"Recently spent approximately $700 in what was supposed to be quality products at wholesale prices.
Received a water pump that had heavy scouring in the gasket seating area that looked like someone gouged it with a grinder wheel. Returned the defective part for another water pump, received an AC Delco water pump that had bent gaskets and missing heater core pipe plug which I've never seen in previous purchases locally for the same product.
ordered a high quality, not cheap, set of DENSO OE spark plug wires, DEFECTIVE, not under warranty, first pull on the wire boot when trying to remove the pug wire, the aluminum terminal inside the wire boot separated from the wire and the aluminum terminal remained on the tip off the spark plug. I looked down inside the boot and seen the wire but no terminal....... Ended up going local to purchase another wore set, WASTE OF MONEY!
After spending 5 hours in my 100 degree garage in Arizona replacing defective spark plug wires twice, I thought to myself, " Rock Auto ships very fast because they have venders everywhere, kinda like Ebay". You don't know where your parts are coming from and with soo many venders working for Rock Auto, how do you know that you aren't receiving knock off or defective products? Who's controlling this stuff? Sure the prices are great but, so far its been a headache receiving defective parts that I wouldn't pay 1/2 the price Rock Auto is asking for. Shop local man! Someone sends a defective part back to Rock Auto, who is inspecting that part and is that person certified to inspect the specific part to determine quality, resale, functionality, performance?
Rock Auto may have good prices and a lot of products to choose from but, in my experience recently, I'm afraid to shop on Rock Auto. It's like shopping at Ebay now days.
Try sending Rock Auto an email about a problem with a part not under warranty! it's not just a click of the mouse button, you really have to sit there on their website and try and figure out how to communicate a defective part received not under warranty There's no option to communicate with Rock Auto for a part not under warranty! Buyer Beware! Red Flag! No warranty means no warranty which means they don't want the part back and they don't want to talk to you about it. Worse than Ebay!
I'm shopping local from now on, tired of receiving junk parts and having to deal with sending it back because the vender just wanted to get rid of it, etc... Shop local, walk in the store, look at the part, if it looks defective, put your money away, say NO, and drive to the next store. Better than sending parts back and forth in the mail, trying to talk to someone about a defective part not under warranty, etc.. TOTAL WASTE OF TIME! Even if it is under warranty, they will send you another part when you purchase another part, but who wants to play this game of, "I wonder if the next part coming is going to be defective, did someone try to install it, damage it, and now they are trying to re-sell it", I'm done!

"RockAuto.com is a fantastic company
Genuine OEM Mopar parts for 2014 Chrysler Grand Voyager 2.8 CD-R
Not only did they have the parts cheaper then anywhere else, they had the updated Version which works fantastically.
I had the common fault with Chrysler where the wipers came on when they were off
The cluster lights played up and was doing all sorts of things
The windows wouldn’t go up
The horrible ding ding ding while your driving
The Speedo and rev counter would work
After replacing the Blind Spot Modules, all the problems stopped
The Dodge Caravan and Chrysler Town and Country also use the same Modules
Product Code 68252465AB
Fast delivery to the U.K.
I found communising with Rock Auto very easy and they always reply.

"Bought parts for my truck. Needed a clutch master and slave cylinder so I saw where there had them on Rockauto.com. since I had ordered from them in the past with success I decided to go with them again. Parts arrived a day late but I figured with all this covid19 stuff goin on, a day was not too bad. I proceeded to open the box to be sure all parts were there. At first I thought I was missing the push rod that was to come with the kit. I figured I would call them and just check. Found out no phone number, just email only.
Left email message for them to respond including a ph #.
Never heard back. It got worse. I actually found the part then proceeded to install. After installation BOTH parts I ordered, the clutch slave/master and window latch malfunctioned within the first couple of hours of use. JUNK, total JUNK. Tried to get a return RMA but the website would not issue it, rather it would get to a certain step in the return process, get the spinning clock, NOTHING.
Done with this company. Scam is what they are. I will deal local."
"Always had great success with Rock Auto until my most recent order. Ordered a rotor kit and pads. The rotor kit was shipped and showed delivered, however the package I received was 1 of 1, and only 1 rotor was inside. I was pleased with the website's direction to remedy the issue. Within hours I had an email response informing me that the missing part would be sent to me. Unfortunately, it could not be delivered until after the weekend I had planned to install the parts. Nevertheless, the process was simple and it was remedied. Due to not having time to install after that weekend, I coordinated with a local garage to install the rotors and pads. Got a call from the garage in the morning that the pads are incorrect. I double checked my order, I ordered the correct pads, but what was delivered was the wrong part (wasn't even for my year truck). Filed a new claim against this and found out that new pads could not be sent until the old were returned. Due to the inconvenience of the order, I asked for an exception to get me out of a bind. I was not willing to wait a week to 10 days to get the pads. Zero willingness to entertain another solution. I deal with customers every day, and there's always a " win / win" if there is a willing participant. It's apparent that a few $1000 over the next 20 years is not important to them. Thank you Amazon for hooking me up! "
"Tried to return some parts that were the wrong ones for the vehicle I order for and they refuse to exchange. Their system picked the part numbers based an my vehicle type and the were wrong and didn't fit. They would not exchange nor give me a opinion to discuss with someone. I had to file a complaint with the BBB...
Very poor rating from me, I will not be using them again unless it gets resolved through the complaint."
"I have a Damon 28 foot motor home built on a Ford E-350 cutaway van. Recently, 1 of my serpentine belts started screeching at startup then for several seconds afterwards. I inspected them and determined which of the 2 belts was worn and showing signs of damage. I ordered a replacement for a 1995 Ford E-350 with the same engine size. I ordered on a Friday evening and received it on the following Monday morning, it was 4 days earlier than the promised date. It was fairly easy to remove and replace and it was an exact fit for the OEM belt. No more screeching at start up. Also the piece of mind that I won't be stranded if it breaks on the road is priceless, it was certainly worth the effort. not sure what it would have cost to have someone else do it, but this only set me back $22.00. Usually, I have to take it to a commercial vehicle service garage, and they aren't cheap."
"I purchased a 2017 Ford Escape Tail Light Assembly. Aside from the cost (which was the least expensive I found) the assembly was swapped out in less than 10 minutes. It fit and functions perfectly. Yes it came with bulbs installed.

