"I invoiced my client last month and was charged $34, but I received my funds immediately. This month I invoiced the same client and immediately received and email from Paypal stating the funds will be on hold for 21 days because this is a new account (FALSE) and to protect the buyer and seller.
I contacted Paypal via chat because they are short staffed per their phone line. During the chat the rep told me the same thing. So, Paypal wasn't protecting the buyer and seller last month but this month they decide to protect us both, ha!
They're not good to use for business. My funds are needed immediately in order for me to run a successful business. I cannot afford a vendor holding my funds when they see fit. I'm sure next month it will be a different reason for them to do something faulty. I would agree with this if this was in writing day one when I sent the first invoice.
What person pays a $1500 invoice if they didn't receive the services or goods. Paypal is so out of line for this. "
"PayPal needs to be investigated by the appropriate authorities. I've been receiving payments for 3 years with paypal for products I sell online, PayPal started charging additional fees everytime I transfer money to my bank so I stopped using them as much and withdrawing my funds as soon as I receive them "I dont trust paypal" now my "instant transfers" take several days because they claim they are protecting me the customer and that "me withdrawing funds when I get them raises red flags" since when do you leave your money in a payment processing company account? They are thieves, customer service is useless and my money is missing now.. the previous 5 transactions (withdrawls have been flagged) and they claim at random. They also state they fan cancel or hold funds and there discretion for any reason!"

"I'm planning my family mini-getaway NH for our skiing trip. I transferred my money Saturday to the renter 2/8 to book my cottage. Paypal took out from my checking account 2/10. Come Thursday, still pending on their end. My Renter still has not received my money. Called PayPal horrible customer 1st agent, 2nd agent was okay. I found out it takes 6 business for e-check electronics. I ask them where is my money, my bank did not hold my money it's already cleared. Where did it go too? They couldn't answer my question or give me a phone # for the 3rd party. I'm furious I'm leaving in two days for my trip. My renter still has not received the money. I don't know what to do. I couldn't get the money back PayPal still holds on to it. A couple of years ago I never have to through this with them. "

"I won an ebay dispute, and they credited the buyer $10 when the buyer didn't even purchase the item for $10.
Paypal didn't even read that I won the ebay dispute, and just credited the buyer anyway. Total waste of time waiting on hold for 5 hours. I've used paypal since paypal opened, and they obviously don't know what they are doing.
Completely disappointing as you have now given a buyer money WHEN they kept the item and NEVER RETURNED THE ITEM."

That I had nothing to do with, the purchase was fraudulent I put in a claim for a case it was denied they told me it was usual activity I haven't got a clue where the purchase came from called customer service they put me on hold twice for 40 minutes. "I have used paypal for years, as once it was the single service that offered the most versatility and reach, synergizing with the most platforms.
My usage has dropped off in recent years though as competitors emerged who better worked with services I used, or who I found more convenient, or had innovated more.
The straw that has finally broken this camel's back is the interminable delays, holds, waits and the like, which are utterly are ridiculous. Yet again I've attempted to transfer my money and been told that it would be held for 72hrs while a "security review" was conducted - there's no rhyme or reason to these reviews that happen constantly, and it doesn't seem Paypal's customer service team has any training or information on why this keeps happening, or how to stop it. They offer nothing but buzz words while constantly trying to blame my bank. My bank confirms they have no say in it, these reviews don't happen on every transfer I attempt to make, and other wallet apps I use don't have this problem.
In this day and age these practices are absurd. If I can stick money in an evelope and have it arrive on the other side of the country faster then I am able to extract money from Paypal's clutches then the service simply isn't competitive.
If you value having real control of your money, and knowing you'll be able to access it in a timely manner, skip Paypal. There are better services out there these days that do as much as PayPal, without the glacial pace, lack of transparency, and godawful customer service."

"PAYPAL has always been my online payment method of choice until recently I noticed they have no support for buyers. They rule in favor of sellers and could really care less if you are supported. On Nov 11 I purchased from an online company called Hyping. The purchase was for $111.70 for 3 items. After a month of no communication and no item I reached out to the company. I finally received a tracking number and received my delivery on 12/22. When I opened the package there were only 2 of the 3 items I purchased. Upon further investigation of the items 1 of the 2 items was supposed to be a mens XXL and at best it was a Childs large. There was no way it was usable. When I logged on to Paypal to dispute the charge I noticed the transaction was for $119.70 not $111.70 as I agreed to. So at this point I am out $83.80 and Paypal sent me a request for a "police report" to resolve this issue. I have spoken to 2 representatives from PayPal and they still ruled in the sellers favor because I could not provide a police report. This is the most insane I have ever seen and now I have to dispute this charge with my bank. Paypal doesn't care about any buyer only making $$$. Its a shame that things are this way. I DO NOT RECOMMEND PAYPAL TO ANYONE!"

In addition to very high transaction fees, PayPal got even greeedier and stop refunding their fees in case of order cancellation or return shifting that burden on very small scale sellers. There is no team work on the side of PayPal - it's - "we want it all, and as much as we can get". Disappointed big time with PayPal and not for the first time. Looking for alternatives. "

You do not get what you pay for and Paypal will not take any action against Shark Shop.
