"Well you learn something new everyday and what Iv'e learnt with PayPal is unless your buying something under £10 never ever ever pay by PayPal, use your debit or credit card and then do a charge back when you come across a company like Otty who are looking to scam you. It turns out and I quote PayPal: you ordered a mattress and you didn't get a bicycle end quote. Now if everything on the Otty is a scam from the description to failed collections, to even being threatened with court action It turns out that if as a company you pay monthly your PayPal Subscriptions that your negative feedback stays under 3%."
"Yeah so, Paypal is a joke. I suggest you all quit using Paypal because their "buyer protection" doesn't exist anymore. I got scammed by a seller from China and provided tons of photographic evidence and they denied my claim. Thanks Paypal, you sided with a fraudulent seller and lost another customer. I'll be using my credit card from now on."
"I purchased a piano through PayPal. When it arrived it did not work. I spoke to your customer service. They said I did not have to provide tracking details, because the item I purchased was from china, and the shipping to return it was more then I payed for it. When I made the purchase it looked like they were located in the united states. But when I went to send it back It turned out they wanted it shipped back to china. So PayPal Instead asked for a letter from a professional repair shop stating that it did not work. So I went through the trouble of bringing it in to a music shop to have it looked at. They gave me a statement saying it did not work. I submitted it to PayPal and they still denied my case. I lost all my money.

"PayPal I thought was a staple. But I was mistaken. The difference between personal PayPal & PayPal business is night & day. I just set up a PayPal business account and as soon as I tried to purchase a service for customers, I received an account limitation & the card was declined.
The customer service is horrendous. The outsourced, they are illiterate & cannot understand the problem let alone fix a solution. It’s not their fault. It is PayPal’s greedy management’s fault.
They should be ashamed of this. I have not found worst customer service than this. Where a customer service agent says “No” when you ask to speak to a supervisor."
"I tried disputing a transaction after the item stated it was a cotton turtleneck in the title and it was made of polyester. I was told I had to return the $28.11 to China for $36.00. After doing research, the company was counterfeit and fraud. I filed a dispute with the Federal Trade Commission. Facebook took down their page and the business now is nowhere to be found. Paypal still refused to refund my money."
"I ordered a sweatshirt from a company called Unifury. The company sent me someone else's order twice not once but twice. I told them I would gladly return both if they reimbursed the shipping. Paypal closed my case and sided with the company. Luckily I only use my credit card to order through Paypal so I have another method of dispute to get my full amount back. I disputed the charge with my credit card company this morning. I closed my paypal account today. I had a balance of $2.38 and it cost me $1.50 to have them mail a check because this is the last place I would put my bank account info into. Be careful. This used to be a good service but in the last few years they are a simple way for Chinese companies to commit fraud on consumers. "
"Seller places tracking info for a package that went somewhere else. UPS confirmed that the tracking number isn't to my address. I raised an issue with Paypal. Paypal sided with the seller and closed the case. REALLY?!!!"
"Oct. 12th 2019 I ordered a bedding set on a webite. Their site said they was based in TX. After a week of no emails nor tracking number I emailed this website and got no reply after two days. So I used the email provide by Paypal with again no reply. Looking at their wedsite under shipping said "How long will it take for the buyer to receive their order?
On average, merchandise is produced and shipped from our facility 2-3 business days after purchase. Standard shipping/transit times apply (5-10 days for domestic and 7-15 days for international)." Knowing this I thought I should have got the item by now so I used goggle maps and the address provided by this website and found something odd. Goggle maps showed a different company. This different company website had a phone number so I called and talked to a woman who ran the accounts there and told her the problem. To my surprise she had told me she had other phone calls about the same problem that they told this seller from the website I ordered from to change his address that it wasn't his bussness. Hearing this I knew this was a scam and was using this other company's address as a front, so filed with the FBI, FTC, and Paypal. After which I get a email from someone named differently than the seller I dealt with and with a different website saying my order was shipped out of CHINA. Looking at this new website I found that this address was a residential area on goggle maps. Telling Paypal this was a waste of time as I had to wait to get the item which came from CHINA. Oct 29 2019 I received the item and wasn't even close to what I ordered, so again I called Paypal and told them about it and even told them I recorded me opening it. They told me I had to wait another 10 days to have the seller respond. Oct 30th 2019 I get an email from Paypal saying I have to send the item back to the seller only this time it wasn't the China address they gave me, it was Vietnam. So after doing a little research with the Vietnam address I called Paypal back and told the rep "you do know this address points to a restaurant? Don't take my word for it, Google it." So she did and gets back on there saying "Your right, but that's the seller's email and address he gave us so ship it there." I then asked her about the shipping cost which she replied that Paypal will refund shipping cost up to $30.00.
Oct. 31st 2019: I took the package to the post office and not only did I have to sit there and fill out a customs form but it cost me $38.75 to ship it. Nov. 1st 2019, Just received a email from Paypal that they are paying me $30.00 of the shipping which means I'm out of $8.75 that I won't get to see. So now I have to wait til this seller gets the item and found out what my next hoop is that I have to jump through.
Nov. 6th 2019: I noticed that Paypal changed the Estimated case resolution from the 8th to the 11th."
"I've been a member of PayPal for 17 years I called to change my email address and once it was done they treated me as I was the first time user. After 629 transactions on eBay they put a hold on my funds to receive payments or 10 days company absolutely **** the customer service **** half the people don't understand how to solve problems they just go buy a script that's given to them. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone."
"Paypal is now NOT refunding the fee on cancelled orders. If you bought something from me for $2200 and then cancelled your order...Paypal KEEPS the $69 fee!!!!! 7 year customer that transacts over 20K every year.....Bye Felicia!! I am out"
"Would have given them no stars if possible, Indian call centre, all they do is send you generic answers and do not actually read what your concern is, 30 minute call the first time and told it was being sorted, told i would get an e-mail once it had been fixed by the technical team, 2nd phone call 40 minutes (on hold most of the time), eventually got through to a manager, what a joke he was, if hes a manger then i am Boris Johnson, absolutely fuming, PAYPAL get a grip and employe people who are trained to do the job"
"Ive ordered 2 things and yet to receive either one i will not use them again"
"Worst ever agents have no idea what they are doing"
"It is Your responsibility to alert your customers when you (PayPal) "Feels Like" turning a payment into an e-check without any notification. I send payments using paypal with the same payment method every time and only randomly this happens for No Reason and it then takes 5-7 days for the recipient to receive the funds and you can't cancel the payment. Stop being shady paypal. I expect more from you."
"I bought a foldable wagon online to which the seller provided a UPS tracking number that was delivered to a different person and address. I spoke with UPS and they confirmed the tracking number was for a different person and address, not for me. I filed a claim with Paypal stating such and even asked them to call UPS to confirm of the willing fraud commited by the seller, but the claim was denied 2 days later after the seller provided the same tracking #. I spoke with a paypal rep and she said that since the seller provided a tracking number, they will side with the seller. I did a 3 way call conference with that same paypal claims rep and a UPS rep and the UPS rep confirmed that the tracking number was for a different person and the address is different from mine. Guess what, the paypal rep said they cant do anything about it. I asked about their buyer protection BS, and she said they also have a seller protection program. I then asked if the confirmation by the UPS rep that the seller willingly and fraudulently gave Paypal and I a tracking number that is not for me, she said they will abide by their decision to deny my claim and that I should pursue the case with my bank. What a bunch of conniving fraudsters. I guess that is why eBay has dropped them them they are a useless piece of dung."
