"The reason I purchased my laptop from powernotebooks.com was that a friend of mine bought theirs from them, and had a wonderful experience. They said they had excellent customer service and great products. Well, I have to agree that they do have excellent customer service. They have been very courteous in every phone call and email, and have upgraded me to 2nd day air shipping and included free AS5. As far as the laptop, I cannot comment on it. I ordered the laptop on 6/25/07. When I ordered it, I got an email saying the laptop would be shipped early to mid July. I ordered the laptop so I could take it on trip with me August 4th. Well, the third week in July came, and nothing. So I email, and they say the last week in July. I email back in the last week in July after hearing nothing, and I get an email back saying I may get it the second week in August, but they aren't sure. It's very frustrating, after ordering it over a month ago, not to have it. And I know it isn't powernotebook.com's fault (atleast I don't believe it is), but I was expecting to get this atleast 6 weeks after I ordered it for my trip.

After talking to Ron on the phone he explained to me that the manufacturers have been delaying the parts, so it is indeed a problem with them.

"I ordered the Sager NP2090 from PowerNotebooks.com and it was a very good experience. The laptop itself was delayed a few weeks because of production problems, neither PowerNotebooks' fault nor Sager's, but Compal's. But in any event, Ron Baird had gladly provided me with quick email replies, telling me of the current status of the order.
When the laptop did come, it worked very well, just as promised. There were no problems at all, no dead pixels and all of the components were working as they should.
Would do business with powernotebooks again.

"Ordering a notebook through powernotebooks.com has been a very pleasant and satisfying experience.Their customer service is over and above any I have experienced before. They live up to the expression, "they'll do whatever it takes" to provide 100% customer satisfaction. You feel very confident after placing an order that you've made the right decision.
I had an issue with my order (to no fault of powernotebooks.com)which was rectified immediately. They stand by their product 1000%.
To order notebooks, laptops or accessories through another company would be doing an injustice to oneself. I highly recommend them to anyone in the market.

"I have to say that I have had one of the best experiences ever with this company. For my preorder, they personally called me on a few occasions regarding questions I had, and all email was responded to very promptly, usually in a few hours time. I really didn't think you could get this kind of service anymore. No outsourced tech support, no pressure, and no nonsense. Not only that, but they offer excellent prices. "Very quick and efficient. Very helpful! Very happy with our computers. I've made two laptop purchases from PowerNotebooks.com after seeing really high ratings. My first purchase in Feb. of 2006 was the computer I am still typing on today. My husband got a 15.4" laptop, both of them were Crown models. They have both been amazing workhorses, and were delivered exactly as promised. The people at PowerNotebooks were great and friendly to work with during the sales process, for updates during shipping and in the 3 times I've had to call for support they've been able to help me immediately and not make me feel stupid when it was actually silly things.My Dsl provider was not very helpful, but Matt at Tech support knew immediately what the problem was and helped me thru it. He was great!! My build and shipping was expedited the first time, and all went well. I was wary of the off-brands, but can't say how pleased I am. I highly recommend Powernotebooks.com!!!"

"I felt very comfortable purchasing a laptop from them. I had no problems placing my order, which was for the PowerPro G 3:8. I built the system to my own specifications, and I got my laptop in an expedient fashion in pristine condition. I've had the laptop for over a year now and had no problems with it. I've run Windows XP Pro and SUSE Linux 10 on it without issue. I've never had an issue requiring an RMA or had an OS problem I could not resolve myself. Drivers are up to date and available for download from the Powernotebooks website. The system has no overheating issues, it runs quiet, the speakers are strong for such small laptop fair, there are plenty of USB ports, and the LCD is crisp and clear. I've had a thoroughly pleasant experience purchasing and using my PowerPro G 3:8. Whenever someone says they're going to buy a laptop, I suggest Powernotebooks.com."

"Having bought several notebooks from powernotebooks.com for different people before, I was comfortable ordering a laptop for my mother from them. Having spoken with the people there and having them boast to me about their excellent customer service and service plans, I was willing to pay a premium to buy from them. I have been very disappointed. To begin with the doc was broken when we got the package. It took quite a bit of arguing to get them to replace it, as they claimed we should dispute with the shipping company. Now to the laptop itself, for about two months it was great. Worked really well, and really fit the bill. On all the laptops I have ordered before from Powernotebooks, I had never had any problems, so I had no reason to doubt their claims to having great service. It turns out however, that this laptop is a lemon… after about two and a half months, it just stopped working… wouldn’t boot to windows. Knowing a bit about computers, I ran a checkdisk, and found bad sectors. We called customer service and told them this. After several hours on the phone, they finally agreed to service the computer. Since the entire point of buying from Powernotebooks was to have easy access to customer service, I was really disappointed by the difficulty of getting them to agree to fix the computer, frankly I felt rather lied to. I was however willing to just be happy they were going to fix the computer. But as I am sure you have guessed from this story so far… they didn’t. They have been extremely difficult to deal with, took a week to send back a laptop to us, despite the promise of a rapid turnaround. What’s worse, they did nothing more than reformat the hdd… so of course, it died again. I have never felt so hoodwinked in my life. For a company that prides themselves on their Christian values, they sure are dishonest and unwilling to do anything for their customers. It’s too bad because I had really enjoyed recommending them to people and touting their claims of great service… now I will have to find someone else."
