The criteria for lifting the hold were then incorrectly applied but there was no reasonable way to fix the issue. Everything online is directed to automated chat, which solves nothing. I always felt PayPal was a service with questionable value, and now I can confirm a lack of value, their absolute incompetence and a their lack of integrity."
"I woke up few days ago and find out my Paypal account was hacked and someone spent my money on some cd keys on some scam sites. Nothing to help from Paypal, just a bunch of bs how they cannot to anything.
So, guys, avoid Paypal, anyone can hack into Paypal and use your earned money for their benefit."

"This is a third-rate company that is surviving because of lock-in with eBay. I will be closing my account with them and not use them anymore.
(1) I sold an eBay item and then couldn't ship because there were no international flights. So I cancelled the transaction and refunded the item in full.
(2) eBay refunded the selling fee in full but refused to tell PayPal to refund the fees.
(3) So, PayPal still wnt me to pay approx $6 for a transaction that was cancelled. Imagine going to Walmart or target, buying and then returning an item and still being stuck with the credit card fee to pay!
(4) I complained to PayPal to no avail. I wrote to their CEO and President Schulman and Rainey twice to no avail.
(5) This is a third-class company that is a bottom-feeder. Avoid them like Corona Virus or Bubonic Plague. There are far many other, better options."

"I got scam by a buyer for my gaming laptop and they charge-back me and open up a case. Its been 5 months and the case is still open with no help at all. I contacted them through there phone and chat two months ago which they just told me to wait longer. Two months Later, I BBB them and they dont respond at all. I twitter them they ask for my account and case number and after i give it to them, they dont respond back no more. Dont sell stuff on eBay. eBay is no help at all, they told me to talk to PayPal about it. USPS wont help cause since he sent the package back because of eBay, i cant get insurance for it too. Now the thief has my laptop and i lost a lot of money because of it. Lesson Learn. Warning to others not to sell on eBay and expect a resolution if you get scam. "They didn't pay my Ebay fees out of my Paypal account, even though there are funds in the account.
Tried to call today to find out what's going on - and have been on the phone for over 2 hours !!!!!
They keep clicking into the call and then after a minute of so of silence then click out and the call goes back to being on hold.
If they cannot take customer service calls then they should say so - not leave a client hanging on hold for over 2 hours ! and still no answer.

"I am very disappointed at Paypal. We sold my wife's car and tried transferring the payment via paypal. NEVER again!!!! They held up the money at every point, including holding the money for 2 WEEKS after they received it without interest. And for that "SERVICE" they charged me almost 4%!!! I tried calling their worthless "help desk" but the WOULD NOT do anything. STAY AWAY FROM PAYPAL."
