"Just bought a Sony 18-135mm lens from RytherCamera. I Sent in the order and got a prompt email reply. In only a little time I got a call from James making sure I was getting exactly what I wanted for my specific camera (an a-65) since some Sony cameras are made with different sensors and/ mounts. He also made sure I new about their lens filter deal which I had not thought of and I got that too. I need this lens ASAP for a trip I am going on and James made sure I got the upgraded shipping special at the same price so there would be no doubt about getting it in time.

"I ordered a Canon SL1 with Tamron Lens last week from Ryther Camera after a quick search found them to be the lowest price by far. This was a late night purchase and I hadn't checked any reviews of the company before ordering. Since I live in Canada I had to pay $100 Fedex shipping costs which still left their price way below canadian retailers and they include a kit with camera bag, tripods, slave flash, memory card, screen protector and image recovery software. Two days after placing the order I received a call from a pushy salesman who used very low brow tactics in trying to convince me that I needed a $250 warranty and upgraded battery. This was a very negative experience and since I had already expected this order to be shipped I was pretty upset that they were still processing the order and trying to up-sell a knock off battery and warranty two days later. Then I started to question the legitimacy of the company and was shocked to go online and read other horrific reviews. There was little more I could do at that point and the next day I finally received a tracking number for a shipped parcel. 5 days after I placed the order I did receive the camera packed in new condition with all of the promised accessories minus an upgraded memory card which was promised. I called customer service today to complain about the uncomfortable experience I had and spoke with a surprisingly helpful salesman named Shawn who has shipped me and additional 8Gb memory card and UV lens filter to compensate for my troubles.
In summary, I would say this is a legitimate company who shipped me the camera I ordered. The extra accessories are not top of the line products but are actually decent quality items which are well suited for an amateur like myself. My advice would be to not buy anything from the used car salesman who will inevitably call you a few days after your purchase but the rest of the package I'm very happy with. "

"The product I ordered turned out to be the import model and wouldn't work for me at all. They did call to confirm first, and that was a good thing. The bad thing was it was very unclear that I had purchased the import and not the standard US model and when I tried to explain that everything I was seeing, including my receipt, said nothing to indicate it wasn't what I wanted they got very defensive and upset with me. All I was asking for was for them to update their site to be more clear what was being purchased (add the word "Import" to the title) and then work with me in some way since my receipt shows that I was paying a given price for a given item. They wouldn't do anything except cancel my order, sell me the US model for more than I could get it elsewhere, or offer to do the google search for me to find a different store to buy from. JUST BE AWARE WHEN BUYING FROM THEM THAT YOU MAY BE BUYING THE IMPORT MODEL AND NOT THE US MODEL. If this is what you want then great, just make sure first.
Also, the rep said on the phone that they didn't have any in stock anyway, and I asked him to clarify that because the website clearly said "Available/In Stock". Turns out that their site saying "in stock" doesn't mean that they actually have it in stock, it just means that it is available for them to order from their supplier. I find that strange and deceiving though the rep didn't think it was a big deal at all.
**Update**
I did get a call from a manager later in the day apologizing for the issues and he offered to sell me the the US camera at a comparable price to other sites but I had already purchased it elsewhere by that point. He also offered to send me an extra battery and a UV filter for my camera, free of charge, to make up for the issues.
I still can't fully recommend this company because they don't make it clear on their website you are buying an import and I still had the bad experience on the phone in the morning but at least the manager did his best to make it all right in the end, so I increased my rating a couple notches."

"I received a good deal from Ryther Camera for a Nikon D7000. They had an import version along with a USA version, and different pricing for each. They were upfront with me and explained why they supply different versions, so I was OK with it. When I tried my new Nikon, it had a dead pixel. This was a Nikon problem, not the camera shop. I took the camera back the next day and Alex A. helped me out right away with an exchange for a brand new camera body. I was in and out in minutes. The new body works fine, but this camera comes with the extended 3 year warranty, so I'm not really worried."
"I called to ask a few questions about the lens I was considering buying. I felt more comfortable talking to someone before just ordering this lens. James, my sales person was very helpful.
I was delighted in the price I found for this lens. I paid $90 less for it than the other web sites I look at were charging. This included the price of the HD UV filter for the lens. I would have had to purchase a filter separately to protect the lens from another vender. I was amazed at how quickly I received the lens since I opted for the free shipping. It was supposed to be, “7 – 9 Business Day Ground.” I ordered it on a Monday and received that Wednesday.

I researched the prices for a JVC DLA X95 and a

I've never done business with them before and I did have concerns since I would be spending over $11,000 on this first time purchase so let me give you a bit of advice.
I dealt with a very informed salesman named James who assured me that he would get me the best price for the home theater components I was shopping for and he did.
Nervous to give this company my credit card number for this large amount...you bet I was but James assured me I could walk into the company brick and mortar store in NJ anytime and meet the staff.
Not only did James get me the best price on both the items I wanted he sent them out FedEx at no extra charge.
Packages arrived on the date he assured me they would and complete with all the factory included accessories.
Do know this and James will explain you can purchase major items from RytherCamera with extended USA warranties or you can purchase them with overseas warranties. I purchased the extended USA warranties at a fair price and feel that if I have a problem then I'm covered for many years.
For what it's worth I found the service and prices to be exceptional and I will be a return customer!

"I'm a second time customer, first bought a Canon 60D w/kit lens short of 2 years ago, this time I got a Canon 7D (body only).
To be honest I was a little unhappy because the camera arrived in a generic Canon box (not the flashy retail one) but I got a really good discount so I can't complain, they have to make some money too:)

"Be careful. I ordered a Canon 5D Mark III with unbeatable price. Just $2680. They send me an e-mail saying that something was wrong in the order. So I called them. Its representative told me that for that price they will send me a Canon 5D Mark III from Malaise or Hong Kong without warranty. And the Firewall will be in Chinese.
Of course, they offer me the US warranty model for $3299.
Basically they do not do anything wrong, but they catch your attention with the price and then, they try to sell you something else.
