"A Customer Service that cares about their customers, which is something of a rarity these days, when I recently purchased the 3018 Pro waited for the tracking number to confirm it was on its way but didn't receive it so a quick email to Customer Service to explain.
I could not believe how quick things got sorted, true to her word (Lynn, Thank You) she had the order shipped that day (Wednesday) and it was delivered on the Friday, put the machine together only to be greeted with a minor hic-up, it won't work so after double even triple checking every connection I had to contact Customer Services again, once again as promised a new board would be sent out to me, in my opinion this was the best part Lynn even asked if I would mind waiting as the only boards they had available were at a warehouse in China, of course not I said only to be totally blow away when again less than 2 days later the new board is on my doorstep, from China and that was including the weekend.
This is what you call a Customer Service Department, one that puts the customer first, these days you don't find them that often but this one I would highly recommend to anyone.

"I had an issue that my display would not power on and there was a loud beep. I contacted tech support through email and we troubleshot the issue. It was a slow process because there was usually one day between responses and when tech support came to a conclusion, the display was out of stock. I ordered one off of amazon and it did not fix the issue. I contacted tech support with my findings and they sent a replacement control board and a replacement display. This corrected the issue and the control board is quieter than the original. The whole process took about one month, but they were helpful and corrected the issue. Overall I am happy with support. "

"I have had the 3018 Pro CNC with 5.5W laser for about 4 months now. I wanted to try CNC engraving and laser etching but didn't want to spend a lot of money only to find that it wasn't for me. Turns out, it was. I really enjoy it and the 3018 Pro has been a great machine to learn on.
Assembly of the unit was strait forward and only took a few hours. The software that came with the machine works fine, but if you get hooked, you will probably want to upgrade. But that's another story.
As a CNC, it is a light weight. But with a sightly less than 30 x 18 cm working area, that isn't surprising. I've actually successfully made a 20" diameter puzzle out of smaller pieces with it.
The laser takes some getting used to and will need some trial and error to find the right power and speed settings. There are plenty of Facebook groups to help with this. My preference is to etch wood and tile and I found a lower power laser worked better for this.
Sainsmart customer service has been great. I've had a few minor issues and questions and they have been very helpful... even going out of their way to help setup a laser that they don't sell!
If you want to dip your toe into the CNC\laser world without sinking a lot of money into it, I would highly recommend this product. Caveat... the work area is small, and the cutter isn't big. The CNC working distance is less than 2" deep, so if your plans are to make large signs, this probably isn't the machine for you. "
