I've returned only 1 item to them, and they covered it under warranty. That means none of their other customers have ever returned anything to RockAuto.com, which is amazing for a company with so many customers and that has been in business for over 20 years.

"Ordered what I thought to be a rebuilt Distributor. Come to find out, it is a "service" to rebuild my distributor.
Scanned the pages of their web site over and over, tried to cancel the order. Could not do it.
This is what sunk it with Rockauto for me, discovering that you cannot talk to a human being about a problem with an order! Called corporate office, they refused to talk about it, and in fact, HUNG UP ON ME mid conversation.
I will dispute this charge on my credit card when it posts. Stay away from ROCK AUTO, if you expect any level of customer service, there is NONE!!!

"Payed $100 in overnight shipping costs for a mirror. The mirror arrived completely destroyed and smashed due to careless packaging. It's a mirror, but came with minimal bubble wrap and no fragile warnings on the box. I am now stuck in an endless fight to get customer service to answer me since they have NO PHONE CUSTOMER SERVICE. "Ordered a left and right side part for a car, warehouse sent me two rights. Emailed and returned one the them in hopes for an exchange for the left. Rock auto ships me another right side replacement for the left i needed. I email them again, the girl behind the computer screen shots me a picture of the recomendation of replacing in pairs. Being ignorant and misplaced as an employee the girl believes that replace in pairs means i need two rights and not that it actually means service the left when servicing the right and vice versa. Not knowing that she argues with me and tries to prove a nonexistent point. To this day im stuck in a infinute loop of only receiving right side engine mounts from rock auto. Not worth whatever your saving to deal with there ineptitude. "

"Saw a commercial about this company and how you should buy parts from them if you want the correct part.
Well, our auto repair company-in business over 40 years decided to give them a try and ordered a part. We know how to order the correct parts and gave their rep any and all information they requested regarding the vehicle. They sent the wrong part and returns were a series of hoop jumping. We could NOT talk to a live person and when we tried, we only got a rude customer service rep girl who refused to put us through to anyone else. We had to fill out an online form. We did not receive our shipping costs back even though the mistake was theirs.
Will NEVER order from them again. One and done. Learned our lesson.

No intention of helping customers. They just dont care."
"Ordered a new in stock air filter for my Chevrolet Spark. It took them over a week to package and deliver it to the carrier. I finally received the air filter 13 days later. Shipping is too slow for my tastes."
