"I purchased a card and utilized a promo code. The promo code successfully applied, with the discount showing the order summary before checking out and was reflected in the final price. However, after checkout, I was incorrectly charged for the full price of the card (without the promo code). I felt deceived, so I spoke with customer service over live chat. Piper was easily the worst customer representative I have had, as she neglected my issue and simply cited policy. Apparently my order somehow did not qualify for the promo code, but this was never stated to me, neither before or after checkout. I only knew because the price I was charged was incorrect. I tried explaining how I checked out with one price displayed, only to be charged a different price, but Piper did not care and did not mind losing my business or the fact that the seller would be out both their money and their card if I was forced to issue a chargeback to get my refund. I offered multiple suggestions, whether it was a full refund, me paying the original price with a partial refund, or receiving credit for a future order."

"I purchased two Cracker Barrel gift cards late last year to be used on an upcoming trip in March 2017. Upon receipt, I checked both cards of their amounts. Both were fine. However, when I tried to use both cards, I found that both had zero balances!
I used Raise's online feature to report the issue. I received a notice for one of the cards stating that I would be receiving a refund. I needed to contact them as to how I would prefer to receive it. I called and spoke to Mason who was very supportive and helpful. He even noticed that I had another pending refund, checked on it, and noted that this card also qualified for a full refund.
Although going through a situation like this is nerve wreaking and annoying, knowing that Raise has a full one year refund policy and having a fantastic customer service staff, makes a person feel so much better. Thank you Mason!"

Update: Raise replied to my review and customer service contacted me. If I could take away another star, I would. Their solution was for me to take my eGift Card into the store and request a history, take a photograph with my smartphone and e-mail it to them. Sound straightforward enough, but still an annoying waste of time. After spending an hour going to the store and asking for help, the store told me they cannot give records on eGift Cards (only physical), and I had to call in. I tried to call in, but Homedepot.com says they wouldn't provide one over the phone either. When I told Raise this, they just told me to go do what I already told them I can't do again. It is extremely frustrating.
HomeDepot is being very unhelpful in this regard, but from Raise's position it is all on me as the seller to prove my innocence. It appears to me that their business model facilities easy fraud by purchasers, without warning seller they may have no recourse and waste a lot of time trying to prove their innocence.
I will definitely not be using the website again."
