Mismanagement of money

"Back in August, I used my PayPal business account to send money to a friend. Because it was a personal transaction, I very carefully specified that the money come from my Wells Fargo card instead of the balance of my PayPal account. But PayPal wiped out my balance anyway, only taking the remainder from my personal card instead of the full amount. I spent HOURS in chat and on the phone complaining and trying to get a resolution. They couldn't put the money back but assured me it was a technical glitch that had been fixed. They said it would not happen again. Yesterday, I sent more money to the same friend. Same result. My PayPal account is what I use to pay business expenses. To have it used for a personal transaction not only screws up my records, it takes away the money I need for my business. They want me to jump through all the same hoops they put me through last time. Not happening. Fool me once...etc."

Absolutely horrible !

"PayPay makes it easy for themselves to be the third party between you and your bank, masking themselves as being more secure for their customers and offering reassurance on their purchases. This is a crock of BS because they only thing PayPal does is make it easier for themselves to screw you over.
Sure, it's easy to buy with PayPal but it's impossible to get any resolve with disputes - they really do not care at all !
Stick with your bank - they'll go after a shoddy vendor for you - Pay Pal will not !!

Unreliable and Shady

"Paypal is the most UNRELIABLE and USELESS third party payment site. There is so much shadiness going on all over the place and they do not care whatsoever if you are scammed using their site, no matter how much proof you have. What is the point of using Paypal if there is literally NO security in making payments? I am deleting my account with them and encourage you all to do the same, or at least don't do ANY transactions with someone who you are not extremely close to."

"PayPal is holding my money for a 21 day MINIMUM when the consumer and I confirm satisfaction with the product/service. They hold money to collect their own interest. PayPal has impossible customer service. You have options. Choose another option if you would like to access your money. "

Horrible service and holding my money for 2 and 1/2 Weeks

"I've been a customer PayPal for 5 years they've been holding my money for 2 and 1/2 Weeks claiming that I'm a new customer. I tried to give them the banking information that they need their website said that I was under review and should take two to three days. I was never given any indication by text message or email that there is any issue. Even though I have it set up in the settings of PayPal's website but I should be notified. And when I try to login to resubmit new information it would not allow me to. They're holding my money hostage."

USELESS WHE IT COMES TO DISPUTES

"THE PAYPAL AGENTS ARE USELESS WHEN IT COMES TO A DISPUTE.
I GOT SCAMMED AND TRIED TO OPEN A DISPUTE SO I CAN GET MY MONEY BACK AND EVENTUALLY THE SCAMMER WON SIMPLY BECAUSE THE AGENTS ARE IDIOTS AND DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO THEIR JOB.

I HAD ENOUGH PROOF TO SHOW THAT IT WAS NOT MY FAULT BUT WHAT CAN YOU DO WHEN THERE ARE IDIOTS THAT ARE DOING THE JOB.

Due to scammers, I have lost my product worth $300 and the $174 that I was owed for it. I will never use again.

"Absolutely horrible customer service and no seller protection. I will be cancelling my account and never using again as soon my horrible situation is over. I sold an expensive item through eBay and an international hacker bought it through a buyer's legitimate account. Now I am out not only the item, but I had to refund the original buyer the cost of the item because the purchase was unauthorized. This is a PayPal issue because eBay claims it cannot assist me since the claim was through PayPal. After around five hours of talking on the phone to representatives, I have been told that there is nothing that can be done, and my money was automatically withdrawn to give to the buyer. Thanks so much for all of your seller protections, you did an absolutely horrible job and I will never use PayPal again. I highly recommend others to look towards other online financial options that actually protect their customers and work for them."

PayPal Supports Scammers!

"PayPal support Scammers. I purchase 4 clothing items for $117.96. They took 2weeks to send me a tracking number. The tracking number was bogus, but used as my address. It showed that the item/package was delivered to my house but I never received the package. I called Payal on the next business day. They file a dispute & the seller only sent them the SAME tracking number of the items that I didn't receive. PayPal made me wait 2weeks only to side in the Sellars favor! I made this purchase thru PayPal to be safe. But obviously I wasn't. I use my credit card for unknown websites if I ever do this again. PayPal doesn't protect the buyer at all!"

