Everyone here I spoke to actually took their time to help me out, and even contacted me personally if something happened to the order, and gave me status updates, where my laptop was, on top of giving me the tracking number from UPS, which was awesome, because I wound up leaving for a bit. "My dad and I researched laptops with Intel's i7-2720QM (and above) processor for a little over a month before settling on Sager's NP8170. The question then was where to buy. After narrowing a list of over 30 companies down to 14 possibilities, I checked BBB scores and longevity along with ResellerRatings.com. It didn't take long to discern that PowerNotebooks.com is a leader with a wide variety of configurable quality laptops at very competitive prices. I called before purchasing to ask about a few more details and Donald's answers came from experience. Also, I was not talked into more than I needed -- quite the opposite: where I was thinking of getting additional hard drive space, the discussion of my regular usage led to a less expensive option. I wish I could say I'm a gamer so as to speak to that aspect of things. The machine is for a broad scope of software engineering purposes, and it's amazingly fast! There was a short pause in the delivery schedule due to a specification change at Sager about which I was promptly notified. The change, as it turned out in this case, resulted in a lower price, some of which we used to further upgrade the memory from DDR3/1333 to DDR3/1600. The machine arrived on time and in perfect condition. The folks on the phone were all pleasant, knowledgeable, and helpful. I can't say enough nice things about PowerNotebooks.com. They are a benchmark for quality in my book!"
