"I wanted to buy canon T3i DSLR and i am shopping around for acouple of weeks . I have been searching for a better price and i found rythercamera.com. Initially i was skeptical about the website. I called them and i visited their store , even though it is a bit far from my home. In my experience you can't beat the price and I was really surprised, they have very good deals. They explained about details about the product, warranty etc. Overall It was a very pleasant experience . I am very happy with my purchase. "

"I placed this order recently and was very satisfied with the process. My dad originally placed the order but wanted the shipping address to be different than the billing address. Steve kindly advised us of the potential fraud issue and so I ended up placing the order with my credit card so that it would ship to my location. Steve quickly made this change for me and assured me the shipping time was still going to meet my expectations because I needed the camera at a very specific date.

Being such a large purchase, Steve and the rest of the Ryther team has made this process very secure and pleasant. He understood the importance of the product and timeline and made me feel very comfortable with this purchase. I can't wait to receive the product and hope that it meets the same excellent expectations that I received from Steve and the Ryther team.

"Customer service seems to be one of those things that everybody
complains about, and it is also something that rarely seems to get better . . . yet rather give up hoping that things will ever improve, there is something that can be done. Steve is one of those great examples. Not only did he help me find what best met my needs, he gave me insight on how to better exceed those needs. "I sent in my online order and Steve x115 called me to inform that the unit in question was backordered. He made some suggestions, and we settled on a unit that was a slight upgrade. The price was acceptable and the issue was settled easily and quickly.
The unit purchased will be installed in Children's Cancer ward at MD Anderson hospital Houston, TX., and will brighten up these kids' lives and hopefully allow them to temporarily escape their current issues.

"My husband found this website on yahoo shopping searching for a TV. We were satisfied with the price but was unclear about the meaning of All Sales Final. We called the 877 number and received Steven Warren on the line. He was genuinely interested in our concern. He thoroughly explained the Depot process of us receiving the television along with recommending the 3-yr warranty and pricing. Being that we are a military family and my husband has served this country for 19 years, I always find it my business to ask for a military discount. Steven was very energetic in explaining because we are military that we could get the 3-yr warranty price for 5 yr warranty instead. This peaked our interest even more. He mentioned how he had served in the Navy and my husband Air Force. He was very pleasant and made our transaction effortless. When it came to shipping the product he said that where is usually takes 3 weeks, he would expedite it for 1 week. My husband is a sucker for that type of shipping. Steven made my main man a happy camper. So much he has already put up the mount in anticipation of the TV coming by next weekend. Thank you so much Steven for making this a grand experience for us.

"I placed an order of Nikon D600 body (import model) on March 16, 2013. Although I read the reviews here and had a basic idea about what kind of retailer RytherCamera is and what I would expect, I still decide to buy the camera from this store. The only reason of my decision was that they scored B with Better Business Bureau (BBB). I felt I can trust a store with a B score better than a store with a D or F.

The sales rep emailed me soon after I put in the order and requested me call him (that was a surprise). As expected, the sales rep tried to push the US model with a price close to the regular price tag. I hold firm with my decision as reviewers suggested here. What surprised me was that he told me the US model is made in Japan and the imported model is made in Taiwan, which is something I had never heard. That was the main point of his pitch to persuade me to buy the US model. I did some research afterwards about where D600 is made. All I can find point me to this conclusion: Nikon D600 body is only made in Thailand, nor Japan neither Taiwan.

Now, it has been almost a month, I haven't heard anything from RytherCamera yet. I called them the second week and third week, but was told to upgrade to the US model or wait…

So, the story is ongoing, stay tuned…

I got a call from Michael literally in minutes after my comments went live. I was surprised that he is so quick. Michael explained the reason that import model take much longer to ship and offered some price deduction to compensate any inconvenience I have experienced. Interestingly, I ended up buying the US model because I like to get it for an event coming up next week. For one thing I feel that Michael does care much about their business reputation and is trying his best to keep up with a higher standard while keeping the business floating. Based on this one point, I will give it a three star instead of one for now.

"After receiving my camera, my battery charger quit working. I called Ryther Camera and talked to Shawn. My husband and I just had our first child and I was in a hurry to get my battery charged so that I wouldn't miss a moment of her life on camera. Shawn quickly shipped the new charger to me and was so nice to work with!"

"I did a shopping search for the best price for a Cannon 5D Mark III camera and a lens. Ryther was lowest and had good reviews. I went to their site and it did not state if the camera has a USA warranty. I called them. It did not. The USA warranty was $300 more. I ordered. Their Free shipping takes 2 weeks and is not insured. The next day one of their salesmen called and tried to upsell me several items, lying about what I was receiving. He told me the included battery took 1 day to charge and would only last an hour. His better battery took 2 hours to charge and had double the life. The camera instructions clearly state that the included battery charges in 2.5 hours. I did not order and he was rude.

Later that day Billing called me. They could not charge the items because I was having them shipped to an address different from my billing address. Stated I needed to call my bank and have the second address registered with the credit card. Stated because they are a small store this is a security feature. I have ordered hundreds of items worth thousands of dollars from many internet vendors and have never heard of this. I requested that they cancel the order.

I quickly received an email from her supervisor asking me to call. I called and left a voice mail. The order changed to Canceled on their site. I called the supervisor again, explained the situation again and was told the order was canceled. Got a second email confirming the cancellation.

Got a call from another sales person. Was told the order had been shipped and my credit card had been charged. Told him no, it was canceled. Said I would receive a return shipping label. Explained to him my earlier conversation with billing that they could not charge my card and that I had a cancellation confirmation. Transferred me to his supervisor. He offered a free battery and upgraded shipping if I would order the camera. Turns out it had not shipped. They lied again. Told me every Internet vendor required a second shipping address to be registered on a card. Another lie. With great tedious difficulty I got the order canceled explaining numerous times I did not want to do business with a company which lied to me.

Would never do business with them under any circumstances. Gave them 1 star because a Zero was not available.

"We ordered our Canon D60 and the next day I got a call to review the order and pay the amount. I paid extra shipping with Fedex to get it sooner. Today I have recieved my camera (6 days later) and I am very satesfied!!! I will recommend them to everyone and I will be purchasing more equiment in the future. Thank You Kevin."

"I attempted to make purchases with Ryther. When I placed the orders, the items I received were not the brand/part number quoted. I was billed for multiple shipping charges; items had to be returned; and I have still have not been able to get an accurate accounting despite multiple requests.

I do not recommend this business.

4/9/2013: Ryther Camera replied to my comment stating they provided a refund. I never stated they had not refunded me money. Again. Ryther does not listen or read their emails. As stated above, I have requested a complete detailed accounting of my transactions with Ryther. To-date, Ryther has failed to provide any accounting. I have no idea if the amount refunded is what I was supposed to be refunded. I feel I was charged for shipping on items I had to return and I was not credited for the shipping, which included insurance, according to the packing list. Ryther did provide FedEx return labels, but I paid for the items to be shipped to me.

I still stand behind my review that I would not recommend Ryther Camera.

"Steve was a great help in assisting me with my purchase. His knowledge of the Nikon product was stellar! He was able to walk me through my purchase and answer any questions that I had. He assisted me greatly! I am assured I made the perfect choice with the camera I bought and I know that the service I received and will receive in the future from Ryther Camera will be the best you can find.