DO NOT USE, YOU'VE BEEN WARNED

"This is not the company to use if you're doing real business. I have a sales company for over 23 years and in the past year we transitioned to PayPal because we can send invoices with links and they make the process of charging clients and collecting money very easy, but that's where it ends.

PayPal does not fight for their clients when customers charge back, regardless of how much proof of service you can show them. No matter how much documentation, emails, text messages, invoices with clearly spell out the terms, none of it matters. If the customer charges back through their finanical institution, you're ****. I am going on now almost a month since my client reversed the charges and I still have not gotten my account credited.

I even have my own client who's advocating on my behalf and it doesn't matter. I have letters from his finanical institution clearly stating the charge back was reversed and the money was deposited back into PayPal's account, but still nothing.

When I call PayPal, everyone I talk to has a different story. They don't know what they're talking about, they're as rude as you can imagine, but what do you expect from a San Francisco technology company?

I've been in business for over 23 years. I've been using merchant accounts for over two decades and dealing with charge backs for all that time. Once a client reverses their decision, it doesn't take 3 months for that money to be refunded.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU'RE MAKING LARGE TRANSACTIONS.

Supports Criminal Behavior & Offers Zero Buyer Protection

"I purchased an item online and trusted the purchase because it was used with PayPal. I received a tracking number from the seller and looked forward to my purchase being delivered. The purchase was delivered to another address. After doing some basic research, I learned that this company takes your money, steals a real tracking number from UPS or a legitimate company and you never hear from them again and you never get the product you ordered. This experience is well documented on many websites that the same experience happens to every customer. The tracking number that was stolen was from a pool company that sent a filter system to a legitimate customer, because UPS gave me the address and I visited that customer. I ordered furniture shelves that this company has nothing to do with. The pool company has started a fraud investigation. UPS agrees it was fraud and has started a fraud investigation.
PayPal literally says they do not care and that tracking number was provided by the seller (the stolen tracking number from a different company and delivered to another address not mine). I'm out my money and no product and no resolution and PayPal says tough luck. I have contacted them 4 times to give them a chance to rectify their wrong. I will NEVER USE PAYPAL ever again and would never trust them. They stand behind criminal behavior and tell customers who use them tough luck if they don't get a product that was purchased. If it turns out that UPS is being hacked and this looks like a big scam operation the FBI will get involved, but PayPal stands behind criminal behavior and aides and abets criminals.

"PayPal are the worst company you can ever use, they have cost my company thousands in loss of business please please please stay away from this company they will destroy your business. Paypal can not longer be trusted

"Paypal is allowing Sellers to rip off Buyers and allowing them to hide behind dozens of Seller accounts pretending to be in the USA when in fact they are not. They are charging 2 day shipping and then the product doesn't arrive for a month. In my case they didn't even ship it until after 3 weeks when I asked for a refund. Paypal then sided with the Seller and even AFTER I returned the product would still not make them give me my money back. They have forever lost me as a longtime customer."

HUGE SCAM! DO NOT USE!!!

"PayPal is a huge scam and I advise everyone to stay clear of it! Someone sent me funds for a car I was selling. First red flag: anyone that has your email address can send you money! No approval needed!!!! Fraud!!!! Then, PayPal asked me to send a bunch of fees. It was added to my total payment for the car, but they needed me, THE SELLER, to send $2,000 worth of payments!!! FRAUD! Furthermore, they asked me to send to random countries via Western Union, which was flagged and cancelled. Then they asked me to send Amazon gift cards, which was flagged and cancelled as well.

Then, PayPal "accidentally" took too much out of the buyer's account ($950) and added it to my pay out, so they needed me to send it back to the buyer BEFORE I could get my payment. FRAUD! This was PayPal's mistake and they MADE ME PAY FOR IT! Lastly, I still haven't gotten my funds.They will not respond to my emails and are holding mine, and the buyer's money, which is LITERALLY FRAUD.
