"I absolutely do not like the fact that a consumer website in this day in age does not reflect current inventory. This is common technology and a large retailer like this should absolutely reflect current inventory on its website. Also, they should not accept expedited shipping for back ordered items, as this totally defeats the purpose the consumer is paying handsomely for. 1 star for these aspects.
That being said I contacted customer service and they were able get me my item in time. I am very happy with the item I ordered, and its price. I will give them the 4 stars for this."

"I placed an order March 1 and the following day I got a declined payment notice because of incorrect address. It didn't bother me too much since it was a spur of the moment purchase. March 14 I received a shipment notice for the previously purchased scope. Weird right...? This time I was charged $99.99 more than the original price. How could this be possible? How was the incorrect address fixed? Why did they have my payment info 2 weeks after I purchased the item and charge me for something I didn't agree to? I spoke to Wendy Bagby with customer service and she had NO answers for me. Her only reply was to was for me to make arrangements to ship it back for a refund. "I have been VERY satisfied with SWFA with past orders. However, this order came up as Back-Ordered after I placed it. I did not want to wait so I both emailed and called to cancel this order, Two weeks later they have not replied to my email, still have not cancelled this order, and continue to list it as an active back order and waiting to ship. I guess my next step is to call my credit card company and have them prevent this charge from going through. Yes, I am very frustrated with this order and SWFA's customer service."
"I bought a VX3 3.5-10 Leupold demo model. It had a few minor nicks in the surface where it was mounted, but that was not a problem because it was disclosed when I bought it as condition "B" (minor nick or scratch)..
My problem with this was the way it was shipped. One end of the scope box was ripped out and the padding which goes around the scope was minimal and the outer box had minimal packing peanuts. I'm lucky in which it arrived "ok" and survived any knocks if it happened. Had this package fall / or suffer a 5-6' drop the existing packaging would've been a problem. This is not the norm from my purchases at SWFA. --> You guys could do better and next time QA your shipments before leaving the door."

Most other online retailers has an inventory system that doesn't allow you to order an item that is out of stock. Don't understand why they can't do the same.
