"Recently I purchased a 3018-PROVer from Sain Smart. I was setting it up and noticed there was a 5V outlet on the controller board and wondered if I could drive a Raspberry Pi from it. I submitted a question to customer service and George handled my inquiry. I asked what was the max current that this port would support. Instead of the usual, "What are you trying to do?" or "drawing current from that port is not supported", George took my question and asked the engineers that designed the board. He got back to me first with a "Let me find out" and then a day later came back with the precise current it would support and what that port was engineered to be used for. To me this is absolutely perfect support!! I am really happy I purchased from Sain Smart.
And the quality of the CNC machine seems to be really good (have only played with it lightly so far)."

"Hardware is good. Support tries to be good. Some of their support answers are obvious, but you get that no matter where you go. I would purchase from them again. I own an Ender 3 which I purchased in 2018.

"It's actually already been a year since I ordered a soldering iron from SainSmart and I promised the nice customer rep that I'd write a review after using the product for the first time. It took me a long time to get around to trying it out but I finally did and I was very impressed with the quality of the product. Originally I misunderstood the product information and accidentally ordered the wrong tip for the soldering iron but SainSmart sent me the right one free of charge after I contacted them. The shipping was very quick on both times as well."
"I have had some issues with my 3018-PROVer, but every time I have emailed customer service there has been a response. The response actually addresses the issue in the email. Shipment of parts has been outstanding with approx 5-6 days from initial email to receiving the parts. Sainsmart take the time and make the effort to ensure everything goes smoothly and even follow up to check the parts arrived and everything was OK. Cannot fault Sainsmart at all."

"Bad experience with Amazon fulfillment buying a printer but Norah explained what happened and sent me a spool of filament in lieu of the shipping charge which they can't refund. Purchased the 3018 PROVer and it's been a joy from assembly to first run. Hardware clearly labeled in a box, detailed assembly instructions and some bits to make your first cut. I'll be shopping another printer soon and will definitely give the Sainsmart line a good look. Based on the CNC machine and the support I've received I'm sure it will be a good purchase."

"I've had my SainSmart Genmitsu CNC 3018-PRO Router Kit for a little over a year and every time I'd use it the control board fan would make noises like the bearings were going out. I could fix it by powering the control board off/on a couple times. I didn't think it was a big deal and couple replace the little fan anytime. In the middle of a project that had a time of about 4 hours on it, the fan started acting up again and quit running. I contacted Sainsmart support asking where I could get another fan. Hung replied that he wanted me to send a video in so I sent him a couple. A couple days later he replied that it wasn't the fan it was the controller board and that they were going to send me a replacement free of charge. I never expected that, like I said, it was already a little over a year since my purchase. I received it a couple days later and can't believe how much better it sounds.
