"After reading the comments here, I decided to deal with the sales pitch and buy from them. As expected, they called me to verify my credit card number, then tried to sell me various accessories. I bargained with them on a warranty and eventually they actually got it down to a price that I liked, so - something I never, ever do - I added a warranty on. They had me fax in authorization, but that only took ten minutes at a copy center, and I can understand why they might be paranoid with ultra-high-end TVs. The TV was mailed, and besides a small SNAFU that delayed delivery by a few days, everything came out fine.
In the end, TV plus shipping plus warranty came out to hundreds of dollars less than TV without warranty *or* shipping from the other places I was looking. It appears to be in new and perfect condition. No complaints.
If you can handle the hard sell - and it's not even that hard of a sell - I recommend these people. They're salesmen, but they're not slimy.
The only issue I had is that *any* question requires you to call them, even if you've already gone through the hard-sell process. But that's a minor irritant at worst."

"Do not buy from this company. I have never posted a negative review of any company before, but this finally made me decide to do it. I ordered an item from them, the web site said it was available. Within 2 hours I got an email from them saying that the item was on back order for 4-6 weeks. For the next week, I would go to their site daily and the item continued to say available.
Their email stating it was on backorder said to reply to that email with my order number if I wanted to cancel the order. I tried this SEVERAL times only to get a form response telling me to call customer service. I tried calling customer service and the number got me a representative for US AIR. I sent more emails and continued to get the "please call our service department" form email. I finally tried calling again and was finally able to cancel the order.
Also, two days after I tried to place the order I noticed that the price went up from $350 on the itme to $450. I think that they did not want to honor an incorrect price or something. Either way, I cannot recommend purchasing from RainbowTronics.com."

"At first I was apprehensive of this kind of vendor because of the negative reviews I had read and the shady practices of camera vendors from Brooklyn. In fact, I had just canceled an order with another vendor after talking with them on the phone and reading about them online.
I still did not want to give up on online deals and Rainbow had a decent deal available. Of course, they told me to give them a call to confirm the order and tried to sell me accessories and extended warranty, both of which I politely declined.
At the end of a brief 3-4 minute call, the sales guy said that he was charging me $$$ more than I had ordered the camera for. I was immediately a little angry at the guy, when he said "Relax, I was just joking." Indeed he was.
A few days later, the camera arrived in its original glory and with all the paraphernalia. I have been using the camera till date and have no complaints whatsoever with the merchant.
Would I go back to buy from them? Well - I will definitely check in with them again!"
