformers the movie. THe outside plastic actually tore off while I unwrapped it and it wont play in my Xbox. I emailed overstock just to complain and I got a prompt reply a couple days later. Even though I was mad about the cheap DVD and how long the products took to be delivered, that reassured me to hear from them quickly and that they actually tried to respond to my problem. I'll order from them again."
"I can't say enough about this company. I put in an order for a Helly Hansen jacket on the 18th of November 2002. Until the 20 the status of the order say accepted but had no shipped date as promised to be within 24 hours. So I promptly emailed overstock.com support. They quickly replied and answered any and all questions I had. After the support email I checked the status of my order. Item shipped!! So I checked the fedex number and it said it would be here on the 26th of November, a Tuesday. I was perfectly fine with that. However..come Saturday (Today) the 23rd..Item already arrived! I was under the assumption that Saturday delivery was only with Fedex two day and overnight?! Looks like someone at overstock pulled some strings and got me my item sooner than fedex would have delivered it! As I opened the box I discovered an awesome Helly Hansen jacket as described and pictured. These people have excellent support staff and great products. I would not hesitate to do business with them again! Good Job!!"

"I hold computer classes. I have bought six slightly antiquated computers and two digital cameras from Overstock.com and all transactions were completely satisfactory. A purchase of instructional software was less so. At first they refused to accept a return because it was software. When I explained that the software was written in Pidgin English and I couldn't use it for that reason, they apologized and gave me a credit. Good people!"

"I placed my order with Overstock on the 11th, the order didn't leave the warehouse until the 17th, it is now the 23rd and I still haven't received the item. I spoke with Cody in the customer service department at overstock and he told me the item shipped on the 13th and that UPS had received the item in my local hub. However, when I double checked with UPS they said the order was not given to them until the 17th and that the local hub had not received it. Overstock has taken way too long to deliver this item and the customer service department has been unwilling to give accurate infomation as to the whereabouts of this order."
"Purchased a watch from Overstock on 9/10/02.....as of today, 9/23/03, it's still floating somewhere in limbo. Skipping around the country with UPS and Overstock has yet to help. Customer service maintains the product was delivered yet cannot say who signed for it (hint: no one has....it hasn't gotten here) and the delivery date keeps shifting depending upon what UPS's site says. And they have not once offered to refund shipping costs or anything else.
The customer service is a joke...."low" prices are just a dream especially when you factor in the lousy service during and after the sale.
Buy locally instead from these clowns. You'll be happier and better off in the end."
"Overstock listed a Microsoft-Dell Natural Keyboard Pro but failed to mention it was OEM or only had a USB computer connection instead of both USB and PS2 which is standard on the Natural Pro retail version."
"I recently went to overstock.com to purchase a vacuum cleaner. I went through the on-line purchase process, which is 7 steps, and managed to get to the 5th step. At that point, I was informed that the billing address for the credit card I had entered was incorrect. My husband and I had just changed addresses, so I entered in our old address. The billing system refused to let me go any further or change the billing address. It would not process my order. I closed the browser window and decided that perhaps there was something momentarily wrong with overstock.com's system and I would try again. I did try again, minutes later, and the order was processed. Everything was fine until I checked my e-mail and discovered that my credit card had been charged twice for the same purchase. Evidently, even though the computer system did not go through all the purchasing steps and did not give me a confirmation page with an order number, it processed the card anyway. I immediately e-mailed overstock.com to let them know of the computer error and that I would need the extraneous order canceled. After waiting several days, I received an e-mail back from them stating that it was their policy to not cancel any orders. This began a lengthy set of e-mails between overstock.com and myself. Continuously, they refused to correct their mistake, denied they made a mistake, and so on. All I wanted was the extra order canceled, not both of them. They refused to listen to any reason. They told me I could simply return it when I received it, but of course I would have to pay associated restocking fees, etc. I said that I would be happy to just return it, if they would waive those fees. They refused, saying they COULD NOT MAKE ANY EXCEPTIONS to their policy. I refuted this claim. The customer service person I was dealing with claimed that he/she could no longer be of assistance to me, that the matter was over. I requested information of a supervisor, and this person has failed to contact me back with that information. I am disgusted with this whole process, especially when I was not the one to make a mistake. I would not recommend ordering from this company because if there is any glitch in their ordering system, or even if you were to make a mistake, which I did not, they will not cancel your order, under the guise of "good customer service." Do not support a company that does not care for their customers and refuses to correct a mistake.

"I bought what was on the website, a 21' Refurbished Viewsonic Monitor ( they say they have a bunch of viewsonic modnesl but do not tell you the model number), with 3.95 shipping. I recieved the monitor about 8 days later and opened it and it was a 21 monitor made by cybersonic ( never heard of them) and was made in 1997!!! I called them and they told me that that Viewsonic made these for that company!!! They were ok with giving me a RMA and they paid for shipping back, but it was a lot of hassle and false advertisement. I doubt if I will order from them again"
