"Shipped two brake rotors back in one box, mistake I made and I understand the cost, BUT only getting credit for 1. No one to contact, I can't find an email, phone number, nothing. This is after I convinced the company I work for to try Rockauto. Guess what, they lost me as a customer, they didn't get a new customer, and after talking to my two brothers they lost two more customers. I asked my brothers to spread the word."
"First make no mistake, their warranty is worth nothing, if they ship you the wrong part or in my case defective parts (a pair lower control arms) they will charge you higher shipping cost for the replacement parts and even higher shipping cost for the parts you return, to a point that it is not worth it. In my case, the shipping cost was about $40 for two control arms, then it cost me about $70 when I ordered one replacement under warranty and then they wanted to charge me about $110 to ship the defective part back to them. In addition, they don’t bother indicating on the shipping label that these are replacement parts therefore you are paying sales taxes all over again. And all this doesn’t include that you have to reinstall the part which in my case I was lucky to be able to do it myself but a mechanic would have charged me an extra $300.
They ended up making profits on the 3 parts I got from them and I had to pay $267 on top of the original cost of $430 to get the third part under warranty.
I predict that they won’t stay in business another decade, online business is tough if you don’t take care of your customers
I got my lesson, I won’t deal with them anymore.

"I ordered parts on the basis of the discount I expected to receive from discount code. Website process for discount code is unclear, essentially you have to put a code in a box called “how did you hear about us.” You get a response that says thank you whether or not you entered the code correctly. Doesn’t say I code invalid so you assume discount will be applied later. Order goes through at full price and customer service says too bad, the discount code entered in the box wasn’t correct, so you’re charged full price even if you would not have purchased at that price. Dissatisfied with rockauto experience. "
"I have never really had a bad experience with RockAuto because their service is usually quite reliable and fast.
However, I had a bad experience when I ordered a part in Nov 2019. It has been shipped according to the site status but I am still waiting and have not received it up to today. The tracking nr is supposed to be of DHL and it is so long that DHL can't recongize it. ROCK AUTO totally refuses to take any responsibility or even to help in any way. It shows on invoice that it was shipped from Taiwan by Economy mail(consolidated) DHL Global Mail
The thing that is upsetting is that I am unable to contact them by phone or email or chat.
They keep saying that I should go on their site on the HELP column but there is no option for my problem.
I even tried to see if I could try with the warantee so I answered some of the questions and in the end was told that warranty was only for 30days. I am no longer eligible.

"I placed 3 large orders on January 8 at 2AM. I received 2 boxes with 10 items inside on January 10 2PM. According to FedEx tracking# the 3rd box will arrive on the 13th. I was under expectation that it would not come till the 16th. Each of the 3 boxes were shipped from different warehouses in US. Destination Winnipeg, Canada. I am very pleased. Items inside were well packaged including factory boxes and packing paper to prevent shifting. I will shop there again. "

"I ordered both trunk and hood struts for my 2006 Lexus LS430. I selected best Sachs because I thought they would be as close to OEM as my budget would allow. Trunk struts installed fine but the front struts had the wrong threaded studs, although the order stated "does not include studs". I thought I would just use the original Lexus studs again. The original studs are NOT removable from the strut and the Sachs studs were too large. I removed the trunk struts and sent both sets back for a full refund. My entire point is the "SACHS SG329043 Does not include Ball Studs" (copied from catalog) part number WILL NOT work in your 06 LS430. May work in other 430's, but not the 06 LS430."
"Fully loaded struts for Nissan Rogue installed by top garage in CT. Found struts resulted in poor, unsafe ride and had to remove them after installation! RockAuto won't refund the 2X$115 and has lost a decades long customer. NEVER PURCHASE FROM THESE A-HOLES!"
"Ordered 3 Raybestos brake hoses with brass fittings as shown in the pictures. Received china made hoses with plated steel fittings. I payed extra for the better hoses and received the usual china junk they now appear to be selling. You wonder why they have the best prices and now you know. I tried to call but there is NO phone number on the web site. I did find a number on the net and when I called I was told they don`t handle customer complaints by phone. I would have to go back to their web site and complain from there. No way to file a complaint from their web site."
"Same abysmal experience as many other reviewers, however I would like to add my own hysterically awful experience. A recent purchase from RA left me with a set of bait and switch strut mounts that appeared to have been crafted in a Chinese labor camp. Since they could not be installed I visited the RA returns page to survey my options. Reading the lengthy return policy I was struck by the..well biblical qualities of their copy. Like reneging on a deal with Satan, RA is quick to point out that you had free will to do the right thing and buy a "premium" part but since you, the customer are a wicked sinner and purchased an economy or worse a "close out" part all bets are off and now you can live with your foolish mistake as they deny all culpability. In their defense the market has been flooded with counterfeit and ultra low grade asian parts which could end up anywhere. However willfully putting the safety of their customers at risk with defective parts is unconscionable."
