"OK, this is a real review. If you’re like me, you want the best price, but you’re scared of some fly-by-night place operating out of a PO Box that’s maybe selling gray-market items that don’t come with a real US warranty (since those items weren’t manufactured to US standards). So these reviews are important. But can you trust them? I rejected one plasma TV site that had very high ratings on one site because all of their reviews were about the same length and had the same tone – not the same words at all, but they sounded as though they had the same author.
The bottom line is that Rainbowtronics appears to be the real deal, a legitimate place. I got a 50” Panasonic plasma TV from them and am happy with it and with them. I do have some minor complaints. First, after I placed my order, they called to confirm (no problem there), and told me that there would be an extra charge for delivery to my residence (what a rarity that someone would want that!) and another mandatory extra charge for insurance. One of the charges was $60 and one was $80; I forget which was which. So that felt wrong, but I realize that advertising a price $140 higher is bound to lose them a huge number of sales, so I can understand it and even partially forgive it. (What would I do in their shoes? Be totally honest and come in last?) Of course, they also tried to push an extended warranty on me, but I was firm and they weren’t offensive (though if you do want it, tell them no firmly, because at the end of the phone call they’ll offer it to you for a lot less!).
They also want you to fax in your credit card information (I understand the need for that), but unfortunately when they sent the info to the credit card company they got the expiration date wrong, which not only brought the order to a standstill but crashed my credit card account! Fortunately, that was quickly fixed, and everything went smoothly after that."

This seller claims to provide extra accessories, faster shipping, etc...IF you leave positive feedback...before the item is even shipped. I understand people doing it...but it sure makes it harder for others to pick through the ratings.
After I called to 'confirm' and declined all of the things that 'Morris' thought I was crazy not to buy (extended warranty, etc), I was passed on to 'Zach' for an even harder sale. Eventually, I was able to decline everything all over again. At the very end, I was informed that there would be a $280 insurance charge...on top of the $229 shipping charge. No Thanks...Find another fool you can make your commission on."

"RUN SCREAMING! I am doing everything I can to STOP people from buying through these mafioso CROOKS!!! I was straight-up scammed - the camera was not new, so I sent it back with all accessories. They sent the same one back, this time with no accessories. According to them I never sent accessories back. Now I either eat the whole cost or eat the refund incurring their 15% restocking fee, despite their fraudulent claims of new (3,400 photos taken with this one) and US warranty (Japanese warranty already sent in).
