I will not order anything from these people anymore. They shipped me the wrong part and I had to pay to ship it back that is not how you conduct business and think you are going to keep customers. "I purchased 2 door handles from Rock Auto and I had a choice of purchasing them for $7 each or $47 each. Since I had bought the cheaper ones previously and they didn’t last, I paid the $100 with shipping. When I installed the first one it was defective immediately. I tried to contact them but they have no customer service. They would not let me return. What company has no customer service. I returned them to the corporate address and disputed on my credit card. Rock Auto is still disputing. I would never do business with them again. What a rip as the $47 ones were flimsier than the $8 ones I bought on Amazon!"
"ordered 4 shock absorber assemblies for subaru forester, came in different packaging, 2 of which had been opened and resealed, 1shock labeled differently (had to call manufacturer tech assistance to find out if it was indeed their product) . No way to contact Rockauto other than their useless return and 'help' system. A simple enclosed explanation would have been most helpful. In the process of writing a new 'jingle' for their commercial."
"Ordered headlamps and park/turn lamps from rock auto. The headlamps came as described but I received the wrong park lamps. I paid for the more costly part and received the cheapest one which didn't even look the same. I contacted them and they arranged to send the right part, once again they sent the same wrong cheap part. Now they want me to pay for the return shipping which is more than what the parts are worth and they will reimburse me the difference. Go figure! Never deal with this company again!! "
"Ordered on mon at 4:08 pm! Paid 18.99 for expedited shipping (next day). Emailed company on tues wanting to know when it would ship! Got a response saying it should ship today (tues). Got an email weds morning saying shipped will receive 3/1!!!!! The fact that they have no PHONE NUMBER TO DISCUSS ORDERS IS A HUGE RED FLAG!!!!! "On February 18, I placed an order for a vapor canister vent valve/solenoid for my 2005 Chevrolet Colorado. When I looked up the part I had 3 choices to choose from. I chose the AC Delco PN specifically because I felt this to be a direct replacement part. (No problems plug in and go.) Not to be. While making my choice, I noticed the aftermarket unit had an adapter/ jumper wire with it. I thought to myself No, just purchase the OEM part. When I received the part, and attempted to install the part I found the plug in on the truck did not plug into the OEM part. Now I am stuck having to find a jumper wire from their competition to be able to complete my repair. Costing me $26.00 more. I feel this is a problem. I feel OEM should fit as it should. Or at minimum a note needs to be added; Jumper wire 1P1793 or equivalent needs to be added when purchasing this part. I guess I should have purchased the aftermarket unit. For a dollar more it would have fit my truck without the inconvenience. The bottom line is I feel I should be credited for the problem and cost I incurred. Also, the lack of technical support contact phone number is also poor business. I really liked their parts program; however this problem will make me think twice before doing business again. In addition I attempted to report the problem using their online form only to be locked out as soon as I punched in that I had installed the part. I did not want a refund I just felt the problem needed to be reported. I also attempted to call the corp office. No help there, the person that answered the phone does not know how to handle any complaint. "
