"I ordered a Nikon d40 earlier this week. I was told my order was declined due to the billing addresses not matching. I called to confirm that they did, indeed, match, and was told that photoloon would call the bank and get authorization over the phone. I looked on my credit card statement, and I was deducted the $421 dollars for this purchase, so I assumed my purchase was approved. I emailed photoloon to confirm this, and received an email saying that my card was declined again, even though the addresses matched. I called my credit card company, who then told me that I was charged TWICE for this purchase. The first transaction went through, and the second transaction was denied, but the $421 that I spent on the camera was, indeed, deducted from my account. So at this moment, I have photoloon telling me that my card was declined and I won't be receiving this camera, but my bank statement saying that I did, in fact, pay for this camera. I would strongly suggest purchasing your items elsewhere."

"From my experience it seems like this is a small company much more interested in getting and keeping customers than making large profits. First of all, the camera I bought could not be found cheaper at any other online store (and I did check them all). Customer service was probably the best I've ever dealt with. The camcorder I bought advertised a free case and when it didn't show up with the camera I called customer service. I was on hold for a grand total of about 3 minutes and my case was in their system and being sent to me in less than 6 minutes from the time I placed the call.

Also I thought there was an issue when I first placed the order and it didn't ship out, but sales actually placed a hold on my order so that they could call me and tell me the battery that came with my camera would only last about 90 minutes or something like that. I ended up buying one of their recommended (4 hour) batteries at a discount (like $30 off) as a combo deal with the camera.

Photo Loon really cares about keeping your business and they have gone way above and beyond my expectations so far. I will definitely continue to do business with them in the future, and I suggest you do the same before the rest of the world finds out about Photo Loon and they have too much business and too little time to make all this extra effort.

This is without a doubt the best online shopping experience I have ever had.

"Stay away, they claim to have the product in stock just to get you to order and call, then if you don't buy any extras they cancel the order.So,you lose couple of days.It's a typical bait/switch. Don't believe the positive reviews,too good to be true.The lens I was looking for still shows as "in stock",but they don't have it.Not for the advertised price.They are fake,just like their names.Sorry.I'm glad I got the cancelation in writing,in case they charge my CC. Be safe."

"I was disappointed in this seller because the product I ordered was listed as in stock Online but was actually out of stock. Further, they did not call me to inform me of this. I did not find out that the item was out of stock until I called them to see where my product was when it never arrived in the mail. I ended up canceling my order and ordering the same product from a different company, Butterfly Photo. I was pleased with Butterfly Photo."

"I couldn't be happier.. Ordered a Canon T1i camera package and some extra accessories for my wife to take on our upcoming five-week vacation to Europe. The only problem I had was with my credit card company, and Photo Loon notified me immediately that the bank had turned down authorization, then they were extremely persistent and patient with me while I resolved a "hold" for potential fraudulent activity with the bank. Ordered the package with 3-day air delivery, it came the second day and my wife was ecstatic when the FedEx truck showed up at the door. The follow-up was good prior to confirmation and processing of the order, no attempting to push unnecessary accessories, etc.. They had the best price on the web for the package that I was looking for.. All new equipment in boxes directly from the manufacturer, as advertised.. So now, we’re going to shoot pictures of historic castles in Germany and Austria - leave in about ten days..

I will definitely revisit Photo Loon the next time I am in the market for additional camera equipment.

"I was a bit skeptical before ordering, as the prices were significantly lower at Photo Loon then other (well-known) stores for their merchandise. However, they offered a reasonable return policy so I figured if anything was wrong I can always return it. I spoke to a sales rep who was knowledgeable and helped me consider the most appropriate accessories for my Canon Rebel XS. My lens was promptly sent to me and I have not had any issues with it. I would definetley order from Photo Loon again. "

"Read the reviews and checked with Nikon first. Parent company Photomania IS an authorized Nikon dealer. My conversation wtih them regarding a Nikon lens was straight up. They were helpful at PhotoLoon and hid nothing. I did not end up buying the lens because it was non-US stock, but they were up-front about that. I would definitely call them again on a future order."

"I ordered a new Nikon D700. My purchase was event-free. Due to the cost of the order the company made a confirmation phone call (Which I appreciate).
The camera was shipped quickly, packed well and I was provided a tracking number without having to ask.
All in all, A very pleasant shopping experience.
