David, of the sales dept, patiently answered all my questions and clearly explained the camera's qualities in easy-to-understand "non-geek" speak. He also helpfully detailed all the packages, battery capabilities, and maintenance plans....I felt like I was talking to my neighbor, not a salesman...absolutely no pressure to buy, or "buy up" to more expensive packages. About 6 weeks later, I found out from my son (who I bought the camera for) that he had lost all the maintenance plan info. Another call to Ryther and problem solved.....customer support couldn't have been more friendly and supportive. So, great price, terrific sales and customer support...they have it all and I recommend them to anyone."

"I ordered a camera online and paid $50 dollars for three day shipping. The camera was ordered online on a Sunday and was not delivered until Tuesday of the following week. (9 days)
Prior to the camera even being shipped I was told over the phone that it would be 8-10 days before it arrived. I asked for a refund of the $50 dollars spent on shipping. (there was a free shipping option I could have used)
I was told that they would put a $25 gift certificate/store credit in with the camera when they shipped it. When the camera arrived they had not given me a store credit/gift certificate
EDIT: The good people at Ryther Camera have corrected the issue I had with my order and have more than made up for it."

"I ordered a new lens for my Canon camera so that I could have 1 lens instead of two. I inadvertently clicked on the wrong lens and ordered the Nikon one by mistake. I received a call from Ryther Camera to ask if I wanted the Nikon one. They changed the order to the correct lens and offered me a filter kit for the lens as well.
Their service was great. I would have wound up with the wrong lens for my camera had they not called me. They even upgraded my shipping so that I could get the lens faster.

"Well, it wasn't too bad, but it wasn't good either.
I was on hold to make a change for my order for about 10 minutes, when someone finally answered, he asked for my zip code, I gave it to him, and he said hold on, and put my on hold. Then 5 minutes later he comes back on the line and says, what's your zip code sir, I gave it to him (AGAIN) and he said hold on (AGAIN) I was on hold for about 10 more minutes before I hung up, and called back. While I was on hold trying to call back, he called me back and said we got disconnected (because I hung up) and he happily canceled my order that I placed online 20 minutes prior to this whole ordeal. I was really glad I was able to cancel my order. But I was really irritated with the customer service, and I am glad I made my $900 purchase somewhere else.
