"I have purchased from RA a few times before with little to no problems. But my recent purchase will be my last. I ordered a part on 11/19, got a tracking number, went online to track package that USPS says item not received from sender. It's been 7 days, I'm only 80 miles from the USPS (carrier). I could have rode a bicycle to the carrier and back with my package if : "ROCK AUTO WOULD HAD ACTUALLY SHIPPED THE PACKAGE". This is my stopping point with this company !! They've dropped the ball and trying to blame USPS (carrier). "
"I had to return 2 lift supports shipped to me in one box. Rock Auto doesn't allow you to return more than 1 item in a box and makes you pay separate shipping for 2 boxes. I mailed 2 back in 1 box and they refuse to credit me for the second one!! First time I've had a problem with them."

"I liked the prices, delivery, and getting the correct parts with my first order . My second order got me a defective Monroe strut assembly i had to return for a replacement, but they're covering the shipping on that. I'm frosted about their sending a stabilizer bar link wrongly labeled as fitting my vehicle, but it clearly doesn't and they are charging me shipping! If i knew ahead of time their policy was to punish customers for mistakes they didn't make, i wouldn't have ordered from them. Also, the part they shipped, despite having the correct number on it, doesn't even look like the part in their online catalogue. They have a phone line to let you know they won't actually talk to a customer.
Their ratings have plummeted within the last year and even six-months from their overall rating. "
"i bought an oil dipstick for my vehicle, after seeing the picture,that was it. Gets delivered to my house, i can tell by the size of the box its wrong. i open it and of course it is. i call to make it right, I'm told by some smartass that they don't sell that part, I pled my case sayin that they show a picture of it. he says again they don't sell that part ,ok,then why did you sent me the wrong part? i get nothing but bs from him.Now they want me to send it back at MY expense.They knew they sent me the wrong one,wtf! "Purchased brake calipers from Rock Auto for my 2000 Camry. Both failed within 6 months, destroying the brake pads and the rotors. Got a refund on the rotors, but no help on the pads or the rotors, not even an offer of discounted replacement parts.
Then, returning the calipers, I returned them to the address provided by RockAuto, along with the required documentation. The warehouse worker couldn't find the documentation in the box, call me with a snotty attitude asking me why I returned them with no documentation, and then decided I returned them to the wrong warehouse and charged me the cost to send them to the correct warehouse. Subsequent emails to customer wervice were replied with same snotty attitude. Unbelievable.
Don't buy anything from them. They take you money, give you crap parts, then hide behind email only customer service. Arrogant, ignorant, cowards."
"Bad new strut from Rockauto.com caused me to replace other parts as possible causes of clunking noise. No help available from rockauto. Found the manufacturer had not tightened the main nut holding the spring in place and that was causing the clunk. By that time I had bought control arms, stabilizer links, tie rod ends, stabilizer bushings, and ball joints from rock auto trying to fix the problem. Wrote them a letter and they did call to tell me basically "too bad, so sad", we can do nothing about that. So, don't buy anything from rockauto unless: you want no help line help, and you are prepared to eat the price or tear your part out after it doesn't work and pay to return it."
"Purchased a catalytic converter which didn't meet my vehicles specifications. They would not let me return the item for a different brand as the brand I bought was insufficient. They gave no recourse, the only option was to buy the exact same brand, and at their discretion they would tell me if the first unit was de-faulty. Will never purchase another item from them nor recommend their service."
"Ill never buy parts from this company again. Purchased a lares power steering pump from them and a lares gearbox from advanceauto. The gearbox almost immediately started leaking at the shaft. Upon inspection the shaft was pitted so I returned it for another and the exact same problem with the second one so I bought a different brand of pump. Once installed the lares power steering pump was failing to supply enough pressure to support the gearbox in low rpm so I attempted to return it for a refund but low in behold you can only get your money back within 30 days even if the company sells worthless junk. Why would I want a replacement of a part that doesn't work? How about you do right by your customers and check into the companies that supply your parts.

"I have previously ordered from rockauto with little problems. This time around it a fn joke. All of a sudden they won't ship to my address because of some bs tax issue of them not "being physically in my city to be able to pay taxes" so they won't ship here now. So I tried to ship to a friend's next city over, same issue. I live in a suburb of Denver. So I try to ship to another friend's house actually in Denver. Seems to be ok until payment. Then the address on my CC doesn't match the address im trying to send my shipment too so no go there. What in the actual ****!?!?!!? They lost my business!!!!"
"I ordered brake parr’s for my 1996 XJ Cherokee off RA site.
Ordered rear hubs which were fine but the spring kits didn’t arrive?
Ordered front caliphers and pads and rotors two sets which arrived but don’t/won’t fit in any combination.
Contacted RockAuto which isn’t easy and they emailed reply saying they aren’t responsible for fitting parts. I said but the parts advertised fit In ok but they don’t function properly and the supposed upgraded pads were disentigratjng after two weeks. We took the whole setup off and put the original stuff back on and it all worked fine again.
Very dangerous they didn’t bother to follow up my queries.
