"Last October I purchased a couple of parts for engine mount replacement from ROCKAUTO.COM. The upper (DEA/MRC A4351) lasted less than 5 months. The replacement was so VERY POORLY FINISHED I thought it to be already broken and unsuitable for installation so I returned it. The second replacement was finished less poorly and it seemed evident that DEA/MRC and RockAuto do not care about quality or appearance. When removing the 5 month old engine mount I discovered a marked difference in weight and my scale showed the NEW PART to weigh 5 ½ ounces less than the OLD PART. A full 20% reduction in weight!! I now believe the new MRC company stands for Made Really Cheaply. I believe ROCKAUTO.COM should look critically to the quality issues DEA/MRC exhibits but I suspect they really don't care. I will not buy anymore DEA/MRC parts from anywhere and will look for another retailer with a HUMAN available for service issues!! "

"About the only thing they got right was the delivery. FedEx got it here on time oh, that's about all I can say. I was misled by the way that the product I ordered was presented on their website. It led you to believe that you were receiving two of the product that I ordered. And when it showed up I only had one!? Now of course rockauto.com is out of the part that I need. And I cannot find it anywhere else on the internet even from the distributor!? I sent them an email, rockauto.com that is, explaining the situation. And all I got was a cookie cutter response that ended in well if it's not on our list we don't have it!? Basically a big F you once you've already got your order! I will never order from rockauto.com again! Nor will I ever recommend anyone else doing it either... Such a waste of time and money"

"The only real issue with Rockauto is the lack of customer service. Plus, the reality is they really don't care if there is a problem. If the problem can't be resolved through their website, well then you are screwed. There is no one to call to help sort out any problems. They reply to emails with boilerplate scripted information. If you keep pressing, they will simply close the ticket number and you'll have to start all over. If they don't feel like dealing with the issue, they simply refuse to reply to any emails and that's it you're done.
The only recourse you have with this people at this point is to start a credit card claim. If you specifically mention in your email that they have **** amount of days to respond before you start a credit card charge back then that will usually get their attention. But even then, you won't get any real help.
Rockauto does not stock anything. They are simply a middle man that takes your order then transmits that order to a 3rd party warehouse to fulfill and makes a commission on the sale.
In short, do yourself a favor and stay AWAY from this company despite what all the advertising states.
If you simply MUST do business with rockauto, NEVER EVER order anything like a remanufactured engine, transmission, etc. Only buy smaller parts that can be shipped via FedEx, UPS, etc, and doesn't have a complicated warranty process.

They also had the some of the parts in their inventory that were not there. they sent what they had minus what they didn't and have yet to refund me the money. they do not have any customer service reps, so you have to do it all yourself and calling their corporate office wont help you...I have tried. will never buy from rock auto again. "I ordered a part and when the shipment hadn't arrived over a week after the tracking had stated that it shipped I tried to contact a non-existent customer service. The only remedy is to continue to wait a just hope that the package eventually arrives. I definitely wouldn't recommend using the for parts. "
"I was very careful picking my part. Their system says it is the proper part. It was wrong. It was just pins to hold the interior door panel. Thank god it was no more expensive.
I tried to contact them. They will not provide phone customer service. I tried their web portal. It does not recognize my email even though I have my order number.
I advise NEVER using these people. If they had a zero on the rating scale that is what I would give them. Their wrong part was $7.89. The local shops have the wrong part I tried before for $2.99. I bought 2 plus shipping. These guys dont care one bit.
