"Raise stole $173 from me. Unfortunately, this company has unethical and fraudulent practices. They have no customer support phone number and they claim Live Chat but I have never successfully used it.
Recently, I listed a ~$173 Best Buy gift card to be sold by Raise after it was 'approved' by their screening process. Two days later, it was sold and I was sent a congratulations email. Great!
Not so fast, a day after it sold they said there were no funds on the card and that they checked (after they approved it through the initial process).
I called Best Buy, and they informed me that the balance was cleared 10 minutes after it was sold on Raise and was used to purchase an Apple Watch in a state I don't live in. I presented this evidence to Raise in the 4th support ticket and this time they didn't even respond.
I filed a police report for the theft and will be pursuing all legal action possible. I do not recommend transacting with this company."
"Had a terrible experience with Raise.com. I bought a used Kohls gift card from them two weeks ago. However, when I tried to use it immediately after the purchase, the gift card was invalid and could not be used at Kohls. I contacted them immediately. At first, they denied that the gift card was invalid. Then after many emails with screenshots, they finally agreed it was invalid and agreed to refund me. However, after 2 weeks, I still have not received a penny of my refund from them. I contacted them many times but no response. Finally, after 10 emails, someone replied and said the transaction was reversed and there should be no charge. I then sent the person my credit card charge history. They just denied it was their transaction. After I sent them the screenshot of the email confirmations, they stopped responding. So, now, after 30+ emails, I still have not got my money back from them. NEVER buy any gift card from them. If anything goes wrong, you WON’T get your money back. Their so-called one year guarantee is a total joke."
"I bought an Outback gift card on Raise in late 2019 – pandemic hit, couldn’t use it for a while – finally went in 2022 and it’s invalid. Raise states 1-year guarantee passed. True – but it’s a pandemic – so it was invalid sometime during the time the restaurant wasn’t even available! Perhaps the credit card company will set them straight – we’ll see. Outback says don’t use fraudulent third party sellers like Raise. Lesson learned – if you can’t use it quickly or redeem it into an app – don’t buy it as it might be fraudulent!"
"Don't waste your time with this company. I sent endless message and even went to BBB Complaints. Raise will deactivate your account no reason whatsoever it's in they terms. They ask for your ID making it seem like you are getting your account back reinstated but no they want to steal your ID get a selfie and ban you. The customer service there is no customer service they won't help you at all. First time purchase I was deactivated because my card didn't go through. I told them the reason it was a new credit card I got like most credit card the 3 security code on the back but Amex security code is on the front etc so they said all I need to do was verify my ID. I sent my ID and Selfie everything match my card name everything.... Sent me a email saying "internal security not going to activate your account and is final case close" .....they basically treated me like a criminal but didn't state what I did wrong.. I went over the terms and it just say they allow to just ban you with no cause at all... So save your time don't bother.. they mentally drained me the experience was very awful."

"Usually, I don't leave reviews, but when I have a bad experience, I let others know. Around 1;30 AM, I ordered two gift cards. The same day, I received a verification message asking for my ID. Anyway, they told me to contact a live agent. It took me 10 minutes to contact a live agent.. Once connected it took the agent six seconds to disconnect, REALLY? I contacted again and asked to just cancel it, The rep didn't bother to ask me what the reason for my disappointment was, simply saying "OK" and I stated I would be refunded. This is how RAISE.com treated their customers, I would never use them again. Even though I've had bad experiences with many companies, I've never experienced bad customer service like this.

"I had been their customer from 2017 and placed about 200 orders with them, but since last year, they STARTED to send me $0 gift cards, so when I tried to contact them, like many of customers here, I couldn't get them on the phone, neither answered my emails, so I had to dispute the transactions with my credit card company. Then, I noticed they suspended my account because I made the disputes!! I also had to make a new account because I no longer have access to my old phone number. Don't waste your money and time. There are many discounted gift card sellers out there who have a much higher discounts on their gift cards, sellers like cardcookie.com cardcash.com ejgiftcards.com all are legit and have a great customer service."
"Do yourself a favor. Try calling the company, using their chat option, or emailing them. You'll quickly see that it's impossible to reach them. When you get gift cards with a $0 balance, you are out of luck because they won't do anything for you despite their "guarantee policy." Because of defrauding people, the company needs to shut down permanently by the government. "
"Well go ahead if you dont mind getting ripped off. I purchased $100 worth of AMC movie gift cards. 4 days later when I went to redeem them, all that was available was $5.48. I immediately initiated a request for a refund. They apparently needed a ridiculous 10 days. 15 days after not 1 email or response, I sent another email. Again not 1 response. I initiated a chat 17 days into this and the response I got was appalling. Apparently they will take their "Brand's" word over yours. In my case the "Brand" told Raise the gift cards were used while I had them. Thus Raise then needs PROOF you didn't use them. Be prepared for a wild circus where you either will get so frustrated with the lack of responses or the requirements to PROVE you didn't use the cards. OR just die of anger over it. Either way are going to win and you are going to lose."
