The 1 kg roll I ordered did not have the same iridescent quality as the small roll. Regarding order fulfillment, I received the roll sooner than I expected. "

"Review of SainSmart Genmitsu 3018 Pro CNC Router Kit

This router kit was purchased from the SainSmart.com web site on February 17, 2019 with USA
shipping. It was delivered by UPS on February 25, 2019. Although the cardboard box was a bit beaten up and open along one edge, all of the contents were intact. SainSmart may want to consider double boxing these larger, heavier CNC machines to assure they arrive intact.

Since this was my second CNC built ( I also have the smaller SainSmart Genmitsu 1810 Pro Router), I
had some knowledge of how this machine would go together. Assembly was straight forward except
for the bearing blocks which support the bed. On my 1810 machine, two of them were cracked and
unusable and had to be replaced by SainSmart. That process was painless, thanks to Lynn who is the
customer support person, and she is the best! Replacement parts were sent via DHL and arrived in two
days. The 3018 Pro Router also had two cracked bearing blocks that also needed to be replaced. This
appears to be a weak point in the manufacture of these machines. The bottom surface of this block as
supplied is not flat nor is the opening large enough for the pressed in linear bearing; both issues cause
cracks to open up before mounting or after mounting them to the bed. I solved the problem on the
2018 Pro machine by creating a 3D printable bearing block matching the dimensions of the original
with a suitable size opening for the linear bearing and a flat bottom mounting surface. This bearing
block was printed using ABS and Tough PLA with equal results. My other modification to each of these machines was to add some large ferrite beads (type 43 material) to the various cables going to the X,Y, and Z axis stepper motors and the spindle motor to suppress noise that was getting into the controller board and causing occasional, unwanted motion when the control software was active. Good cable routing and these ferrite beads resolved this problem.

Both of my machines are used for creating PCBs using FR1 board material and 20 degree or 30 degree,
0.2 mm V bits. A waste board made from ¼ inch thick MDF is used on the surface of the bed and the
PCB material is attached to this using double sided Scotch brand tape. Both single and double sided
PCBs have been milled using trace widths as small as 0.5 millimeters. Some learning and attention to
details are necessary to achieve this level of accuracy, but that is part of the fun of learning to use one
of these machines.

Overall, the SainSmart Genmitsu 3018 Pro CNC Router is very well engineered and works wonderfully well with proper setup and operation. Given the cost versus performance, it is a great CNC machine for both the beginner and seasoned user. I give this machine 4.5 out of 5 stars as shipped and would make it 5 stars when the bearing block issue is resolved and some ferrite beads are included in the kit for noise suppression."