"I purchased a cabin air filter for 2018 Toyota Camry using their website it does not fit I took pictures video showing that this is what they recommend and what they sent me an even on their invoice it says it’s for 2018 Toyota Camry and yet it wasn’t and they want me to pay the shipping to send it back I will never buy from rock auto again and will try to inform as many people"
"I purchased a 100 dollar part and it came defective. (Verified by the Ford dealership)
Samual from crap auto said I have to pay for shipping to get another one even though the first one never did function. Then I was told I also can't get my money back. Only a replacement if I pay for shipping. This company had no idea what customer service is.
Wish I would have read reviews first. Nothing but negative reviews from across the board for similar reasons from third party sites. But if you look at rockauto.clm site, nothing but good reviews. Try leaving a review on there site. You can't.
Good luck trying to get a warranty replacement. There is NO warranty after they have your many.
They care more about 12 dollar shipping then keeping a customer."
"The right parts delivered to the door. I will buy again from RockAuto. "
"I ordered over $1,700 worth of parts and had 7 items that I did not use. When I tried to return them, I ended up having 4 different warehouses that I needed to return them to. I could not simply return all items to one place. The return shipping charges (YES, RETURN SHIPPING CHARGES) was going to cost me about half of what my refund was going to be. I guess I will just keep these 7 items and take my business back to the local box stores (Advance Auto, O'Reilly's, NAPA, etc). I should have just bought from them to begin with but wanted to try Rockauto. I won't be back. NOTE: I HAD TO PAY SHIPPING TO GET THEM AND THEN RETURN SHIPPING TO RETURN THE PARTS I DID NOT NEED TO 4 DIFFERENT RETURN WAREHOUSES. THIS LANGUAGE IS ON THE RETURN INSTRUCTIONS: "Returning parts to a different address will result in additional charges, or may cause the item to be lost.""
"Pay attention to the warranty. I ordered a thermostat housing which is described as fitting my vehicle and the receipt matches my vehicle engine, year, model, etc. Now I have a perfectly good part that will fit someone's vehicle, but because I did not get around to replacing it in time I am left with it and the cost of it. "
"I, too, would give a " 0 " if possible. They will not admit they sent wrong parts even though the parts were not even close to what I needed. Then, they will not refund cost of parts plus shipping because they are too arrogant to admit wrong! A BAD BUSINESS WITH HORRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICES!!! I filed a complaint with BBB to no avail, as they offered NO reasonable resolution."
"Walmart and other stores have a longer warranty then Rock Auto. It's like buying from the government you have to fill out paperwork and wait for nothing to get done. I will not be buying from Rock Auto again. A 30 day return policy is rediculous. Buy from someone that gives you more time to find out that a part is bad. And then you have to go through so much to get a warranty from the factory. Times are tough now and people work hard for there money. Buy elsewhere. Even Walmart has a longer return period then this. What a joke!!!"
"Ordered parts for my Subaru on RockAuto thinking I was getting cheaper prices... My package ends up being "Delivered" both by RockAuto & FedEx however, I never received any parts. Contacted both the customer service of RockAuto and FedEx where they claimed they were 'investigating' it... STILL did not receive my parts and now Rock Auto is not offering replacement parts OR a refund. And YES the information I filled out on the website was 100% correct.
NEVER purchasing anything here ever again."
