"When I first got on the site to look for parts a chat window opened to ask for my VIN number so I could get the correct part. The representative on the chat was very helpful to the point I was sent an actual photo of the exact part I needed in the package. I used the photo to compare to my original part and it was an exact match. I had two other parts in my basket that I also needed. The chat representative sent me a link to a parts quote that they put together with all the exact parts that I needed. I received 1 package with the original two items that were in my basket. Then a few days later I received another package which should have contained the part that the chat representative had sent me a photo of, the part that they had looked up for me, sent me a parts quote link for and that I compared and accepted as the exact part I needed, but instead contained a duplicate of one of the parts I had already received in the other package. I contacted parts geek by phone, after waiting for a call back, only to be told I had to go back to their site and file a claim and go through their ludicrous system only to be told I have to send the wrong part back and start all over to order the right part that I had already went through all the trouble of finding. Like a fool, I did as they instructed, only to be sent the exact same wrong part again. I will never purchase anything from them again and I strongly recommend against anyone else ordering anything from them either. My car sat for weeks waiting while all of this foolishness happened. They had the original order including the parts quote links and all of the messages sent back and forth between myself and the chat representative, but would not just simply send me the part that they looked up, sent a photo of and put together a parts quote link to send me. Terrible business. "

"BEWARE! I received the alternator for a Volkswagen tdi se. The job of replacing it was quite a task. After trying to use the one sent, installing it turned out to be the wrong choice. It will take much less time to remove and replace the second time because i already did it once so i am familiar with what it takes. However, parts geek does not offer a replacement or exchange program. Therefore, i have to send this one back, wait on my refund and purchase again. Needless to say, they won't be getting my money the second time around. Thanks for the headache. It truly was a pain in my a** and i will never use them again to order any parts whatsoever in the future. I am writing to hopefully help anyone considering ordering from them. They sent the alternator within a box lined with a piece of foam around four sides of the box. The foam was no thicker than about 1/2". No wonder it broke. Take your business elsewhere."
