"They have people working here who can’t even dress nice themselves. But they pick things that are absolutely horrible. I also feel because my items were more plus size they did not take them. They told me they were being “selective”. But the girl before and after me did not get the same speech. They have items especially shirts that are so old and look like they are meant for dish wipes.
My items were ALL name brand with tags and clean. NEVER AGAIN."
"If I could give below one I would. I brought two giant bags of clothes that had a wide variety of clothes in them. THEY TOOK ONE OLD ZIP UP HOODIE!! That was it. I had stuff that I had just bought from Marshall’s and pac sun and only worn once in the past year and they told me that if it was older than 2016 they don’t take it... well I bought it this year. Absolutely ridiculous - if you’re trying to sell stuff. Not worth it at all, better off selling on your own or just donating. It was comical how much nice brand name stuff I had and they took one zip up hoodie that I’m pretty sure I’ve had since 2008 "
"I go in and the cashier compliments my items , when i come back she has some lame reasons my stuff wasnt wanted 3/30 items was it. I had tons of cute stuff listed on their website yet it wasnt good enough, they are very misleading and wasted my time i DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL... "i finally cleaned out my closet and found a lot of cute clothes that didn’t fit me anymore. i decided to bring the clothes to plato’s closet. i also had a lot of other clothes to bring in that i never really wore. i had some really nice clothing from abercrombie and american eagle. i also had a very nice new dark blue leather jacket from wet seal. so in total i had three full big bags of clothing. so i walk in there and give them the clothes excitedly bc i thought that i would be making a lot of extra cash. when i return to the store and ask them for my bags. they gave me three full bags of clothing and said that they were sorry but all the clothes in the bags were too old even tho most were from the past year! then on the way out of the store i see one of the shirts that were in my bag from hollister on the racks. i still had mine which meant that they didn’t take it but what i don’t understand is why would they not take mine if they have the same one on the racks?! this was the worst shopping experience of my life the store is also all messy and the employees were not helpful at all. "

"I cleaned ju closet & decided to take my things to this place to sell. Silly me!!! I had 4 pair of shoes, 3 of them being rand new name brand shoes w the tags, more than 10 pairs of pants, 10 plus skirts, jackets...si much stuff in very nice condition. They offered me $20!! What a freaking joke this place is. First of all the crap they have for sale looks terrible & is way over priced. Anyway, I'd rather donate my clothes than to let them RIP me for what it's worth. And the young girls in there are not friendly to people that have never done this before. Better CS is needed. "

"The Grab bag event first of all they don’t tell you it’s clearance crap no one wants and your suppose to fit it in the tiniest bag for $15. They won’t let you try on tops for the event. Some of their stuff is stained and in bad shape. And nothing worth filling a bag with. "
"I initially took in exactly 170 items, ×1 stuffed large duffle bag, and ×2 stuffed shopping bags . 30 jeans with original price tags, shorts, shoes, tanks, etc. $11.35 / 4 items And $35.78 / 7 items. My husband and I saw every item that they did purchase. That's 11 items ... What they gave back to me was was 74 items with extra empty bags stuffed into my duffle bag.. Where's the rest of my items at?? ... I WANT ANSWERS FOR THIS UNHONESTY OR I WILL TAKE FURTHER LEGAL ACTIONS. WHAT KIND OF UNTRUSTWORTHY EMPLOYEES DO YOU HAVE WORKING

"Let's just say I'm not pleased. I was in the store for about an hour trying on clothes when I finally decided on 4 decent items that actually fit past my thighs. Looking around I tried on some sandals and was wearing a pair of my own in which I decided not to put the buckles back on. As I headed for checkout the dude leaves suddenly to go discuss something with a female in the back only to come back and question and interrogate me on "stealing". He made me remove my sandals saying, "a pair went missing when someone went into the dressing room" only to find that he was wrong. Me having realllly bad anxiety felt super embarrassed and put on the spot. He then starts questioning if I have anything in my relatively small purse and I say no. How embarrassed was I? Wow I can't even say. I left and my phone wasnt with me so as I come back and ask for it the guy says, "Yeah a gentleman brought it up good thing for honest customers" as if I was being dishonest. Way to make my second time there very welcoming. My anxiety was out of the roof with all the questioning and putting me in the spot in front of random people. Really contemplating about going back. "

That's gold for these stores. And brand new name tag Michael kors shoes. I just wants them to get a good home for a few bucks. Mind boggled what there mission is.
